It’s takes a lot to go into a promotion and work your way up and take matters into your own hands but sometimes you have to do whatever it takes to get it done. That’s coming from someone who has spent ten years going through promotion after promotion. Ten years, where you can look over and see one superstar that has done more than most can accomplish. Some might remember back when he started wrestling in Japan for TAMW, many know him now as the World champion of Extreme Pro Wrestling. But sometimes it’s good to start fresh at a freshly new promotion, so that way there is still one last thing to do. Each promotion always has that one wrestler that will always be known when they say its name. One thing that I have never been able to do was start in a new promotion and take it over and that’s where I finally came along and found Impact Pro Wrestling. Most of the time I look at the new places and I care to bother even looking their way but there was something about IPW that looked like I would fit right along in. Now it’s just time to finally get in the ring and start to let people know what I am here for. Scene Begins. The sun is out bright Wednesday afternoon as we pull into Atlantic City, New Jersey, waiting until Monday night to arrive for the first episode of Ignition to air. In the front of the building are a set of security guards watching the doors making sure the only ones who come in are the staff and roster members. They wipe off sweet as the sun beams on them. Not too many cars are in the parking lot as they sit bored at work. From the other end of the parking, we can see a figure moving closer to our destination. We can’t tell who it is from far away as the figure moves closer wearing a black trench coat, a pair of jeans, and a pair of black steel toe boots. The security guards make movement so they can allow intruders to know that they are not welcome. Finally the shadow comes closer and we someone that kind of looks familiar. As he walks up, the security guards approach him. [SG1] Sir, do you have an IPW badge. [Male] Yes, one second as I look in my bag. We watch as security guards get themselves prepared as the man that is covered in black and white paint puts down his duffel bag and reach around it, looking for his badge that was given to him. Finally, he grabs it out, closes up the bag and then looks around at the security guards. The second guard grabs it from him. [SG2] Xtreme Demon! [SG1] Oh that’s the EPW star. [SG2] That’s right, their little CHUMP! [XD] You mean Champ. [SG1] Oh we know what we mean. Welcome to Impact Pro Wrestling, where real stars are born and actual talent is raised. Your little popularity for EPW doesn’t cut it as you enter the real ring now. Let’s see what you are capable of pulling off here. [XD] I will pull more than rabbits out of my hat. [SG1] Well, we will see this Monday when you step in the ring for some tag team action. The new IPW superstar looks at the guards with confusion. [XD] What do you mean tag team action? [SG2] You haven’t heard? You will be tagging up with Rhett Dillgas. [SG1] And you will be facing Jake Storms and Ross Goddfred. [XD] Well if that’s what my debut match is going to be then fine, I will make sure that I am not going to let a tag team match making my debut to the IPW ruin anything. I will fight until even the both of you will realize that I am no chump. You think you guys are funny little characters, but watch when the dark side sweeps over IPW before anybody can capture it. I understand that respect is to be earned but believe me when I say that I am going to earn it and make my way through the veins of a new promotion and when I am finished doing what I go to do, then we will see who the chump is. Both the guards laugh as Xtreme Demon walks past them, ignoring them so he won’t get himself in trouble for doing anything wrong. As he enters the arena, he gets a nice fresh sent of spring febreze as the staff members are getting ready for the big first event. The duffle bag hangs low on his side as he starts to make his way in the new halls if IPW. People stare as he stares back, letting everyone know that nothing is going to make him stop. As he passes a wall in the hall, he realizes that the Ignition card is posted for everyone to see and he takes a look at what’s in store besides his match. That’s when the upcoming rookie for IPW sees that there is a Quest for the Gold tournament for the IPW championship. Anger builds up in his eyes as his fist goes into the side of wall and he let’s the pain bruise between his knuckles. He passes on as he makes his way down the hall once again. [XD] I don’t understand this. His anger continues to grow as it mixes with confusion. [XD] Why wasn’t I chosen to be in this tournament with my experience. After walking down the hall for awhile he finally comes to his locker room and opens it up. [XD] For I am not even one to tag team with someone. The lights turn on bright as he walks into the locker room. This one is nothing special with a T.V on a stand in the corner and a little kitchen and bath room for his personal needs. He slams the door behind him as the noise echoes and puts his duffle bag on the floor. Even for sitting, there is only two fold up chairs and a little table. Demon passes everything up and makes his way to the kitchen and washes his hands. [XD] I guess staff didn’t seem to see that I shouldn’t have started off in the tournament. Redness brightens from his knuckles. [XD] But that’s fine, I will start off and take everyone out of my path. Demon brushes his hair out of his face. [XD] My debut match is set to be a tag team match and I don’t work well with partners but I will work with it so I can make the