That high school shooting scene was extremely similar to Columbine. Shotgun, check. Library, check. Kids hiding under the tables, check. Killing jocks, check. Shooting people under the tables in the face, check. It was uncomfortable to watch. |

This is one of those cases where I really wish I could share everything I see in dailies. For instance, just saw a scene with Constance (Jessica Lange) and Larry the Burn Guy (Denis O'Hare) that contained, seriously, some of the greatest acting I've seen on TV. Then there is the gross out factor stuff. Suffice it to say, so much more greatness to come. Beauregard! |

Constance (Jessica Lange) is amazing. Really, every single take she nails it. Funny that they have thrown out quite a few hints as to what is upcoming and yet nobody has guessed it yet that I know of. |

Honestly, this show is simply an excuse to display as many crazy scenes as they can while the main couple walk around completely oblivious as to how crazy things are. There's very little internal logic to it beyond the surface excuse to write crazy shit. |

The Logic is "the is what happens when you create Glee, a quirky feel good comedy with music as part of its soul and suddenly sell out for the iTunes money and become a preachy, cultural touchstone". Really, I see all the happy preachy glee shit being reversed for this. As for central plot, the House is the Plot, not the people. IMO that is, I've never spoken to the writers or anything but when I watch, that's the vibe I get, the people don't matter so much as the space it happens in? |

I plan to! It'll be scary as shit I watched it solely because of the long ass thread discussion thread here and was pleased. I'm thru ep 5 now and its so good. The high school shooting stuff was really creepy but GOOD. I'm really loving Constance, Addie (RIP :(), Tate, and even Vivian. And the maid intrigues me. I read up thru everything I've seen so far in this thread, I'll be all caught up in the next couple days. Oh and I just found out that my DAD watches this show. <3 |
