I know what happened. If you look really closely, you can see that as soon as the screen zooms into the triangle, the thick black border of the triangle's hypotenuse moves upward slightly, thus making the overall area of the triangle slightly bigger. Then, when they are rearanging the shape of the triangle, this is what's actually happening: The red triangle and the blue triangle starts off INSIDE the black border of the big triangle, but after they rearrange it, two sides of each triangle are actually overlapping with the black border, thus creating more empty space inside the triangle. When both of these things are added together, it gives the triangle just enough empty space to create an empty square within the triangle. |
