I wouldn't mind ranking underrated ORG players, if that is what people are getting at. If someone else wants to tackle it (since it's subjective anyway) feel free. The main thing I, or whoever writes it, would need help with is defining exactly what "underrated" means in the context of the ORG universe. |

I consider a lot of my character underrated considering the ones who make the merge with the exception of S2, Oscar and Heidi have all been come from behind gamebots. <3 Not sure if anyone agrees. Also not sure if I care. ETA: That said I don't think "I'm" underrated. I think what most people think of me is usually right. |

Heidi was not a gamebot. She was great at the game, but she also had an amazing personality, both on the board and in PMs. |

Oh I didn't mean they were strictly gamebots. I guess I used the wrong term. Courtney for sure had personality but she was still very come from behind and no one saw her coming..except maybe Randy and Tyson. most of my characters are like that though. I spend the first half of the game with a good grasp of the dynamics and people all thinking they have me in their pockets and then I slash the throats of those against me and those who cross me. I'm loyal to only one or two people everytime..and usually one of them wins (not because of me but for one reason or another). |

Before I get into the write-up, I need to say that the placement of these top four was particularly tough. I pretty much knew where the others would land for the most part, but I kept shifting these next four people around quite often. I've decided on the order now, but regardless, if you see your name on the list over the next few days just know that it was a tough decision on where to rank you. Okay, the person I gave the #4 spot to is...... chapera rocks Referenced Games: Palau Redux (1st) Guatemala Redux (7th) Fans vs. Favorites (9th) Expedition: Azores (3rd) I hate the fact that I know I haven't seen CR's best ORG performances. The funny thing is, that doesn't stop CR from making my top four. He was beyond impressive in Palau Redux, playing one of the best games I've ever seen, and this continued in every other game I've seen him play. CR has one of the absolute best social games around (as is common for players in this ranking) and has a deadly strategic game too. In fact, super deadly. You really don't hear as much about strategic games anymore, the focus is all on the social because as an ORG player, we all pretty much know the best strategic moves for ourselves. Well, CR really knows what the heck to do, and has proven that time and time again. CR played as Stephenie in Palau Redux, and from start to finish, owned the game. I was sent to Exile Island in the first round, and when I came back and joined the same tribe as CR, he hit me over and over with lengthy strategic PMs. I didn't have a choice but to trust him. I rarely see a player so quickly open up about strategy, but it wasn't like CR was spilling the beans on alliances and going nuts. He was trying to include me, knowing I was just on Exile Island for a few days and I was a vote that could be scooped up. Well, that's exactly what CR did. I was his pawn, whether I liked it or not. The game continued on and after a swap, my alliance blindsided one of CR's close ally, which didn't make him very happy. I remember at the end of the game CR knew everything that was going on, but was surprised only once, and that was when we pulled off that pre-merge blindside. The funny thing is, when we merged, CR played us and played us hard, convincing us he was still on our side. Instead, CR had made very solid allies in his new post-swap tribe, and that new alliance gained the numbers using past votes to their advantage. My group was picked off, I ended up in 7th place, but to me it was a no brainer: CR was running the game. He continued to dominate, made the final two, and easily earned my vote, along with other jurors', to win the game. He was such a dominant force socially and strategically. He returned in Guatemala Redux against 16 anonymous players. Surely he would be screwed after destroying his opponents in Palau, right? Wrong. CR quickly established strong alliances despite some people wanting to go after him. He was untouchable until the merge, basically, where everyone ganged up on his closest ally, island sun. At that point, CR found the Hidden Immunity Idol and played it at the final nine. He didn't need to, but it was a good move regardless as he got four votes. CR's run in that game ended with him in 7th place, but it was remarkable despite him not winning. For such a gigantic powerhouse and threat to make it all the way to the final seven is incredible. That is exactly why I was so afraid of him in Fans vs. Favorites. We quickly made an alliance and we discovered that we had the exact same manner of playing the game. Before the first night of the game was over with, we had sent a bunch of long strategic PMs back and forth. Had we wanted to, we could have run that game, but unfortunately I had an alliance elsewhere that I couldn't betray. I really wanted to make a run at it with CR because it would have been fun and I knew we could have done it. We breezed past the Fans and made the merge, and at the final nine Tribal Council I had to tell CR the truth: I was in another alliance and I had to vote him out. Nothing but a respect vote, and naturally had it been an anonymous game for us, he would have kicked my ass like he's done in the other two games I've played in with him. But what I took out of FvF was how awesome CR was, anonymous game or not. Everyone loved him, and plenty of people trusted him. That's really the only reason he was the second Favorite voted out of the game. Most recently, I played with CR in Expedition: Azores. We never actually interacted with each other until the merge, which was also my boot round. I had no opinion on CR prior to that point because he seemed to keep a low profile with board posts. In PMs, however, his game was completely different. That first merge night we established a pretty solid bond, and even though I hadn't met him before that day, I trusted him a lot. It's possible that I trusted him the most in the game at that point. He seemed to genuinely believe what I was telling him. What I never picked up on was that CR really wanted me gone. Because I had three past votes, CR's tribe knew they could easily get rid of me, and that's what ended up happening. But that darn CR lured me in and made me feel super comfortable with him. I didn't have a choice either way, but had I stuck around and made it further, you can bet that I would have eventually become CR's slave since I liked and trusted him so much. CR's tribe/alliance Pagonged my former tribe until they were the final five players remaining. CR had a tight alliance with everyone, from what I could tell, and I was convinced he would side with Kyle and aras. Nope. CR flipped (or did he really?) and took out Kyle, a big threat. At this point, it was clear that CR was the best player in the game. He had kept his tribe, as dysfunctional as they made have been, together for a reason. He had the control. Unfortunately, he was booted in third place. Had he made the final two he would have easily won, no questions asked. Instead he joined the ranks of amazing players to get booted at the final three. I also know he came in 2nd place last year in Vertigo 6, a game I wasn't a part of. It's weird to me that he was in a final two and lost, but again, I don't really know much about that game so maybe he had some bad moments there. Still, 2nd place is awesome, of course. CR is such a deadly overall player, it's ridiculous. Ally or not, everyone seems to love him when they play with him. He can steamroll over his opponents with strategic and social ease. He has the ability to quickly become well-connected. By the end of the first round, it's very likely that CR has half the cast in his back pocket. People wish they had the skills CR has. If they did, they'd be on this list, easily. But there's only one CR. Even though he is #4 overall here, he excels in certain areas over people ranked higher than him. Going by what I've heard, if I had seen CR early in his ORG career, I could see him making the top three, two, or maybe even being #1 on this list. For now, going by only a few games I've seen him play, CR makes it to #4, and really, he can only go up from here. |

CR is amazing and I'm glad I got to play with him in Azores. However, just thinking of that game and how you robbed me Jeff makes me hope your board crashes or something when you decide to host again. |

Chapera won Mikester's Isolated game as well, and that was so crazy. He played as Monica and... basically, 7 minutes into the game had everyone wrapped around his finger. He basically ran the game until the Final 6(?), when I jumped to group up with the two outsiders and blindside Jason out. Despite that, Monica STILL got the other two to keep him over Tonya by the basis of "I've done poorly in comps!" and plain incredible social skills. So of course he won the final HoH and got Will to boot me, which cemented his victory. Even when people KNOW he's huge threat he still manages to stick around. |
