Ever since the Olympics, BiltEquine has since had our eyes open up to things about our horses we weren't fully aware of. We are currently testing each and every horse and seeing what they enjoy and what they seem to be good at. A perfect example, Neon Blue Eyes used to be an outstanding performer in Halter & Western events.. Since she had Blue Eyed Cowboy she isn't doing very well in either Halter or Western. Some of our Jumpers are no longer doing well and some of our Western horses are no longer doing well in Western. We are a little bit confused as to what is going on so we are taking a few months off from showing and sitting back, watching our horses in pasture, stalls and re-evaluating them. I guess we were so busy with the shows and such, we all lost touch with ourselves and our horses. We will probably wait until the fall to start showing again... we might not. We also might be offering some of our horses for sale. Will keep you all updated. Our farm has also been repainting everything, fences, barn.. etc. We have been busy harvesting our hay crops and looking after our newest rescued addition.. (whom is turning out to be quite the character!!). -- I am also in RL swamped with work. I am not sure if I told anyone or not but I got a job at Scholastic Canada in the Packing/Picking department in the Warehouse and I work 8:00am-4:30pm for now but summer hours end on Friday and we go back to 8:00am-3:30pm regular hours. It's a really busy time of year due to school going back and such, we deal with mainly all childrens books so we have constant rush orders and I am usually very tired by the time I get home. I should be able to catch up on farm work this weekend (long weekend!) and perhaps post horses for sale on Monday. I am un-decided yet!! |