staff have no stress on their hands. I will tag up with Rhett Dilligas and work him the best I can so I can still come out on top of my match but I will not be going into the tag division. I have been through to much to know that I am better off on my own and will not walk into anything that can hold me back from making it to the top. The debut match is what opens your character up and lets everyone know more about you and what you have to offer and I don’t care much about what the fans think but I will go out and try to capture the staffs eye so they can see what I am working for. I like to fight fair but get what I want at the same time. What I want is blood to fill my hunger. Blood from the ones that are chosen to be my pray. Rhett isn’t even in my category of what our futures will turn out but he is lucky to be the partner, not the enemy, for he has done no wrong and I will let him be in peace as long as he behaves. The only ones who have to worry are the ones who have chosen to be my pray, Jake Storms and Ross Goddfred. IPW has chosen these two men to be the first for me to feed on. They will be the ones to start my path and feed me as I please. I shall not let tag action interfere with my future so I will let both men get the best of me and let’s see if they can even handle myself. I play fair and make sure that I seize every open opportunity I get this Monday I will start by bashing not one, but two superstars to begin to send my message to everyone. I wasn’t put in the tournament so that means I got to work twice as hard to make it to the top but trust me, that is not going to stop me one bit. Believe me, its much more fun for me to actually take my time and go through everyone one by one. Well, two by two this week. Id rather earns my way to the title than to just be given a spot to work in it. The staff was actually better off keeping me out because that way, everyone can watch as I viciously tear up this place and bring them the ratings that they want. He focuses on his thoughts and he continues. [XD] It’s time to let a new place receive my message… Demon walks around the counter as seriousness grows in his face. [XD] But first I must send a warning. The chair unfolds as Demon works with it and he takes a seat. [XD] And that warning will start on Monday when I enter the ring at Ignition. Monday will be the day that I start to build my respect and start to gain my trust to IPW. I will start with a tag match but soon enough, I will make my way one on one and that’s when everyone will see what I am capable of doing. Soon, everyone will realize that you can’t control something that can’t control itself. Soon, the whole world will see as a Demon is let loose to gain anything he can and earn everything there is possible. He begins to laugh to himself as the scene ends. |

- Present Day, Unknown Location. Ross stands in the middle of what appears to be a ring. A single spot light beams down on him illuminating him and nothing else. Ross stands in a white muscle shirt, a pair of black cargo pants, with his wrestling boots on. “Not a lot left to lose for a lot of people these days. With the economy being the way it is society has fallen down a bit in quality of person. This results in more tickets sales, why more ticket sales you ask? Well when people are down they look for entertainers to pull them up make them forget about there meaningful lives and get them involved into a story of competition, a story of pride, and mostly a story of success. Even people who can’t afford gas on a daily basis will save up money to afford something that will take their mind off of the life they lead. For the last few decades Pro-Wrestling has been that way out for millions of fans around the world. As the clock ticks on in time fans flock to events and tune in weekly just to see what is going on in this world of acting and skill. The surreal talent it really takes to be a top dog in a federation today is second to almost none. Football you don’t have to have character you just have to play the same is with almost every other sport out there. But in wrestling well you have to be the character you have to live the character. You control every aspect of what emotion those fans feel and if you do it right you get more than the proper amount of tension and attention needed to get to the top. Hundreds and thousands of people around the world try to make it in this sport, this soap opera if you will and most of them fail. The breeding grounds for wrestling aren’t set in stone even the kids bouncing on a trampoline have a shot at the grand stage, a televised wrestling promotion. Many set their eyes on it but not many get to it. This is not because of lack of in ring abilities, but the lack of charisma when you are in the ring. The first time I was in a wrestling ring on a live television event I took it in, I let my mind know that I was in front of thousands if not millions of fans all over the United States and even parts of Canada and Mexico. I took my debut match that night I took my win and from then on I knew what I was going to do. I knew I would be in the ring shining like a star in the sky. This isn’t the first time I’ve been in a tag team match. Back when I was in RCW I held the Tag Team titles for a full year and a half with my former business partner Allen Hunter. We took home gold in my first Tag Team bout. Now I’m told I am being thrown in the ring once again but this time with a man I have never met, and two opponents one each I have never heard of. I hear these two can work well in the ring by themselves. I hope you don’t think that will matter when you take on me.” Ross pops his knuckles looks down into the camera and grins. “You see