Makcrabs: For a first effort, I thought it was pretty good. As my fellow judges have pointed out, there is a few pitchy moments but this song is deceptively fast and you did a good job. Your voice definetly has potential! I thought you would fall out of time with the song but you kept it up and worked it! I can't wait to see what else you can offer. Wolfy: Now when I saw what you had put, I was going to hate it because seriously, I find that song so damn annoying. But you voice started and it was like syrup being poured onto a hot pancake stack, pure delicious baby! You handled the different keys with ease and you actually made me enjoy that song. I can't wait to see what else you could do because I had one slice of that vocal pie and I want more! Pie-Man: First of all, props to totally going out the box for what everyone normally does. And as a naturally deeper based singer, I admire you. I can totally see what you were going for in the first chorus, but you didn't manage to pull it off, but the further you got on, the more you nailed it. I think you can totally bring something fresh to this show with your unique style. A few little problems but I think you tried to do too much for your first song. You totally have a voice for stage though and thats not a bad thing. Seve: First of all honey, I admire your guts for trying to do an Adele song, but especially for males singers, you have to fight to reach that range and I don't think your voice was suited for the song at all. I do think you have a nice voice. But with the strong showing we have seen this year, you need to step up your game. Your vocal was solid but I didn't feel myself connecting to it except for the final bridge section. As SFGP said, I am sorry but it was a bit forgettable. I think you scuppered yourself with a bad song choice but I hope you have a chance to show us what you can do with a better one. Messie: At the beginning I was thinking this would become some kind of amazing drag queen style sing off. Sadly I was let down by it. The first chorus was something you should have blown it up, but you were just so reserved. If your gonna stick doing that, either take it to one extreme to the other for this song. Do it deep and sinister, slow it down or just wail out that chorus. I wanted to be a fan but sorry, after the very fun and cool start it just all went down hill. Lines: FINALLY! We have a song which isn't sung, but you experienced that song on that stage. An obscure song choice but that only made it better for me. If I heard that on the radio, I would buy that whole damn song. Everything was done beautifully and I think you have set the high standard for the whole show. You could feel the emotion when you sang and that is something a few of these songs have been missing. Keep pulling things out to that standard and you will go far! Aras: Ouch man, when you aim high, you go high don't you? This song is very hard to sing and while I appreciate the effort, I am glad you didn't try to do the big notes. But your voice has potential, for sure. Some parts were touching but did the song cut out a bit early? Its like when you hit your groove it ended. My favourite out of the two Adele choices I have heard tonight though, thats for sure. Rudy: Well Rudy, there is no denying your entertaining. Vocally it was a complete mess but that wasn't the point for that. It was fun and very upbeat and that is always needed in a competiton like this. You give me some Johnny Robinson vibes from my countries X-Factor in your high camp style. Props to singing the entire song so high, your vocal chords must have been hating on you at the end! Pure fun in that song. Blue: Another Adele? Wow, shes sure popular! Your voice was pretty good in some bits, pretty horrible in others. The issue is sound quality, your voice is almost impossible to hear in parts. But I was pleasantly surprised by this. My advice, go for something slower and without the big notes. Thats where your voice tends to crack and ruins what you have built up. The Rumour Has It bits were by far the better section of that mash up. But I honestly couldn't hear most of it. Pupa: A great performance here. Your voice is so easy to listen too and your vocal showmanship is evident. I can imagine you being able to do a lot in this competition and I hope you show what else you can show. Your one of the front runners here by far. Also Blue, seriously, Broadway? Its The Beatles! Over-All Thoughts: This year will be very intense with so many decent singers waiting to do battle. I love how we are getting different styles floating in and I feel like this is the best year this competition has faced! |

