Hmph. Just added a 60-minute card with promo code 57676 and no extra minutes or service days. Then again I used that code before on the phone I just added the airtime to...so just take that as an indication that this code can only be used once. |

* Ian...did you add the card right to your phone or did you do it over on Tracfones website? * I would not recommend doing it right to the phone, only because I did that a few times in the past and if the promo code isnt any good, most of the time the card will still be added without any bonus minutes, then your screwed out of free minutes!.....atleast if you do it on Tracfones website it will tell you if the code is still good or not and will not add the airtime, and you would have to start over again, which is ok, cause you can try another code. Good Luck to you at College and have a safe trip!.......ahhh, the college years...its been so long for me, I'm starting to forget my college years .....looks like the Turk is getting old boys and girls.

Thx for the thought and yes I did add the airtime from the phone, silly me. Ah well...I'm just trying to keep my Tracfone active and I already have a couple hundred minutes on it now. No urgent reason to need the bonus minutes though they woulda been nice... |

Promo Code 50722 worked for me on 8/16/07...it gave me 60 bonus minutes added to a 60 minute card...so it is still working past the expiration date of 8/13/07!!!

I activated a LG 225 phone today and one of the operators I spoke too told me that 50722 is only supposed to work for people who have added several cards to their phone in the past 30 days. But she didn't say that is was expired or anything, nor for 51283 (though she was able to tell that it was used on my phone). I had added 3 cards after activating, all were 60 minute cards and used 51283 twice and 50722 once and each card added 60 minutes plus 60 bonus minutes. I did this over the website, online. However this phone comes with double minutes for life and the regular minutes didn't seem to double. Since each promo code also doubled the 60 minutes I could NOT tell if the double minutes were not working or the codes themselves were not working (I'm new to Tracfone and these were the first cards I've added, so am not sure what to expect). I called in and was passed up the tech support totem pole, though they did credit me with 120 minutes and said that my case was passed up even higher and I would need to wait 48 hours for a resolution. But the phone did not show up in their system with double minutes active and they thought that could be an issue. However I'm thinking that the double minutes on the LG 225 may be treated as a promo rather than like the double minutes card and may superceed other promo codes. That would be a REAL bummer if you can't use any other promo code on the LG 225 due to the double minutes. I'll certainly post more on this as I find out more, but would be delighted to hear if anyone else knows more. EDIT- Aug 17 9am: Used the 58287 code with a 60 minute card and it is still working - it gave me an extra 60 minutes. I may be wrong about the double minutes on the LG 225 being promo minutes (as I stated above) after reading the manual and talking with the operator today (they had to manually double my minutes). Both seem to indicate that the doubling of the minutes should happen exactly like it would if the double minute card was added to the phone. We'll see as I still have to get an official response from them about that. |

Yeah, what should happen is all your "base minutes" should double, e.g. if you have a 60-minute card and you add a 60-minute promo code you get 60 x2 + 60 = 180 minutes. So your phone is obviously incorrectly programmed and Tracfone needs to fix that for you. I just really hope that the problem isn't widespread. |

Hi StessLess, welcome to this forum...good luck to you with becoming an official Trac-ite!
...lol.* Promo Codes should also work with a Double Minutes for Life Card as Ian stated before me. * I was informed by email from Tracfone, that promo code 50722 doesnt work with a Double Minutes for Life Card or 1 Year Cards...*(I have it stated at the bottom of the pinned topic: Tracfone Promotion Codes under "More Information"). * Maybe thats why you werent getting the extra 60 minutes added with this code? * Promo Code 51283 is a one time use per phone code...*(also under "More Information") * I dont know what happened, but I have to agree with Ian before me saying you phone might of been programmed wrong from the beginning with the Double Minutes for Life Card.....Im glad they gave you some minutes to your phone when you called them up...hopefully Tracfone CS gets it worked out for you. * Tracfone CS says Promo Code 50722 is suppose to only work for people adding several cards in the last 30 days !?...that is a pile of monkey crap!(lol).....I added that code to many of my relatives phones and my phones as well that I havent added a card to all these phones in months!.....Dont listen to them, listen to me, the Super Genius (with a tested IQ of 166...Wooooooooo!)(lol) * Promo Codes "expiration dates" arent set in stone, they are "rumored dates"....some codes might end on those dates, but most will work past those dates. *(also under "More Information").....I think they give us these "expiration dates" just to scare people into buying a airtime card sooner than later. <_< * Hope we were a help to you and let us know how it turns out with your new phone. EDIT: What Ian says on the next post after this one is correct, thanks.....Turk
