I need help! :(
So I'm sure if you have ever played an ORG with me, you do know some small details about my school situation. If you haven't, or just forgot/don't care, here's the deal:

I go to a small, Catholic high school. And when I say small, I mean really small. My class only has 24 people in it, the Freshman has an astonishing 9 people ( ) and overall, we only have like 80 students at the high school level. Since our school isn't funded by the government, and we have an extremely small student body, the tuition is extremely high.
On top of that, due to the lack of boys in the school (only 17 overall  ), I'm usually forced to play sports I don't like at all and just suck at. It's never fun, and I hate being pressured to be the jock when ~clearly~ that is not me.
Some of our teachers suck too. My religion teacher / Yearbook adviser is seriously the biggest CUNT I have ever met in my entire life. She's a fucking loser. She's totally unprofessional. She's clinically bipolar and really shouldn't be working with kids. She gives us so much busy work, and rarely teaches us important things. Ever since her beloved Class of 2010 graduated last year, she hasn't been invested in the school at all and she's just not fun to be around anymore. She sucks.
I also hang out with people older than me. I hate my class of 2012, so when I was freshman, me and my best friends attached ourselves with the Class of 2010, two years older than us, and we never looked back. But alas, my friends graduated and are off in college, and my three other best friends transferred to public school, essentially leaving me with zero friends at my school :( :shrug .

Now, there are some upsides to this school
1) the guidance counselor is one of the best around. Due to the small number of students, she gets a lot of individualized attention with the seniors. She helps them with their college essays. And when it comes to scholarships:
Last year, the Class of 2010 was offered over $2 million in scholarships, despite only being a 24 person class. If you do the math, that's about $83,300 worth of scholarships per senior :scared: . And that's amazing.
2) and that's about it.

Now I face a dilemma: Should I leave and go to school with my friends and have fun my senior year, or should I suck up the horribleness of the private school, and graduate there in hopes of getting a good scholarship? I'm torn.

Here's some of my stats already:
GPA: 3.2 (but that's on a 7-point, private-school scale as opposed to the 10 point, public school scale. It would be much higher at public school)
ACT Score: 23

I mean, I know some people would just say suck it up, you only have 1 more year there. But seriously, I don't have fun there at all. I dread waking up every morning and going. And some people might say it's moronic to leave a school and start your senior year in a brand new place.
But I miss my friends, and I honestly think I'll have more fun at the public school. What should I do?

I actually face a semi-similar dilemma? As in I go to an all guys Catholic school which SUCKS and I really wanna drop out cause all my friends go elsewhere, but fuck it, I'm just gonna suck it up I guess.

Idk, If I were in your situation that's what I'd do.

...why not force yourself through school for the money and just hang out with your actual friends outside of school?

The people telling you to suck it up are right. Are you being bullied or something?

Solution: sleep in class, see friends on weekend

That's the Josseppe95 method.

Um...yeah suck it up, imo. Unless you're are going to school every day to be teased and bullying it can't be THAT bad...just boring. And yes, switching schools for senior year is just...stupid.

From this and things I've heard from Joss, anyone who sends their kid to Catholic school is a child abuser.

I also feel at the high school I'm currently at, I'm not getting the normal ~high school experience~. I hate having only varsity sports teams (JV is non-existent), I hate it that everyone in the school can fit in the cafeteria and have lunch in the same period.

And I find it extremely :alien yet also :lbf that I know everyone's name, even people not in my grade.

You pretty much answered your own question. If you want to leave the school, then do it. It's your life and you need to do what you feel is best. As long as changing school for your friends does not have a negative impact on your grades, I don't see what the problem is.

That's kind of the point. Right now, I'm 100% sold on leaving but down the road I think it might end up being a dumb decision that I might regret.
But I might take the risk...

I say stick it out. High school is pleasant for nobody, but it sounds like you have a bit of an advantageous situation despite the overall shittiness of your school. You're gonna need those scholarships, and with them, you can write your own ticket to the college of your choice. Stick it out for now and pick a college you love and you'll be glad you did.

And you'll forget high school I remember like 25% of the kids in my class and I only graduated class of 2006? This one kid in my class faked a suicide on facebook and I was only like lol who was that again.

I definitely feel for you cause it sounds like your high school is shittier than most, but no high school is gonna be fun. As Bubba would say, "Think about the merge!" When it comes, you will be glad you stuck with a bad school that gets people good scholarships.

High school blows. Waking up at 5:30 everyday to go to a school you hate with people you hate doesn't exactly sound like a good time imo.

Public schools have a 10 point scale? Since when? Also since when did bullying stop in highschool?

Anyway good scholarships are fantastic if you have the drive to maintain them. I had a 10,000 a year one that I lost because I'm a lazy retard, but honestly to me it sounds like it might be worth suffering through a shitty senior year. College fun > senior year of highschool fun anyway right?

I loved highschool :shrug Shit was so jokes.

Anyways, life is about taking risks. If you feel like your final year is important to you down the road and being with your friends is worth potentially risking your future, than do it.

This is what I always do for big time risks. Right down both choices and divide them. For each choice, right the pros and cons and give each a numerical value from 1-10 depending on the importance or impact. If moving schools does not double in value of staying, I wouldn't do it.

There's just no quitting. You can't give yourself that option. Even though you're hurting right now, that's the answer, you cannot give yourself that option.
