Michelle was not sure what she made of Torban even after a few months of knowing him even though she didn't know him that well. She was shocked though that Torban showed he could match her up, she was angry that he had someone there to defend him, she only had herself, it was awful, she felt very isolated at this very moment, but her thoughts were not on herself, they were on Sebastian, who would be scarred for life if anything kicked off. Poor kid, he had not had the best start in life.

"Hmm, see, I dunno. I feel like I'm ready to turn in. You know, seeing as a man like me needs his beauty sleep."

Michelle had to smirk, although even she would admit Torban was handsome, it did not stop her wanting to kill him. "Your hiding something from me Torban, so what is it?" She asked, wrapping her arm around Sebastian making sure none of his men got him. "You wanted my help in finding Adam....but I wanted your help in finding William....maybe..." She cringed, "We should search together" She suggested against her best wishes.

"Here's the thing. I don't particularly like how you talk. I'd prefer to have my suit be able to see yet another day. So I think you'd better give me one good reason to stay. It's that, or I'm off to bed."

Michelle stepped closer to Torban and looked into his eyes not once letting go of Sebastian. "At the moment, whether you like it or not, we need each other" She said, "You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" She smirked.

Like hell he was. He wished though. He really wished he was hiding something from this godforsaken woman. He really really wished he had something to pull her strings with. But in all reality, he knew nothing. Zilch. And if he didn't know better, he would think that Adam had just died in some hole somewhere in Africa or something. But Adam didn’t die in holes. No, he was too good for that.

Torban merely shrugged, sending an “I don’t know what you’re talking about” message to Michelle. But the idea of searching together…it haunted him. He was partially scared, that’s why. This woman was crazy, and he didn’t want to spend his time with her. Hell, maybe she was crazy enough to try and rape him! The idea of searching for the Powers males with her was completely insane. He wasn’t going to even try. Not with her.

"At the moment, whether you like it or not, we need each other. You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours"

“Problem is, Ms Powers, I’m quite worried about the way you’ll scratch mine and how you’ll expect me to scratch yours,” Torban threw her a little sexual innuendo. “I mean, you’re attractive and all, you’re just not my type.” Definitely not his type.

Michelle smiled at him, he was throwing her a sexual node. She knew she was attractive, how did anyone think she got William? The most evilest man in the world, he'd surely want an evil woman. Yes, it was the baby more then anything that made William stay with her, but for five years? That was a long stretch, five years and two more children and of course he loved her, he couldn't keep his hands off her at the best of times, and now she was facing another guy who thought the same as him, she was attractive, but not his type.

Michelle looked over at Sebastian who had moved to the table, near his mother, but eating his pudding, so he was not looking. She moved closer to Torban, placing an arm around his shoulder and started to 'scratch' his back. "You see, Torban" She whispered, "I need you, I require you at the moment" She moved her face closer to his, seeing if she got a reaction from him, "And I know that deep down, if it came to it, you'd need me too, so lets just do it now and admit what we need" She whispered, seductively.

Sometimes, it was best to keep quiet, but at the best of times it was even better to persue what you need and a Powers will always persue.

How did he let it come to this? One minute he had everything under control, and the next, Michelle was all over him. That wouldn't have been a problem, except for the fact that he felt odd with a child in his vicinity, and he had this little tingling feeling about Carrie. She meant something to him, right? He couldn't just go gallivanting off to merlin knows where with merlin knows who.

But even though Torban had Carrie in the back of his mind, his wolf/animal instincts were slowly surfacing. Animals were wild. They did things spontaneously, on instinct. And here was, undoubtedly, an attractive woman that was driving him up the wall. Her arm around his shoulder. He could feel it there. He could smell her. Damn. This wasn't good. He couldn't let himself be sucked in. Not like this. Not so ungracefully.

Torban didn't need to have eyes. He felt Michelle's face closer to his. He felt her breath. He tasted it on his tongue. The air was sweet. Unnaturally woman like. Dammitt! He really needed to try. To try and get away from this stupid woman who was on the verge of successfully seducing him!

"Uhm. And what do you need, not want?"

"Uhm. And what do you need, not want?"

