Sharpay arrived back at her mansion still sobbing. Her parents had found out what had happened at Prom and immediately drove down there to pick up Sharpay and Ryan. Once they saw Sharpay sobbing on the ground near Jessica, they helped her up and brought their daughter to the limo along with Ryan. Their parents tried to sooth Sharpay since Ryan wasn't nearly as bad as she was. Of course they comforted their son as well. Once they arrived, Sharpay was able to move on her own. Her tears had subdued but still flowed down her cheeks. She reached the living room and collapsed onto the couch as her brother and parents went to the kitchen. Ryan came back with a hot chocolate and handed it to his sister. Sharpay took a small sip before saying thank you to Ryan and placing the hot drink on the coffee table. She closed her eyes and leaned her head on the back of the couch as Ryan left the room. Taking deep breaths, Sharpay tried to calm herself some more. t worked a bit but not entirely. |

Marissa had been picked up from Prom by her limo driver. Since her parents weren't around, she only had one person to call. Marissa hadn't spoken a word since what happened at Prom. The image of Jake's dead body after the chandelier violently smashed him over the head was praying on her mind. Marissa's limo pulled up right outside the Evans' Mansion. They were practically her family. And Marissa didn't want to be alone, especially not tonight. Marissa's limo driver walked with her upto the mansion walking a couple of steps behind her. "Thanks" she said simply, turning around to her limo driver before he slowly began walking away back to the limo. Marissa took a breath, wiping her cheeks where her tears had already dried. She walked into through the front door. Imediately being greeted by Sharpay's parents, and briefly speaking to Ryan and giving him a hug. Ryan had told her where Sharpay was at the moment. Marissa nodded, and began walking through the seemingly large house and entered the living room. Marissa stood up straight looking down at Sharpay, "hey," she said quietly, her voice cracking slightly. "are you doing okay?" she asked curiously. Everyone had just gone through a traumatic experience, and wanted to comfort her best friend. |

Sharpay finally got her tears to stop flowing. She had no doubt that they would eventually come back later on tonight. Most likely before she went to bed. She made a mental note to let Ryan know she was going to be sleeping in his room tonight. there was no way she was staying alone in her large bedroom tonight. She would be too scared to sleep alone. After all the guy did say that it would soon be happening to all of them. It just freaked her out even more. The door opened but Sharpay paid no attention to it. Then she heard the voice of her best friend talking with her parents and Ryan. Marissa was at Prom as well. She witnessed the death just like everyone else did. It was frightening and not something anyone would ever expect in this small town let alone at a Prom. It was definitely not in any way normal. Nothing seemed to be normal anymore. She opened her eyes once more as she heard Marissa talking to her. All she could really do was nod her head. She didn't know what her voice would sound like after the screaming and waterfall of tears that came from her eyes. She took a sip of her hot chocolate. "Who would do this?" She asked randomly, her voice hoarse. "Why would someone want to ruin a prom let alone kill someone at one." Sharpay's voice did not sound like it belonged to her. It was hoarse from the yelling and crying. She felt like next time she tried to talk nothing would come out. |

"Who would do this?" Marissa folded her arms over chest, and then taking a seat next to her friend on the couch. She could tell Sharpay was torn about what happened, just like she was, "I really dont know what kind of person would have done this," she said, trying not to look Sharpay straight in the eyes. Marissa never really cried much. This certainly felt strange to her. She just wanted to be told the past two hours were some kind of nightmare and it didn't actually happen. But unfortunately, that wasn't going to happen. Marissa really didn't want to go home tonight, she would be too scared to sleep in a large mansion all by herself. Marissa's eyes flooded with tears. Even being in a house with other people, she still felt fear washing all over her. She turned to look at Sharpay, tears now officially streaming down her face, "I'm so scared" she said suddenly, biting her bottom lip to refrain herself from making a loud sound from her sobbing. |

