Here's another hint -- out of all of the posts in this entire thread, not one person has mentioned it or even come close to mentioning it. But if you're someone who knows me very well, it's a movie that should be fairly obvious. Jeremy knows what it is (I spoiled the top 3 for him while I was in Chicago) and I would think Jeff could make a reasonable guess... To quote the beginning of its writeup... "The first film to be added to this list was (name of film). It was placed at #1 at that moment. It is the only film that never faced risk of being moved to a different placement or dropped."

Frank Darabont is one of my unquestioned writing and filmmaking heroes. And reading the ending was one of the very few moments I've ever had in reading a script where I felt sick to my stomach because of the pitch-black darkness and power of what I read. I was fucking stunned. And I cannot wait to see exactly how Darabont executed it.