In 29 years Michelle had learned the right way to seduce men, and here she hasd Torban, evenryone knew he was who he was, and being evil gave her one more insight into the fact he was not completly human. Problem was, well, Michelle was in love with another and felt bad for seducing Torban, but she also needed the mans attention something she had not felt for three months since her daughter was born, so to be said she was deprived, as a woman who got attention twice a day to nothing was a massive step, and at the moment, Michelle knew she had Torban seduced, so Sebastian will be safe while she carried on.

"I need..." She took a pause to think carefully about this, as she came closer to his left ear and licked around the outside, knowing this would drive him wild! "I need the same as what I want" She whispered, knowing to most people that made almost no sense. "What do you...want?" She whispered.

To most people it did look as though Michelle was fighting a successful battle, but as she couldn't get it by being evil she had to change her game.

Facing Torban again, she smiled as she bought her lips close to his own, stroking his lips with her moist ones. She had to try for the sake of her family.

"I need...I need the same as what I want. What do you… .want?"

Torban’s heart was racing. He wasn’t sure anymore. He wasn’t sure of where this was going. Of what Michelle wanted. And why was she all over him??? She was using him. He knew that. But something in his instincts told him to go with it. Why not? Why not just…

The hair on his neck stood on end when Michelle licked his ear. It was almost unbearable. The seduction. His instincts. He was ready to go into a frenzy. He was about to attempt to say something, but Michelle beat him with her lips. The kiss…it was soft. Seductive. Women were goddamn seductive. Why did this have to happen to him? Where had his brain gone?

But he hadn’t been kissed in a while. Carrie and him…he didn’t even know what was going on. Ever. Michelle here, though, was kissing his lips. That couldn’t be so bad, right? With an inward sigh, he kind of gave in, and leaned into Michelle’s kiss. His eyes sparked that odd yellow when it was obvious his wolf instincts were rising to surface.

He brought his hand up to Michelle’s chin, and with one finger, he traced a line down to the opening in her shirt. He had completely forgotten that he was in a public place. He had forgotten that a child was not too far away, and he had forgotten anything else that really mattered. The only thoughts that still lingered in his head were whether or not he was doing the right thing? He could not possibly in any way allow himself to give in to Michelle. Not the company. Not ever. Nebula and all it’s workings would be staying with him…

It was Torban’s turn. He placed a kiss on a sweet spot of the neck, allowing for it to sink in before kissing her ear. “That depends. What do you have to offer?”

"That depends. What do you have to offer?"

Michelle's heart must have been beating in all the right places, she had never felt this connected to a man in a long time. As explained before three months is a long time to attempt everything alone, especially when you always had someone there, a whole five years was lost the day William left the family house, the day he broke her heart. Then again, to be fair, she could not blame him as she did tend to cling to him during her whirlwind pregnancy, but who could blame her? Only a year before she had lost a baby after having Keyleigh, then Maddie got killed, so she was not having a good time of it.

But somehow in the light of everything that has happened she found the attention from Torban to be too much, it did take all her control to not take him there and then. Truth be told, she wanted a lot, a man to just sleep with and show her attention, a lot like the relationship her friend Constance had with that asshole Mercury. Then again if Michelle slept with someone she expect it to be unprotected. She always wanted a big family, then again, she was still married so knew that would not shell well with either William or Adam.

As Torban kissed her back, Michelle felt as if the ground had swallowed her up. It felt so good to have this attention, so she deepened the kiss a lot more, now she could tell he must want her too. It was not about Nebula anymore this was just at getting a man to lavish her, something she missed. Slowly, Michelle started to notice him move towards her shirt opening.

"I have plenty to offer you" She whispered, "Question is, will you take it?" She asked. Moving closer to his ear after she shuddered from the kiss on the neck, he knew where to get her, that was for sure, "This isn't about Nebula anymore." She moved even closer and whispered seductively, "This is about two adults who need each other, it's just one night, Torban, i'm too young to be on my own and i need a man, my kids are my world, but there is something missing and you can give that to me....what do you say?" As she finished she moved back to kiss his lips, the feeling and the need all so much needed, something she very much missed.