Aras (Set Fire to the Rain – Adele): Good job Aras! I’m pleased with this. There was good energy but it was a little tame too, like just inbetween. You had a good feel of the song, but I wanted to see more, especially with that song. Why u no try the high notes at the end? I know, I know, they’re a little crazy for Round 1. Good job nonetheless. You have heart. Do you have the chops? Show me more next round ![]() Linesinaconversation (Apparitions – Matthew Good Band): Very soothing voice and great tone too! You, my man, are one to watch out for, right off the bat! You always hit the right notes. Very good stuff around 2:25, felt like a recording! Don’t be afraid to test out your vibrato even more cause I felt it in there, you just gotta push it out and blow us away, assuming that’s your strategy of course. Awesome job with this! I can just see you getting screaming tween fans already. ![]() wolfrickblackthorne (Invisible – Clay Aiken) : Even though Clay Aiken is even more washed up than his cousin Ryan Aiken, good first pick for Round 1! Lots of energy with your performance. Entertaining, gots tons of personality, and there’s talent there. I personally loved how you recorded this, the sound quality was above average, and it all worked with the back vocals too. Good job with the breakdown at 2:30, you really felt it, hit all the notes, everything. ![]() Rudy (Express Yourself – Madonna) : You sound just ~so~ much like my legendary BFF Alffly! Great inspiration there, Rudster. Like in season 1, you got something that makes you stand out from the rest: your sense of humor. Obviously, you ain’t shy with a song pick like that. Thing is, it actually wasn’t that bad. I feel like if you actually tried to blow us away, you could, even with screechers like at 1:50! (lmao) You’re obviously having fun with this, even though you won’t admit it, cause you’re too ~hhhs~. Time to build your fanbase now. Who can you charm with your infectious personality, and how will you do it? messiebessie (See You Again – Miley Cyrus) : Looks like Fate’s Offspring had another one of these famous fights and are broken up again. You bastards can’t get along, can you? On your first solo effort, you did...okay. I can commend you for your energy and the sound quality of your recording, but it wasn’t all that either, cause you were off-key more than once. Obviously this is Round 1, we all gotta adjust shit, but I feel like you can do even better than that! All that aside, I know I’m still gonna like you cause I feel like you’re gonna blast out the corniest pop songs during the season, and for that, you get my respect. The Purple Parrot (Across The Universe – The Beatles) : First of all, I just heard your version of Cooler Than Me by Mike Posner, and awesome job my friend!! Honestly LURVED it! You’ll do Please Don’t Go during this competition, right? ![]() Now to your beatles song...well, you won me over right from the start, cause there’s that sweetness in your voice, that crystal-clear tone, and that vibrato. You know what you’re doing, and you’re making me think of my finale partner last season. You’re one to watch out for! I hope you’re gonna try out all types of songs this season to really showcase your vocal versatility. ![]() SeveC (Adele – Chasing Pavements) : Starting off this competition with an Adele song is daring so I commend you for that! Good job with this! You did sound a little bored from time to time, but you did feel the vibe of the song, like at 2:17...it’s when you finally got into your bubble and felt comfortable, then let it all out till the end. Work on your confidence cause I know you got that storm in your gut. I honestly want to see more from you cause you’re intriguing so far. ThePieMan (Elton John – Circle of Life) : I totally felt like I was watching the Lion King. On Blu-Ray. In 3D. Without glasses. You are absolutely daring to take on this song for the free choice round! You were sensational. I don’t know if it’s because I like the show-off quality of it all, all the huge notes and the powerful chorus, or just your overall passion, but I’m a fan. You are also one to watch out for. Big time. ![]() makcrabs (Over My Head – The Fray) : Well, at least, you weren’t over your head with this one. It’s a simple enough song, but you brought your pizzazz to it! As you entered the final chorus, I think we saw the best of you. Let me see that throughout the whole competition and you’re gonna kick some butt. Blueberry (Rumour Has It/Someone Like You) [Glee Mash-Up] : One thing jumps out right away: the sound quality! Obviously no one's a recording pro, but I feel like you can figure out a way to make it all sound louder and clearer. It’d be worth it because your voice deserves to be showcased better! I enjoyed Someone Like You better than Rumour Has It, it felt like you had just gotten dumped and were crying in a snowstorm or something! Great passion. Overall, I’m impressed with the talent. I honestly am. Everyone really tried and there weren’t any flukes per se, cause everyone can make something work to their advantage. I feel like there are a few interchangeable people with similar voices/styles, so my advice to everyone, if I may give some: Stand out. Take risks. Pick songs you think people will be intrigued by, will wanna click on, but most importantly, will wanna vote for. It’s not just about the song, it’s about the timing of your picks or how surprising/original they can be. That’s my opinion for now at least. For this first round, I predict the more passionate people will make it through, like, the ones who seem more prepared. The ones whose songs felt like they were read and not sung could be in trouble. |

I'm doing these as I listen to them. Also, I'm going to judge "light" because I'm aware I take this too seriously since singing is what I ~do~. If you want real criticism and tips shoot me a PM. Makcunt "Over My Head" The whole time I kept thinking "yeah you're in over your head". It was so fitting. ![]() All jokes aside, this was really good. Really good. There were some pitch problems, but overall it was nice. A great opening to the show! I was pleasantly surprised. |

Wolf "Invisible" Wow what a nice voice. The track was a bit overpowering. The chorus was too high for you. The verses were a much better suit. You could hear in your voice that you were having fun, so kudos. I'd find songs that suit your range next time and you'll own

I've heard all of them now. Aside from getting over the weirdness of hearing what everyone sounds like, I think most everyone did a good job. Once again I think Wolf and Pie Man were great, and now after listening to Lines, I have to add him to that list as well. Wolf, were the background vocals you as well? I've never actually listened to the original song, so IDK. |

The. Pie. Man. "Circle of Life" Your diction was impeccable, but a bit much for the song and the style. Loosen up you have a lot of potential most def. The chorus was smoother, so work it out in your lower register. song selection is everything so although I like your voice the song wasn't a good fit. Nice falsetto at the end

There were some moments I really liked though. Messiebessie- Lines-My winner's pick. Nuff said. Aras-See Seve, except it was a little worse. Rudy- Blueberry-Better than I expected. But see Wolfric-I fucking hate Glee. NO GLEE. Purple Parrot-It was pretty good! I will vote for Lines, ThePieMan, and Wolfric. |
