I recordered a cover of Rehab but my husband said some bollocks about it not having the right intensity because I've never been an addict or some crap which I guess means he didn't like it.

I bag Back To Black. The Rumblestrips version of that shows a guy can sing it.

I want to hear your version! I reckon it would be good.

Lol he's so polite. You two should do a duo and ~bring it~.

LOL Yeah he totally tells me if he doesn't like my stuff. He didn't like my cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit either. And he TOTALLY wants to do a duet on here. lol Pity our Barbie girl attempt was such a failure, but we do a cover of "There's a Light" from Rocky Horror. He RiffRaff and I'm Janet.

SFGP 80s- This didn't really work for me. I mean I do want you, and I already did </creepy> but I dunno if this fits the persona you have on this message board and in this competition. You're the sweet one, not the rocker type. Sorry but this just isn't you. And of course with this song that changes tempos so much it kind of exacerbated some of the technical problems you've had. Sometimes we get boxed in to a certain mold and we can overcome that by surprising anybody with a surprisingly out-of-character track, but here I think you tried to be something you're not and that's why it didn't work for me.

SFGP 90s- This, on the other hand, I loved. What is it with Disney songs? You just nail them. This is a terrific song, I think you have a knack for musical theatre songs because they allow you to imbue your songs with character. Once again you bring in an incredible vibrato that hasn't gotten old at all, something about this feels effortless like you've sang it so many times that you just know what you're doing. You keep building as go and the backing track gets more dramatic, so this was just incredible.

AFF 80s - Probably considered one of the most quintessentially 80s songs, so very fitting song choice. Your singing is good and there is something very synthpop and Eurotrashy about this song where hearing your soulful but obviously American voice belting it out sounds very surreal and adds something that the original was lacking; this definitely sounds like it is combining multiple genres and it works. This was not something I was expecting from you but I think you did well with it. The note you held at the end there was my favorite part.

AFF 90s - Well this was a risky choice for many reasons, but you did well with it for the most part. Your singing is right on and nobody can say you're not a risk taker but the rap parts sounded a little ridiculous to me and the "peace" at the end was a little awkward. I disagree with the people who said this wasn't 90s, it is, but the fact that you couldn't pull off the rap parts and had to take out the "one time time" makes me think this probably wasn't the best pick for you. Still your vocals are mostly really powerful and the part where you're singing but not with words is done extremely well. This sounds great but there were just a couple parts that made it a B and not a perfect A.

alexi 80s - Never heard this song in my life but it is extremely 80s. I know your subtitle is "and it is fucking awful" so maybe you were just trying to set our expectations low but I actually really enjoyed this. This song is so very you, I can very much picture you singing this at a british discotheque in the 80s while the patrons dance and snort coke off each other. I love the notes you hold and the higher notes that contrast your normal deep manly voice. lol. The ending is superb, you always nail random outbursts in songs like that and that one week where you had the laugh.

alexi 90s - This was really sweet, there is a very understated and masculine sweetness in this (lol I must sound so horny when I write these) but as we approach finals I think you're gonna need to dig deeper for some more earth-shattering vocals if you are going to win this. Can you do that? idk.

Alffmix 80s - Who absolutely adores powerballads? ncassaro does. And you seriously have the most perfect voice ever for powerballads. As soon as the piano started I got a chill and knew this was gonna be perfect, and it was. I feel the pangs of loneliness in the verses, and then the chorus starts and those pangs become Alffy the rocker telling us how it is. "How do I get you alone? How do I get you alone?!" in the second chorus was by far the most amazing impressive part of this, and the end where you hold that last note was something straight out of a 1980s movie montage (that is a compliment.) You could travel back in time and create a hit single from an 80s movie soundtrack, I have no doubt.

Alffmix 90s - You are incredibly versatile (lol), going from an 80s powerballad to probably the definitive 90s overly bubbly pop song. I wish I had listened to this one before "Alone" because that one blew me away so much, but I know this is just as good, it's just the source song itself that's not as good as "Alone" is. You absolutely add an edge that was lacking in the Spears version (thanks a lot Alffmix, I am now exiled from the gay community for saying that). I seriously thought it was impossible to take this song and add a badass edge to it, but you do that. Taking it higher than Britney originally did in the final chorus was a risk that paid off extremely well for you. I also love your ode to madhackrviper.

trickmind 80s - I love this song, and this is exactly the kind of performance I wanted to hear from you for an 80s song. You absolutely capture the spirit of this song, I could easily see you performing it at the VMAs like Madonna did in a white dress and losing your virginity on stage. You pull off the innocent/risque duality that Madonna does in this same song extremely well, you are the Natalie Portman-in-Black Swan of GTS Idol which I pat myself on the back for calling from day 1. Great job with this.

trickmind 90s - Oh I love this song, and your voice suits it well, but your tempo seemed really off from the original. I think you could do this song well and it'd be perfectly suitable for your voice, but the tempo was too distracting. Good song choice, good job knowing your niche in this competition, but a bad technical performance means I didn't like this as much as I could have.

Thanks so much for the crit ncassaro!!! I'm not sure about my tempo problems with some songs. I sing along with the karaoke tracks words on screen and maybe they are not good karaoke tracks. I'm not sure what it is.
I love your writing style ncassaro, you paint such great word pictures! :<3

Thank you so much ncassaro. Very flattering. I like how you pinpointed certain things.

And I believe I forgot to thank PT for his F6 critics. They were very constructive and ~real~ and I liked them.

Am I the only person that thinks a fine frenzy didn't actually sing, and just let a Youtube cover of Stay Beautiful play the entire time? It's not that hard to tell...

That's the thing I hate about ORGs the most. It's a bloody job without getting any money. Basically, you're trading a large junk of your social life for online cred in a forum of 50 people.