What was Torban doing? Was he trying to ruin his image? Was he trying to become a laughing stock? Who slept with Michelle Powers? No one! No one was allowed to. She was William's girl...ugh. He was so screwed now. Why not just get on with it? He needed someone who would sleep with him and not want any strings attached. He needed someone who just really didn't give a damn.

This wasn't about Nebula anymore...That was what she told him. And although he had a small inkling that she might spring it on him again sometime soon, he tried to push it into the recesses of his mind.

"Should I take it? No strings attached I am going to assume?" Torban pretended to brood for a moment as his lips hovered over Michelle's. This was another reason why Carrie shouldn't bother him. He was just a scruffy old man who slept with plenty of different women. He wasn't suitable as a faithful companion. He couldn't change. He wasn't going to change. "I suppose I will. After all, what is a man like me going to do on such an awefully lonely night?"

He wrapped his arm around Michelle's waist and forced her towards him. Their body's touched and Torban looked down at Michelle with a very distinct look in his eyes. He was going to get what he wanted. "Shall we go someplace...secret?"

All around London, Michelle was well aware of people fearing her all because of who she was and who her family was, and although, sometimes, she felt flattered when someone backed away from her in pure fear, she was also saddened. Afterall she was a mother aswell as an evil beauty, only trying to care for her children but people made it difficult, as it only encouraged her to be evil. Michelle, deep down, didn't want her children to know what the Powers name really mean't for them, unlike their cousins, Tomas and Melody, Sebastian, Keyleigh and Madeleine-Paige were all far too innocent to understnad and Michelle wanted to keep them that way. Tomas, now just like his father, Adam was now to evil to grasp understanding, people feared him, but Melody uses her charm to win what she wants, a lot like Michelle. But no, Michelle was determined her children would not have that life.

Should I take it? No strings attached I am going to assume?

As Torban's lips hovered over her own, Michelle smiled to herself, this definetly was not about Nebula anymore, this was about sex and power. Michelle was able to charm any man she wanted into bed, so why Torban? Well that was simple, if she slept with Torban she may get an inside scoop at what was going on with the family, and that would give her one over on Adam and William, and well she wanted to know she could get any man she wanted. "You are right to assume, I'm still technically married" She mused, with a sweet, seductive smile, "But, we have to make it fun, no protection, how about that? I like the risks in life" She whispered into his ear, Michelle was desperate to feel another child within her, and she knew, if Torban refused she'd have to make it another way.

I suppose I will. Afterall, what is a man like me going to do on such an awefully lonely night?"
Shall we go someplace...secret?"

Michelle smiled and kissed him passionetly, it was going to be a good night although she was worried that she'd think of William, now that, would be unfair. As Torban forced her closer, Michelle thought she'd explode...with pleasure this is. As she saw the acomplished look in his eyes she smiled, "My place?" She asked, rubbing the front of herself against Torban descreetly, she knew going to hers they could drop Sebastian with his sisters.

It had been a hectic time for Dayla since her break up with Shane and yet she knew she was better off because of it. Being with someone who she knew loved her was better than being with someone who claimed to love her but would jump into the lap of another girl when his jealousy got the better of him. So being in Rome had been enough to help her get her rebellious side and lock it away in a cage for a while as her responsible side came back in control.
Though speaking of Rome it had been a hectic week and she had loved every minute of it with Cas, Nicole, Mely and Monique. She had felt like her old self though she probably shouldn't have drunk as much jaiger as she had, she was going to have that hangover for a century. Yet there was one thing about Rome that pert of her was regretting but she was never going to admit it if anyone asked, well aside from Nicole but even then it would only be in passing because god knew her stomach was tied up in knots because of it.

One drunken night she had spent with Celio where she had woke to find herself naked with him in her bed the next morning. It seemed that even though the two of them had had a blast in their drunken states he was feeling as bad as she was. The two had spoke a fair bit to catch up the morning after and it was then she found out he was engaged and his fiancee was pregnant. Her reaction had been "Oh Shit!" which hadn't surprised him much at all. She had then told him about Tallen and they seemed to come to a mutual agreement, neither of them would speak about it, not to each other or to their respected partners because it would only cause problems that neither of them wanted. Yet when he had sneaked out her room that morning she had a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach that he had been seen by a certain relation of Tallen's. She prayed she was wrong because the last thing she needed was for more drama to come between them.

