Really? It's jocks pretending they're running a football team. It's not any different than a nerd pretending to explore a dungeon.
how is that fundamentally different from you gather a group you think will perform well and do head-to-head battle with creatures in a dungeon. whoever gets the most xp wins (obv). Xp system is based on how well the players kill things No one is really running a football team and no one is really killing things. However, most FF players would make fun of someone playing DnD in a heartbeat. |

I actually agree with this. :ph43r: I don't deny FF is nerdy or similar to D&D and whatnot, but it's fun so I have no real issue playing it. |

I guess my point is you draft a real person that you then watch on TV. The whole REAL thing, not a fake anything. I draft some random Oakland Running Back and now I actually care about watching the game. |

I think I posted in here awhile ago, wanting to join. I ended up joining a second league which is why I never followed through with this one. Anyways, I had my draft for my main league the other night. I got some good picks (Aaron Rodgers, Dwayne Bowe, Michael Turner, Steelers defense, Raiders' kicker) and some I am iffy about. Unlike last year, where I coasted on my Vick/Foster/Turner/Calvin Johnson/Steelers defense, I know I will need to make some moves this time. Also, it is a PPR league and I probably should have focused a little more on getting a really good WR early. |

This is kinda true, but I don't think D&D is the best comparison. But yeah, a lot of guys' Fantasy Football habits are eerily similar to some of the hardcore Survivor fans' Edgic habits... |

I remember one year I joined a EPL fantasy football league and I hated it since it meant I started having to watch bad teams like Charlton Athletic, Newcastle and Sunderland if i had 1 of their players on my team that week. |

I'm trying right now but yahoo isn't letting me change the draft time so I'm not sure what to do. If you're not there it'll auto draft for you so it isn't necessarily catastrophic, I'll keep trying though ETA: I was able to fix it, and the only available time according to yahoo before the season starts is tomorrow at 11:30 EDT. Is that okay? |
