Previously on The Amazing GTS Race..... 11 teams set off on a race around the world. Throughout, they experienced the high highs......
And the low lows.....
The teams fought amongst each other to stay in the race.....
Eight teams came up short, while three thrived and made it to the final leg. toomanynachos & Blueberry were underestimated from the very beginning.
And they had their fair share of set backs.....
As their relationship was put on the line.....
But through random retardation, they managed to stay in the game and make it to the final three. messiebessie & Snoopy argued since the beginning.....
But throughout the race, they figured out a way to work together.....
And after finally finding their rhythm, they made it to the top three.
Blondzilla & Teighteen hardly made friends on the race as they played a cutthroat game.....
But through their skills in the tasks.....
And their exceptional glitter skills, they made it all the way to the final three. Only three teams remain. Soon, one of them will win the first ever Amazing GTS Race. |

LEG 12![]() ROUTE INFO: Fly to your final destination city: New York City. RACERS: Throughout this race, you've flown around the world to various countries. Now, it's time to fly back to the U.S. to the city where it all belonged, except for the first time ever, you'll need to actually figure out the flights that will get you there. That's right - in true TAR fashion, you'll need to "book" flights from Australia to New York City. Here's how you'll do it: You are being provided a charter flight from the Pit Stop at Uluru to Darwin. This means that Darwin, Australia is your starting point for your flights. Your ultimate goal is to reach New York City as quickly as possible. There are three major airports outside of the city, and you must arrive at one of these three: JFK, LaGuardia, or Newark. Using a website, you must find flights/connecting flights to get from Darwin to one of those three airports outside of New York City. There are some rules, of course. You are looking for flights that leave Australia no earlier than 5:00 a.m. on Monday the 25th. Since the times shown when booking flights are often the local time of that country, let's say it's 5:00 a.m. in Darwin, not in the U.S. Again, your ultimate goal is to find the quickest way to get to one of those three airports outside NYC. Connecting flights will be involved, of course. Don't worry about pricing or whether seats are even available on the flights you want. All I'm looking for is the flight information. When you think you have the quickest flights, you must PM me the flight information, providing a link(s) to the webpage that shows your route. Often, when booking a flight, all information concerning departure/arrival times of all flights can be found on one page, so it's very possible you'll only need to send me one link for me to see all information. Minutes will be assigned for this task according to how many teams reach New York City before you. If only one other team has found a flight route that beats yours, you will have 3 minutes added to your time for this leg. If both of the other teams beat you, then you will have 6 minutes added to your time for this leg. If there are any questions, please feel free to ask here or via PM. I know this is a new type of task so it may be a little confusing. Ultimately, what I'm looking for is a PM with your arrival time in New York City using one of the three major airports I listed above, and a link to the webpage showing the information for your flights. Unlike previous tasks, I will allow you to submit one additional "answer" for this task after you have answered it for the first time. This means you only get two tries at this. If you try a second time, that will be final. The first PM you send me will be trashed. |

Since this task requires the teams to find a flight that leaves Darwin on Monday, the deadline to send me the flight information is Sunday night at midnight EST. If you do not complete this task, you will receive a 10 minute penalty. AUDIENCE: Go ahead and rank the final three teams please. If all goes well, this race will end on Monday night. |

I have now received flight information from each team. Remember how I said each team gets two chances at this? Well, if you all want, we can end this task now if you're satisfied with what you have. All I'll need is for one person from each team to post in here that whatever flight information I have from them is final. If I get that confirmation, we'll move on with the leg. If not, this task will still end at midnight EST tonight, and the leg will continue tomorrow. |