Since she had got back in the country she had had to go back to the Castle to do last minute swotting for the exams which was becoming a bit of a missions due to missing notes and the like but she was glad that a few people had taken pity on her and given her copies of their own so she was in the loop. She had been sitting in her dorm trying to mull over some aspects of history of magic, even though she knew there was little chance of her actually passing it, with Minara curled up in her lap when she heard the tap at the window. She half expected it to be an owl from Celio telling her his child was born or something when she saw her name on the envelope in Tallen's handwriting. She let the owl fly out and before opening it. Obviously Cas or her brother had told him she was back in the country because he seemed pretty eager to meet with her in London. Part of her was wondering why he hadn't wanted to do this before she left the county but it seemed like many times before she was going to have to start flitting back and forth before the school year finished. Not like she was complaining, but it was the the nerves seemed to set in.

She began to worry about what to wear, how to do her hair and in a way it was like she was her teenage self again. Only this self knew better. She attempted to tone down her usual style a little and not go overboard with the make up yet it didn't feel right, It was like with the dress she wore on the night of the disasterous ball and yet she didn't want Tallen to be embarrassed by her, it was like the words from that confrontation they'd had when she was with Shane and him with Eve at the Nebula were haunting her. But he wouldn't want to see her otherwise, wouldn't love her otherwise, would he? And he wouldn't want her to immediately go respectable....even to her the thought was a bit odd. Finally she settled on something that wasn't over the top and checked herself over in the mirror.
Slightly tight black jeans clung to her legs hiding the height of her boots and the blood red corset was hidden behind a black leather jacket. Her hair was in a ponytail and her signature cross sat on her collar bone. Grabbing a few things and reluctantly some notes to study she'd left the castle.

Now here she was, sat at a table in Topsy Turvy, waiting for her prince charming and hoping he didn't back track when he saw her siting there. She bit her lip as she brushed some hair behind her ear, taking a sip of water as she read of her notes for Astronomy and taking a glance at her cellphone for the time or in case of a message. Her nerves were continuing to build and get the better of her, she just prayed she didn't end up doing something stupid.

Tallen hadn't been doing much lately. He'd been working, slaving away at Parliament and the House of Lords. He'd tried to persuade people to do this, change that, make room for these people, and on and on and on. Truthfully, the estate was slightly boring without Cas there to pester him endlessly. But only slightly. A part of Tallen also liked how he had a bit of time to relax when he got into his bed and stared at the ceiling.

He'd begun standing outside on his balcony, staring up at the night sky. He eventually had started sleeping on his balcony on a moveable lounge chair. He really liked sleeping under the stars. It made him wonder if Dayla was looking up at the very same moment. Or if she was thinking about him.

Cas had promised to keep her safe. He'd promised Tallen that Dayla wasn't going to do anything she'd regret, or anything stupid. cas promised. But then again, this was Cas Tallen was thinking about. Cas had the attention span of a 5 year-old. He'd eventually wander off to color a moustache on someone's face or something.

Tallen had to just pray that everything was fine and dandy. Nothing was a problem, he'd have to believe that. Cas had come home, looking rather pleased with himself. Tallen never understood why. It wasn't like Cas had scored a girl or anything, was it? After all, he wasn't the type to stick around with one person. It would shock Tallen. No, it must've been something else. He'd probably just had too much fun in Rome. Perfect. So Tallen knew for sure, Dayla was not watched by Cas. So Cas didn't know if anything had happened.

It was at that revelation that Tallen couldn't resist the urge to write Dayla a letter. It would have driven him nuts if he had to wait any longer to see Dayla. So he arranged a meeting at the Topsy-Turvy. Neutral enough right? With no disasters having taken place there yet. He was running late though, because some pompous ass had decided to prolong the process of voting at the HoL by taking forever to explain his vote to the rest of the attendees. Why were old people allowed to exist?

