Remember when Lex and Kathy voted out Jerri? That wouldn't exactly have mattered if Alicia and Tom had flipped, huh? I own the ASS DVDs and was watching them with commentary and Alicia told Kathy that if they knew how rude Rob was being to them in that really dramatic scene when Kathy is with Lex and is like crying, they would have flipped. So it seems like Kathy and Lex never even approached Alicia.

They put all their eggs in his basket just like every other person in the game. Yes, they did it so they'd be able to pursue a post-merge alliance with Rob. But there was certainly the expectation that Tom would flip. He wouldn't, which meant Alicia was irrelevant. Had Tom and Alicia flipped, we would have seen a much more interesting end game, I think.

Especially with not even tying the F4 vote or, going by how convinced she was that they'd draw rocks, not even asking what the tiebreaker was. I recently rewatched Borneo though and she's amazing there <3

Anyway "ASS suckitude" doesn't exist because there's no way the season could have been better.

Yeah, you're right that the producers should tell them. Or maybe she didn't read the rulebook Marquesas' rock drawing was actually a blunder by Jeff when it was supposed to be a challenge all along, apparently. You'd think that after that mistake they would have clarified that final 4 tiebreakers were challenges though. Lol at back-to-back errors in Africa/Marquesas that arguably produced asterisk winners tho <3 I guess I can somewhat understand the logic in voting Rupert out because she probably knew both Amber/Rupert would beat her, so she banked winning the final challenge to take Rob - but I think Rob would have beaten her too. At least if Rupert beat Rob in the tiebreaker she would have secured final 2. ASS is a dramatic season but it's one of those seasons I hate because of the way it turned out. That doesn't stop me from loving Gabon/Nicaragua tho so idk...maybe because pretty much the entire merged tribe of ASS sucked (in the context of that season, since Kathy was amazballs in Marquesas) and the final 7 were all arguably the least 'ASS-worthy', sans Rupert, of the cast.
