Unregistered	I also got it for Christmas and beat the first temple earlier today. So far I like it, especially because it's at least somewhat challenging. I died twice on the first temple's boss, which has never happened to me in a Zelda game before.

Though having to aim the sword perfectly is a challenge, it's a good challenge. Like someone else said, only a few hours into Skyward Sword, I do have to say I enjoyed the story of Twilight Princess better. I remember getting right into the heat of it with the plot of the Twilight Realm, while with SS I know I'm on a mission, but I'm sort of in the dark about what it all means. Apparently SS is the "first" Zelda game, so maybe that's what they were going for.

(although I got the pretty gold one because I really wanted it) Anyway, finished it now. T'was an absolute treat to play from start to finish, and now my Wii's gone back to being a dust magnet (not that it doesn't catch dust even if I am playing it... it's not like I move it around a lot). The controls were absolutely perfect, and spending a few extra bucks on a MotionPlus is just as worth it as the expansion pak for Majora's Mask. It's hard to compare with the other console Zeldas though because, outside of the dungeons, it just plays so differently by eschewing the massive overwolrd for more compact, complex provinces. I do hope the next game goes for a more civilised Hyrule, because it really felt like it could've used another town or two on the surface (even if it was just the Mogmas or Kikwis having a more defined settlement like a Goron city or a Zora's domain) If I was going to rank the console Zelda games that I've played (still needing to play WW and the NES ones at some point), I'd go... Majora's Mask > Skyward Sword > Twilight Princess > OoT >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ALTTP Idk why, but I really, really don't like A Link to the Past - it's just managed to either bore me completely or frustrate me enough to stop playing, and I've tried playing it three times now. It's nothing against 2D Zelda games, I think Link's Awakening, the Oracles and the Minish Cap are all fantastinc, I just really can't get into ALTTP. The ranking order of the 3D games isn't really that important, though, because I'd say all four are still four of the best games ever.
