 I'm honestly curious why many people seem to focus on Strategy as the leading factor in what makes a good game player. It's like, if you don't come in with a solid gamebotty gameplan, you can't be the best survivor ever.

As someone who's played quite a few solid strategic games, as well as social...I don't think those factors on their own make anyone "the best ever".

 IMO players who are able to adapt and change their plans no matter what situation occurs are the best player.
