Member Posts: 16 Group: Members Member #312 Joined: December 18, 2008	Not sure how many of you all are doing this, but I have been filling out an entry daily for myself and my wife and daughter since Oct/Nov of last year. Still haven't been drawn yet. But that's not why I'm commenting. Today, 6/10/09, the sweepstakes page has changed and the entry form has changed format. Note #1: It appears that the survey has to be filled out in its entirety each and every time you enter for the drawing. And this survey is huge compared to the original one that only needed to be filled out once and then ignored on subsequent entries. If I log in tomorrow and it won't accept an entry without the survey being filled out then I am done with it. The cost/benefit for me will be too high. Note #2: The new survey doesn't render correctly in Firefox (my default browser). The survey hung with 44% more questions to be answered. As soon as I switched to IE, I got to re-answer those questions and complete the survey. Anyway, I just wanted to give you guys a heads up. Let me know if you are experiencing the same "issues" or if maybe I just caught the site while it was in some sort of transition. Like I said, I will be logging in tomorrow anyway to check for myself. And of course I will be watching for any updates to this thread. Thanks guys!

TURKAMANIA Posts: 1,216 Group: Members Elite Member #3 Joined: June 4, 2007	* horao ... you are correct ... the Entry Form has changed ... and now they ask more questions I see. * I was filling out the Old Form about 3-4 times a month (once at the beginning - in the middle - and at the end of the month). * The Old Form was fast and simple - only took like 30 seconds to fill out ... the New Form takes a couple of minutes now. * So far I haven't won - or even know of anyone across the internet of winning anything? * I have both FireFox and Safari Browsers on my Mac, and I haven't has any problems with the Entry Form. * I don't care for the New Entry Form either ... I'll probably start only filling it out once, maybe twice a month now. * Anyways, thanks for the New Info .. TurkFone Sweepstakes

Bad news: At the time of this writing you still must fill out the survey completely and without error (i.e. skipping an item) before your sweepstakes entry will be accepted. To me, this is ridiculous. Once registered most of these answers don't change. If I "Prefer Not to Answer" what my household income was the first time I responded, what makes them think that I will this time, or next time, or the time after that? Perhaps your age range could change due to the time it takes to answer all of the survey questions ... ;-) In the "good old days" of this sweepstakes you could enter your email (x2), name, zip code, then click the box confirming that you are at least 13 years old and then send. Now you still enter all of the info as before plus add your phone # and then the survey starts. 16 questions with no fewer than 69 mouse clicks in order to successfully enter the sweepstakes (yes, I counted). I have no idea how collecting this redundant data can be statistically useful to anyone. Worse for them, if they are relying on it and most people start answering untruthfully just to get through it quickly. Not good news: The survey hang mentioned previously wasn't a Firefox browser problem (good), it was that if you accidentally miss or try and skip a "click" the survey will warn you that you must answer all of the questions and then the survey hangs up, forcing you to start all over with a blank page (not good). Well, for those readers who haven't entered the sweepstakes yet, I say go for it - you can't win if you don't play. However let this be fair warning for those of you who want to enter more than once. Thanks for letting me rant. And look, I wrote this in less time than it would have taken me to fill out another entry, lol. Edited by horao, Jun 11 2009, 12:58 PM.

Member Posts: 16 Group: Members Member #312 Joined: December 18, 2008	OK guys and gals, It looks as if they have fixed the page so that you can ignore the survey again, hooray! On a lark I tried this afternoon and it went through. I'm not sure how long the change has been in effect. Curiosity: After I submitted the entry for my wife's account I hit the back button on my browser (Firefox) and entered the info for my daughter. However when I hit the "ENTER TO WIN" button I got a "Already Registered" warning. It appears that it is a cookie thing because when I closed and re-opened the browser (I have my security settings set to erase my cookies when I shut down the browser) it entered fine. I followed the same steps to enter the info for myself and it went through fine as well. Good luck everyone! And as Turk said back in December, if any of y'all win, let us all know.
