Time for the ninth entry! And I am fully prepared for this one to get approximately zero support.

You get my support. It's not in my top ten, but it's an entry I can certainly support.

Not a huge fan of either of the movies on the actual list so far, although I do admit that I find Passion to be quite the achievement :drop

My rough top 10:

1. 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days
2. Lost in Translation
3. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
4. Amelie
5. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
6. Spirited Away
7. The Hurt Locker
8. The Class
9. Bright Star
10. A Christmas Tale

3 French movies, 3 American movies, 1 Japanese, 1 Chinese, 1 Romanian, and 1 British/Australian coproduction. Also my #11 would probably be Canadian so my list is so diverse ^_^.

Pan's Labyrinth, No Country for Old Men, Cast Away, and the Village are all fantastic movies. Slumdog Millionaire is great too,

Agreed. Along with City of God.

Pan's Labyrinth not making the top 10 makes me really excited to see this ranking.

There are certain movies that just hit us in ways we can't really describe in words. In most ways, that's the overall feeling I have about THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST. It got me. It just did. And I love it for it.

Perfect way to sum it up for me. What a great write-up. Definitely would be on my top 10 list.

I went to a Friday matinee by myself to see this movie and I was so glad I went alone. I was a freaking mess. I was crying hard watching this movie and thinking how horrible this was and of the other people in history who have suffered similar fates. I was hit with wave after wave of emotion.

I've teared up at a lot of movies, but this was the first one that made me break down. Another one that made me lose it, though not to the level Passion did, was The Stoning of Soraya M.

I am really looking forward to the rest of your ranking. Off to a great start. :popcorn

I  midnight problay's movie taste.

I probably wouldn't have Lost in Translation on mine, but Spirited Away is easily the best animated film of the last decade, outranking anything that Pixar has ever done. Of the Pixar movies, Ratatouille has been my favorite. I may love Coraline more than any Pixar movie, though. Animated films the last few years have been spectacular.

Moulin Rouge! would probably be one of my top picks, but I haven't really thought about a Top 10 list of the decade.
Famewhore Academy 4 - Fox (6/20)
Survivor Nicaragua - Chase Rice (9/40)
Big Brother: Fuller - Jaye (5/16)
The Nightclub 4 - Jaxx (6/20)

Alll of the films besides Bright Star were commercially succesful and for a mass audience at least in their own country if not globally.

Wait until someone has a 6 hour Holocaust Documentary to call them out on a pretentious list.

#8 is coming either later tonight or tomorrow. Here's a hint -- it's from 2003. And it's not a drama.

 Spirited Away ACTUALLY isn't my favorite Ghibli movie (Grave of the Fireflies is) and not even my favo Miyazaki movie (Princess Mononoke) but it's still my #3 animated movie of all time. As for Pixar... ew. So overrated. My Pixar ranking:

1. Finding Nemo
2. The Incredibles
3. Ratatouille
4. Up

...then everything else, which ranges from just overrated (Wall-E, the Toy Story series) to complete shit (Cars).