Sharpay knew Marissa rarely cried just as she rarely cried herself. But even the toughest people in the world would be crying right now if they just witnessed someone be murdered. No one was safe and she knew it. Just being in the Mansion made her feel even less safe than in a normal sized house. Who knew who would be inside. There were so many rooms in the house and most of them were really large and had plenty of places to hide. Sharpay knew she was definitely not going in her basement or attic for anything. They were large, creepy, filled with spiders, and someone could easily be hiding there. I'm so scared. She nodded in agreement. "Me too," she said in a low whisper that it was barely audible. Sharpay was not as brave as she let people believe. But she also never thought anything like this would happen. She just willed this to all be a horrible nightmare but knew that was just going to be a waste of time thinking it was when everyone knew it was completely real. "I don't know what to do," She whispered. "We aren't safe and I feel way less safe here even if there are body guards and a bunch of other traps to stop intruders from getting in," she explained. Sharpay tried to think of people that they could all stay with to be even more safe. The larger the group, the safer they would all probably be. There had to be some way to defeat the person who was doing this and there had to be a way to escape even if he said there wasn't. |

Marissa could feel the cold tears dropping down her face, she quickly wiped them away and forced a smile, to prevent herself from falling apart. She did have good friends to help her right now, and two of those friends were definitely Sharpay and Ryan. "I don't know what to do," Marissa nodded in agreement, "I just feel like this isn't even happening," she whispered, she felt like she needed to be quiet right now, "I feel so helpless," she said, staring into space. Marissa leaned forward, and began ranning her hands through hair, "I dread to think what Jake's family must be going through right now," she said, a bit louder than before. She raised her head back up, and looked at Sharpay, some sticky tears still on her cheeks. "the police wouldn't even let Jessica go home because her parents don't live here," she sad sympatheticly. She couldn't be mean about anyone right now, not even Jessica Miles, "I'm so glad my limo driver came for me," she added Marissa bit her bottom lip again, and quickly began to form her next words, "is it okay if I stay here tonight?" she asked, trying not to tear up like before, "I would feel safer if I was here with you and Ryan" she added. It was better to stay in a group in a situation like this. And Marissa didnt really want to die anytime soon. |

Sharpay didn't even want to imagine how Jake's family must be like right now. It would probably make her feel even worse. Now she definitely regretted being mean to Jake even if he did deserve her to be mean to him. He did after all stalk her and call her a bitch. none of that mattered now though. Jake was dead and she felt horrible and guilty about it. She had heard about Jessica not being able to go home. She felt bad for the girl. They used to be best friends. "Maybe she should come here to stay. Even with everything going on, I'd rather not stay at a police station. That would be worse than a mansion," she said softly. Sharpay got off the chair and went into the kitchen and told her parents to pick Jessica up from the station. No one should be stuck there in a time like this. Especially if all the police officers were going to be at the crime scene. It wouldn't be a good idea to be stuck there alone. Once she came back in, she noticed that Marissa also still had tears, new and old, on her face. Sharpay wiped hers away once more before sitting down back on the comfy white sofa. She took another sip of her hot drink carefully so she wouldn't spill it on the white. She nodded to Jessica. "Of course," she replied. "You are always welcome here, you know that. I'm also having my mom have the limo pick Jessica up at the station so she isn't there alone. Most of the police are going to be at the Royal Garden so she won't be safe there," she explained. |

"Maybe she should come here to stay" Marissa was slightly surprised Sharpay would ever agree to that. Although, Sharpay wasnt as bad as people thought. She really did have a good heart, even when it came to helping out the people she hadn't exactly gotten along with. Marissa watched Sharpay as she left the room. For the few moments Sharpay was out of the room. Marissa felt quite scared at the fact she was alone, even if it was just for a few seconds. She heard a slight noise outside, not wanting to go see what it was. She just waited anxiously for Sharpay to return. She sighed in relief as Sharpay entered the room, tears still making their way down her face. She couldn't help but wonder why Sharpay had left the room so suddenly. "You are always welcome here, you know that." Marissa felt relief wash all over her, and smiled sweetly at Sharpay. She knew Sharpay would be there for her when she needed her, just like she would be there for her. "I'm also having my mom have the limo pick Jessica up at the station so she isn't there alone" Marissa nodded, once again wiping tears off her cheeks, "That's good. No-one should be alone tonight," she explained, leaning back on the large white sofa, "So how's Ryan doing? Was he okay when your parents picked you guys up from the Royal Gardens?" she asked curiously. She hoped Ryan was okay. He was no-where to be seen at the moment. |
