Now beer is my favourite tasting drink EVER! Some people don't like the taste though, and I know that the girls I know that don't drink it don't because they don't want all of the calories. In terms of hard liquor I rarely mix, because I only drink hard liquor for the effect, not the taste and it's better to get it over with quickly. I do sometimes mix a really strong rum&coke, which is the only mixed drink I drink consistently. If you really hate the taste of alcohol I know a girl who mixes vodka with pineapple juice. She gave me some once and I couldn't taste the vodka AT ALL. I was actually pretty impressed, seeing as she said there was a shitton of alcohol in it. So, yea, try vodka&pineapple juice I guess. The more you drink alcohol the more you get use to the taste.

Not everyone reacts to it the same way, and because of that, if your family has a history of alcoholism, its normally best to just say away as a precaution.

I really enjoy the social aspect, the variety of drinks I can make, just a quick shot, the physical feelings I get from it, etc, etc. That being said, don't start drinking. It's not cute to drink socially, even though a good beer with a football game is amazing. If you're the type of person who does have moderation, there's nothing wrong with drinking provided it's a taste you like, and not just something being done to fit in. I've seen way too many friends start drinking because others were doing it or because it was expected of them, then getting hooked on it and coming to enjoy the taste. It's sad in a lot of ways because it's so acceptable, but it's something that seriously can derail your professional and personal life. Trust me, I know! And it's really not worth the risk if it's something you don't even enjoy.

Beer is good, but it needs to be cold. Warm or even semi-warm beer can be gross to me. Even worse is beer that got warm, and then you refrigerate it and drink it. One time i played beer pong with that kind and I seriously threw up, not cause I couldn't handle the alcohol, but because it seriously tasted so. bad. That being said, Coors Light massive :wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub: Also, Jello Shots are amazing. In my opinion, you can barely taste the alcohol and it's basically like a less sweet version of actual jello. It's not that bad and it you do a lot you get really hammered. Like, after prom my sophomore year i had like 10-13 jello shots and I was more set for the night. But yeah, getting back on topic, my dad used to drink a lot, but that didn't really turn me off to drinking, cause it's not like I casually drink all the time. I'll binge drink like once or twice a month and that's it. Chewing tobacco is the worst thing ever in existence though and that's what my dad primarily does now and that's seriously the last thing I would ever ever do

Alcohol isn't some magic fun juice. If you drink it, you won't automatically turn into this ball of energy and have a great time. It always comes down to the person. The people who do change, do so more because it breaks down the barriers. I think you just need to be yourself, and just have fun without worrying about what everyone else is doing. The people who turn to alcohol FOR something, are the ones who become dependent on it. Yeah I know it won't do that, and I've never done it for that reason. Usually I'm pretty crazy without it, so I've never felt the need. Last night I only drank because I was with some close close close friends, and they lived up the street from me so I knew I could always walk home if any of us got too bad. One of my friends at another school became addicted to alcohol because she had no friends anymore when she went to school, and so she would drink herself to sleep. :wacko: I mean I've literally only had alcohol 3 times, and once was at a Jewish ceremony thing that my friend dragged me to. I never go out and drink. When I go out, I usually don't know my surroundings enough to trust that I would make it back safe. I've only drank when I was in a friends dorm across the street from mine, or last night. Also TS2 what you are saying is what I've always been afraid of. That's why I never had a drink until like 2 months ago for the first time when I've been in high drinking areas. I really think I won't drink anymore, unless it's maybe with friends at a bar and have one drink max. Or at the Oscars someday hopefully. :lol:

I have learned when not to drink, cause for me drinking just amplifies whatever I'm feeling when I'm sober. So if I'm at a party and ready to have fun, then I can drink, and just go dance and not care about looking dumb, it totally takes away all inhibitions and its awesome. But if I'm depressed or angry or mad at my friends or something, and then I start drinking I become the worst angry drunk that any of my friends know. I'm scared to drink when I'm mad now cause I don't wanna be a wife beater or something. Thats why I turned to weed, which has now gotten me charged and tanked my grades last semester. yay me.

But, I don't blame you for not wanting to risk your chances of being caught again by people who have nothing better to do with their time. :rolleyes: Yeah, you could always just drink when you don't have a place to smoke, there's a good solution. Drinking when smoking isn't viable. Oh, I thought it already passed since that thread seemed years ago. :lol: Anyway, good luck with it all!

Take it slow with people you trust in moderation always, but especially until you know what kind of drunk you are. I just end up finding everything funny and getting waaaay too huggy. It was the only challenge I could have even done because the others were all speed challenges, and I found out in that game that not only is my server worse than anyone in the USA but also anyone in Australia or The Philippines. But anyway I agree with the above quote. Drugs are bad mmkay and that includes alcohol. If you want to get high may I suggest the one-night-stand which was always my drug of choice.
