Well, to cut through a little legalese, the "not valid with double minute\1-year card" verbiage simply means that if you buy that particular card you can't add that promo code. IOW it's only valid for the 60, 120, 200, 250 and 400 minute cards. But the promo codes will work with the double minute promo applied to the phone... |

My LG CG225 finally does double minutes like it should! Only took them 5 days to handle it. The double minutes show as promo minutes on the text messages they send me when I add a card to my phone. I tried using promo code 55698 but it did not work and the Tracfone operator told me that it expired March 1st so it seems not to work anymore (though the 800 line accepted the code when I entered the airtime pin number). I also used 51283 with another phone a day ago so it is still active. I can't complain though, I have 820 minutes and more than a year of service on my phone from adding only 5x 60 minute cards that I paid $10 each for using that 2x 60 min cards + C139 promo from the Tracfone website (w/ free shipping) and the promo codes I found here. This works out to $0.06 a minute!! I like the LG CG225 too. I was able to send my phone my favorite ringtones thru email. And except for a few minor quirks the phone works well and the ringer is VERY loud on this phone!! I'm real happy I switch to Tracfone overall, and this is BY-FAR the best list of promo codes I found anywhere on the web, and it's nice there are useful forums here too! Thanks!

Promo code 55698 didn't add any minutes and later the Tracfone operator refused to honor it either due to it being expired since Mar 1st. I had used the 800 number to add the airtime card and entered several promo codes till it finally accepted 55698 as valid, but did not get any bonus minutes from it. I did get 20 bonus minutes from signing up my email address though, and that was added when I used this airtime card. I'm real happy I can help with this list, thanks for maintaining it! PS- this time I called into their support center right at 8AM EDT and got right thru to an operator with NO waiting at all! I usually wait 15 mnutes to an hour or so on-hold when I call in later in the day. |

Hey guys, question for the board. Can you add the promo codes in directly on your phone when you add a new airtime card, and if it can be done, how? I was adding airtime on my c139 the other night (with no problem), and my GF asked if I could've entered in a promo code as well. I've only entered normal airtime in the past, so any help would be greatly appreciated. |

AKmaro1...yes you can add airtime right to your phone...I will explain it step by step....but first, why would you add an airtime card and not use a promo code? * Adding airtime and promo code at same time to a Tracfone: 1. Go to your prepaid menu on your phone and click "ok". 2. Scroll up or down til you come to the "Add airtime" and click "ok". 3. Add the 15 digit pin number on the back of your airtme card, followed by the promo code right after it. (so in other words, you added a 20 digit pin number all in all), then click "ok" 4. Wait a few seconds for a beep, then the screen should tell you if it was successful or not (hold your breath and hope it works!)(lol) 5. Beware!...sometimes the promo code wont work and the airtime card code will, and your phone will just add the card minutes...its better to add Airtime Cards on Tracfones website, cause if the promo code doesnt work, you can start over again with another promo code. *If you ever use a promo code, please let us know under the "Pinned Topic: Tracfone Promotion Codes" if it worked or not so I can keep track of it, ok, Thanks! I didn't add on a promo code because I was only using a 30 minute card this last time, and Tracfone normally only gives promo codes for the higher minute cards it seems, also I was feeling too cheap to spring for the 60 minute version the other week. :lol: BTW, thanks for all the help with the promo code question, it's greatly appreciated! Also, I'll remember the website hint when trying to add on promo codes I'm unsure about. Thanks again. |