there are these moments in your career when you face a moment a place in time that will define who you are in this company a moment that takes a toll on you like nothing else. The debut match is this time. The fans react to this moment if you come into a company and make and impact to show the fans you mean business that you’re here to be their champion, there hero, there entertainer. The fans are the importance in the match when you first get to that ring. The fans show the future. No matter who tells you what they think they know about this thing we call wrestling I’m telling you without the cheering or booing of fans no wrestler would be driven to win. I push myself to my limits and then a shove myself through them. I have been in enough fights to know that the match doesn’t end until one man stands in the ring. Until that one man stands the match will always continue. This Xtreme Demon revealed his weakness in this match already. I tend to study my opponent, or opponents in this matter, and I watched his little promo that he so arrogantly filmed. See this Xtreme Demon claims he will destroy everyone in his path and that I will be part of his “feeding frenzy” that he has declared. Well maybe not a frenzy after all how can you call it that when you have to be able to beat the person your fighting before you can be declared the winner, or before you can declare your “feeding” off of him.” “Well Xtreme Demon I have something to let you in on, your pain is my pleasure and your suffering will give me what I need to keep going to strive for 100% domination in this bout. I don’t think you see the error of your ways. You tell us that you aren’t tag team material and that you more or less don’t work well with others. Xtreme Demon that is your weakness that is going to be the fall of you. The simple fact you believe that you can simply walk into a match against two people and not be able to work with your partner against these two trained professionals. This match might as well be ours in the bag. This partner of yours well I haven’t seen him around and frankly I hope he keeps down. I don’t like having to knock people down a notch when they can’t defend themselves any way. I figure this, Jake Storm has a partner in this match. I know how that ring works from the turnbuckle to the mat. I know the weaknesses of anyone who step in front of me. I have won countless matches in Boxing, Kick Boxing, MMA, and now Professional Wrestling. This company will be put on the map because of people like me taking it to the top. This place is the next breeding ground for greatness and the top only has so much room. You spoke of working your way to the top Demon and I’m going to have to tell you I’m sorry because your not going to make it as long as you have to go through me. The road never ends in reality there is always someone better pushing you.” “Never will anyone be on top and not be pushed down at least once. Never will a champion hold a title and not be challenged for it. No matter the amount of bodies you defeat you will always find they get back up to challenge you. Yet with everyday that passes everyone on the roster take off toward the ultimate goal, the number one title in the company. In this case the IPW Championship. Not a soul in the locker room can honestly say I don’t ever want a shot at that title. I know this, I have felt the pride over whelm you when that strap is put in your arms, the sweet, blood, and tears that go into it drive you further up the ladder. The first time you hold that gold high in the air you know your on top of your promotion you have proven yourself to be the best in the company. I held that right ten times in RCW, in the coarse of three years when I left that title was renamed because of me. I held that gold for more than my weight in time and in the future I do intend on doing that again here in the IPW. Just not right now. But with the only way to get to the top being to go through who ever steps in your ring I’m forced to pin or submit a list of wrestling talent here in IPW.” Ross grins again this time with confidence. “Xtreme Demon you believe what you will about how easy you believe this match will be and I’ll let you know it won’t be, I’ll let you know by knocking you back down to the level you should be on, I figure that would be a small child of about ten or eleven. It is proven that if your head is damaged to much it can actually break your mind down and make you believe that you have digressed in age. I enjoy knowing that every time I get in this ring I have the legal opportunity to put a man down and keep him there. For some reason they cheer and chant when I do this so I tend to do it as much as I feel necessary. The words that came out of Xtreme Demon’s mouth when he said: “Well if that’s what my debut match is going to be then fine, I will make sure that I am not going to let a tag team match making my debut to the IPW ruin anything.” Ross quotes with sarcasm in his voice. “Nothing matters to me but winning I have nothing to lose but a match. This is my life I live for winning, I live for pride, I live for the right to call myself an elite in the ring. This is not a game to me this is my life. Entertainment is what I live for to drive those thousands of fans to the edge of their seats and get their blood pumping. I like being the escape they find, the hero, the entertainer. I want to prove myself to my fans here in this new promotion. I suppose showing the locker room what I can do will help a bit to. I don’t like to just walk into a company and hope that people realize who they will be fighting a man who can take their limits and shatter them.” “I can do this because I have one key saying, my creed, my motto. I have lived all my life my this little saying and I hope I can push this saying into the minds of all of my fans, Never give up, NEVER! And with that I’m going to let this promo end I’m going to let all of you Ross fans out there off get some rest and tune into Ignition, don’t miss it.” Ross smiles as the spot light shuts off the sounds of Ross’ footsteps echo into a fade as the scene goes to black. EDIT: Rules are rules Ross. Be free to put the link in your sig, you have a nice site, but, especially when it comes to looking at rps to determine a winner, we don't want to have to search through your entire archive. |

