But at some point I started watching the second season of the Mole (during its original airing, when it was put on hiatus after the first few episodes), and it made me very intrigued by the competitive reality game premise. I already knew a little about Survivor, so I figured maybe it was worth a shot, considering how much I liked the Mole. The first episode of Survivor I saw was Grindgate. Needless to say, I was not immediately hooked. I didn't watch another episode until I tuned in halfway through the finale for Thailand, watched a little of it, and decided afterwards that I would try to get into the show. So I went online and started looking up info for Amazon. I was quickly spoiled, but nonetheless, I watched every episode of the season and fell in love.

Unregistered	I saw an episode of TAR1 and had nightmares, but it kind of got me interested into reality TV, even if I didn't watch another until the premiere of TAR 3. My first episode of Survivor was T-bird's boot in Africa. I watched about half of it and was intrigued. I kept checking every Thursday night for the next three or four weeks to see if it would by on again, but the finale had happened the previous Sunday...so yeah, I was out of luck. I randomly caught the General's boot in Marquesas, which was an awesome emotional episode with the first full family visit. I didn't watch any other episodes from the season, but I started at the premiere of Thailand and was hooked since (with the exception of HvV because I couldn't get through it).

Prior to watching it for the first time I thought it was some Fear Factor-esque show and thought Janu/Coby were permanent jurors that showed up each season or something before I "got" it in the next episode. But the first episode I had ever seen (for a few minutes while channel surfing, I thought it was just some nature show) may have been episode 1 or 2 because I remember BB. Then I partially saw another early ep where Ramona was still in. I finally started watching in full with the Jenna boot.

First started watching regularly at the F9 in Palau and first full season was Guatemala. I was caught up in the Stephenie frenzy and started watching regularly once I realized it was a pretty good show even after she left. Hard to believe now since she's one of my most hated Survivors ever that I have her to thank for getting me into the show permanently. @_@

When it came time for Tocantins, two things happened: 1. VHS's were dying 2. I discovered the Youtube page for every single Survivor and TAR season ever So Gabon was the last season I got on tape. I've even ditched/taped over some seasons since then, especially the ones that are now on DVD. But for years I was the proud owner of every Survivor season ever on VHS. ETA: Yes, I realized the VHS wave died long before Tocantins aired. I just meant for me personally, I had no direct access to a VHS anymore once I was out of college.
