Name: Danielle Chirel Codename: N/A Age: 18 Side (Hero/Villain): Neutral (Good) Appearance: Dani measures about 5’11”. She has long blonde hair that falls about halfway down her back. Her characteristic bangs drop neatly over blue-green eyes. Her thin build she counts as a blessing. Personality: Dani is characteristically reserved, gentle and compassionate. She dislikes conflict and always tries to make peace and negotiate, often mediating between others in disagreement. Underlying her natural disposition is an unrelenting drive to succeed at whatever she does. From time to time Dani tries to overcome her natural shyness and be social. While working, she changes almost entirely, losing her hesitation and giving her all to serving others. Power(s) (If Any): None Weakness: Anything that could hurt a normal human. Main Objective: To one day become a successful novelist. History: Danielle Chirel was born the daughter of a newspaper reporter and a teacher living in San Jose. Dani’s mother was always busy writing, researching, and preparing for the next issue, while her father spent a great deal of time planning the next lessons for his science classes. Despite this constant commitment to work, the three members of the family still somehow found the time to have a family meal every night and to go out on adventures periodically. Danielle always did well academically in school. However, she spent much time trying to please her father with good grades and never developed a close circle of friends. She was always the smart girl who people went to for help, but never for any other reason. Dani compensated for this by continuously reading. With books, she could leave the world that gave her little love and go somewhere else that was far more interesting. Dani eventually grew out of this stage when she became involved by chance with her school’s theatre department. By becoming close to the talented actors on campus, she found people she could truly call friends. The confidence that they had awakened in her encouraged her to help out at her church. This in turn led to her gaining more real friends. By the time she graduated High School, she had even been given some important responsibilities. Danielle eventually elected to attend Smith-Benac University in San Francisco. In this new environment, she made a new circle of friends. Living on campus, Dani got to know all sorts of different kinds of girls who happened to be living in Marshall Hall. She quickly became close friends with her hallmate Hanako Hoshimichi. The two were inseparable. Dani and Hanako constantly wrote fiction online, watched anime, and went on late-night adventures together. In Hanako, Dani found the kind of person she hoped her roommate would have been. Her own roommate, Rachel Connors, spent most of her free time going out with her other friends. Dani and Rachel never spent a lot of time together, although Dani did keep up on what she was doing. Hanako’s twin brother, Taro, was much less friendly to Danielle. The two met in Dr. Soravera’s Chemistry class. While she just tried to do her best, Taro saw Dani as a threat to his superiority in the realm of science. Taro’s dislike for her was only further agitated by his sister’s growing bond with Danielle. He is held in check somewhat by the judgment of his friend Citou, also a student in the class. In order to help pay for her education expenses, Dani applied to work as a waitress as a local restaurant by the name of The Lovely Chrysanthemum. The restaurant’s manager, the handsome and mysterious Andrew Glade, the cooking duo Tiffany Aigel and Kisara Darusain, and the young waiter Mark Staecer welcomed her warmly to their staff. Together these five work to feed hungry people five nights a week. However the uncertain future holds a surprise for our heroine. Inevitably, she will be drawn into the upcoming conflict. She will be forced to take sides. Bound within the crystal lattice is her fate. A destiny entwined. The potential of good and evil—bound in the silent, shimmering bloodmarked stone. |

Is it better to be feared? Or respected?