I've made many mistakes in my life. I've told myself that if I ever got the chance to do things again, if I ever got the chance to start over, that I'd do it right. Finally, that chance has rolled in. I will not let this one pass me by. I will not live with more regret. I WILL NOT FAIL! Narration: "It's been 6 weeks since I got out of Jail. SIX long frustrating weeks. I applied to over two dozen Wrestling Federations. I heard back from 6 of them. TWO gave me a workout. One of those said that though I possessed all the physical qualities and talent that they were looking for, they were trying to clean up their image and were unable to hire somebody freshly out of Prison. Do you believe that crock of shit? So now it all comes down to one. One Wrestling Federation who has seen what I can do. One Wrestling Federation who watched me work out, said they'd been in touch, and then left me hanging for a couple days. The IPW holds my hopes, my dreams, and my future as well as the future of my family in the palm of their hands. I've been trying to get my life back together, but right now it feels like I'm being stuck in limbo. One phone call WILL change that, for better or for worse." (As the Narration plays, the scene slowly opens up on a bedroom. In one corner of a bedroom sits a cradle, inside of which a small baby boy is fast asleep. Early morning Sun shines in from the window and the rays lay across a small bed where a Man and a woman lie, still asleep. The man lies on his back with the woman's head on his chest and his arm around her. Suddenly, the phone next to the night stand begins ringing. The man Stirs, wipes the sleep from his eyes, and reaches over for the phone.) Jake: "Yeah?" (He pauses as the voice on the other line speaks. Kara stirs awake next to him and rolls over to her side of the bed and sits up a bit, clenching the sheets to her chest.) Jake: "Uh, yeah, this is Jake Storm. Who's this?" "Oh, I've been waiting to hear from you guys." (Again, Jake listens intently as this guy goes on and on, on the other end of the line.) Jake: "Uh-huh....Uh-huh....Yeah, I understand." (Jake looks a little downtrodden as Kara recognizes this and looks a little concerned, putting her hand on Jake's chest for comfort.) Jake: "I see, Well thank you for your time." (Jake hangs up the phone and stares strait ahead. Kara's seen this plenty of times, as the rejections have just kept coming and coming.) Jake: "That was Impact Pro Wrestling....They finally got back to me about my tryout." Kara: "And?" (Again, Jake looks disappointed as he hangs his head down. But suddenly a smile crosses his face. ) Jake: "I'm in!" Kara: "WHAT?" Jake: "I'm in, they signed me to a contract. Their first show is next Tuesday, and I've got a match on it! (Suddenly Kara throws her arms around him as the covers slip down revealing her bare back as she hugs Jake. They exchange a long passionate kiss as Jake pulls Kara onto his lap, facing him. The covers slip even more to reveal down to Kara's lower back as Kara presses against Jake in an embrace.) Kara: "This is definitely call for celebration." Jake: "Celebration eh? Well, the baby's still asleep..." (He begins kissing her neck.) Jake: "And you have the morning off." (He continues kissing her shoulder as she starts to get into it.) Jake: "Perhaps we can have our celebration right here." (They start to kiss and make out heavily, but as they do a loud cry comes from the cradle near their bed. They both stop and look at each other with a heavy sigh then a small laugh.) Kara: "To be continued...." (She slides down under the covers and rolls out of bed out of sight of the camera. Jake just lays there in bed with his hands behind his head as he smiles brightly. The scene slowly fades out.) (The scene fades back in as we see Jake Storm running along the street in front of his house, coming back up the driveway after his jog. He is wearing a black windbreaker with hood, gloves, and black jogging pants. He takes the hood off his head as he walks up to the camera.) Jake: "Impact Pro Wrestling. My new home. You see, the world of wrestling, the world of fighting in general has always been a second home to me. I've never felt more comfortable than when I was in the ring pummeling my opponent within inches of his very life. I grew up on the streets of Brooklyn, and that can get a young man in trouble. Sure, I got in my share of fights as a young man. I used to be a little punk who would cause trouble with anybody who had the nerve to run off at the mouth. But then I grew up, got into the real world, and realized that my ways wouldn't cut it. So I learned to fight the right way, with discipline. After a long hard road, it let me right here...to the wrestling world. I'm certain that NOBODY's ever heard of me, and quite honestly that's the way I like it. You may think that I'm this nobody coming off the street. You may think that I'm one of these punk ass bitches who watched wrestling on TV and thought "That doesn't look so hard." But Trust me, I've been around the block a couple times. And if it wasn't for one fateful night in a crappy bar, The scene of the wrestling world would be changed. I was on a rocket path strait to the top. There was nothing that could stop me. But there is no reason to live in the past, no reason to dwell on what SHOULD have been. Now the only thing I have left is my future. Which brings me to IPW, the only fed willing to take a chance on an ex-con just out of prison. Unfortunately, IPW may just regret that decision. A year in lockup can mess with a mans head, it can mess with his psyche...It can really piss him off. So when they put me in the ring with ANYBODY, I can't be held accountable for what I might do to them. IPW put me in the Quest for the Gold Tournament, fresh off the streets without EVER seeing what I can do. I guess they have a great deal of foresight then, don't they? I promise you right now that I WILL cut through the field like O.J. Simpson through a house filled with white chicks! It doesn't matter who gets in my way in the 4 way latter match, I will fight like a man possessed and I will prove to the world, to myself, and most importantly to my family that I am WORTHY!" (Jake grabs the newspaper on his front porch and tucks it under his arm as he walks back towards the house. He stops on the porch and turns around looking at the camera again.) Jake: "Now, let's talk about next Tuesday Night! Let's talk about my in ring debut for IPW. Tuesday Night I've been thrown in a tag match with a partner I don't know against two opponents I've never heard of. First, let's address my partner, Mr. Ross Goddfred. Well, Ross, you and I have to gel in order to make this thing work and since neither of us have ever heard of the other, let me lay some things on the line. I've been around a ring or two in my life. You talk about your countless Boxing and MMA matches...that's good, I guess we have something in common then. The Mixed martial arts world has been good to me, has been good to my bank account in the past, and I've ended many a man's careers in that ring. Just know that you have an ally on your side, a dangerous ally who will do anything, and I mean anything it takes to grab success! So Goddfred, what about you? Are you willing to do what it takes to get the job done? See, I can't afford to let this opportunity go to waste. I have a family to support. I have a life to rebuild. I can't just pussyfoot around and pose for the camera. I can't just be another pretty face in wrestling, I have to bust my ass day in and day out and I have to be the very best that I can be. Are you willing to make that same commitment Ross? If you are, then we'll get along just fine. If not....well, just stay the hell out of my way! I promise you this one thing Ross, I can be your best friend, or your worst enemy! If you cross me, if you even think about hindering our chances in this match, you will see a side of Jake Storm that few people have ever lived to tell about." (Jake takes a sip of his water bottle, then tosses it to the side. He peers into the camera again.) Jake: "That brings me to my opponents, Extreme Demon and Rhett Dilligas. Well, Demon, you seem to love to talk, but you don't have a damn thing to say worth listening to. First of all you ignorant schmuck, my name is Jake Storm...JAKE STORM...S-T-O-R-M, not Storms! Second of all, I don't give a shit what you've done in the past or in some rinky dinky little kindergarten wrestling federation in bum fuck nowhere. Thirdly, you are a man of many contradictions. How can you seize every opportunity AND play fair? Sometimes you have to break the rules in order to take advantage of every situation and you can DAMN sure bet I have no problem going that extra mile if the moment calls for it. And fourth of all, you can feel free to give it your all on Monday...hell, do whatever you want on Monday. I'll see your big moronic ass on Tuesday, you know, the actual night of our match? Tell me something Demon, Do those knuckle cracking and 'Ohhhh, I'm a big scary monster' Intimidation tactics really work, cause I got to tell you, you come off more like a fluffy little bunny than a big scary demon. It seems that you're a little confused about why you're not in the Quest for the Gold tournament...perhaps it's because management knows you're a giant waste of a human being, knows that you won't fill ONE damn seat in any arena. Perhaps they know that you'll flame out in the first round, getting beat by some two bit chump who'll probably be bagging grocery's by the end of the week? See, instead of being all PISSED off about the tournament, you should be thanking your lucky stars that you're NOT in it. Cause then, you'll only have to suffer the humiliation of getting your ass kicked once by the FUTURE World Champion, the man you're looking at right now! So go ahead demon, bring everything you have. It won't be enough. I'm not only fighting for me, I'm fighting for my family. They say there's nothing more dangerous than a man with nothing to lose...I disagree...There's nothing more dangerous than a man with EVERYTHING to lose, a man who will do EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to protect his family, to make a life that he deserves. That man is Jake Storm!" (Jake turns around and walks to the door of his house. He steps in and closes the screen door. Then he stops and looks back at the camera, he opens the door one last time.) Jake: "Get Ready boys. Get Ready IPW. A STORM is about to be unleashed. The time has come for you to ask yourself one VERY serious question....can you Weather the Storm? Tuesday Night...the world will see FURY UNLEASHED!" (Jake turns around and goes into the house the scene zooms out to a shot of his house before it fades to black.) |