Tallen looked down at his watch. 4 minutes late. Not too bad. It wasn't like Dayla was going to hurt him for being late. This was Dayla he was talking about after all. Tallen walked over to the bar first and grabbed himself a scotch before walking over to Dayla's table. It was halfway across the restaurant that he'd realized he didn't know what he was doing. Or going to say for that matter. The last time they'd seen eachother, he'd said he loved her and then had just run out. Was Dayla going to feel normal with him just prancing up and acting all happy and innocent?

No, Tallen needed to do this the dignified way. He walked over and slowly sat himself down in the seat opposite from her. He smiled as he watched her look over her Astronomy notes. "Never understood that class. Or understood what it'd get me." Tallen looked down at his glass of scotch and smiled shyly. "Look Dayla. I'm sorry about the last time...It was inappropriate, and completely wrong for me to have done that to you. I-I don't know what had come over me."

Oh god. Now he was apologizing. Was this ever going to get better? Or were Dayla and Tallen going to walk on thin ice forever? He just didn't want it to be awkward anymore. He'd give anything just for them to be normal.

Dayla was thinking of Tallen the whole time she was away, it was like he was there in the back of her mind the whole time making her wonder what he was doing, if he was busy working or thinking of her in those few moments that he would manage to have alone. She had wanted to send him an owl but the idea hadn't come to mind until she was practically drowning in the amount of Jaiger that was in her blood system. Yet she was glad that Nicole had manage to talk her out of it, there was no telling what she would have ended up telling him and it probably would have made things go back to the square one. With him hating her and her in complete and utter denial. And that probably would have worried Tallen and made him realie that Cas wasn't keeping his promise....then again he knew what Cas was like. But She was sure it would reassure him if she told him he had kept her safe, he had stopped her doing a fair amount of stupid stuff while they were on the streets of Rome.....including a tattoo, corset piercings and a marriage proposal from a drunk guy from Amsterdam.

When Tallen had asked to meet at Topsy Turvey she had a feeling it was because he wanted a meeting place that was netural and gave them a chance to start over. At the Nebula there was so many memories, same with the Castle and to a point his place and her parents' so Topsy Turvey was definitely a good idea and she was going to make sure there was no bad reason for them to have to avoid it. Yet as the thought registered she took another glance at her phone while trying to remember the more complicated constellations it was getting steadily harder and she was starting to wonder why she had liked the subject to begin with. It was getting a bit late and as far as she could tell he wasn't here and her heart sunk into her stomach a little at the thought that it was because he'd changed his mind but her conscience assured her that wasn't true. He was probably just running late that's all.

She turned her attention back to the notes though felt a gaze on her from the direction of the bar, trying to ignore it as her attention turned back to the notes but her mind really wasn't in it. It was more focused on their last meeting before Rome. How he'd told her he loved her before leaving to deal with Parliament business. It made her heart swell a little and yet until he said it again under less stressful circumstances she wasn't going to keep her hopes up. Though even as she did so she heard Cas' words from the first night in Rome echoing around. How in Tallen's mind they were serious. She was running over her best friend's words in her head when she felt a presence sitting in the chair opposite. She kept looking at a chart of the planets when she heard him speak. Her heart jumped a beat but she merely looked up at him, flashing a shy smile as she folded her notes in half and pushed them into her jacket pocket.

"Never understood that class. Or understood what it'd get me."

"Believe me I don't even know why I like it so much. But aside from Muggle studies and History of magic it's the only one I know I need to work on." She said softly, taking a sip of her glass of water as she watched him. She brushed a stray hair out her face ahe looked down into his scotch, pushing Cas' opinion of why Tallen had been drunk in the past to the back of her mind but paused when she saw him look down and the smile on his face. A Perfect smile that seemed to fit him so well. God she'd missed him.

"Look Dayla. I'm sorry about the last time...It was inappropriate, and completely wrong for me to have done that to you. I-I don't know what had come over me."

"Please don't be sorry....It was all I could think about the whole time in Rome. I mean I understand in society it's seen as inappropriate but between us....I didn't mind. Unless you didn't mean what you said?" She tried to keep a light tone in her voice with the last question, keeping a smile on her face as she tried to ignore the alcoholic in her screaming for a drink. No...she couldn't keep relying on it if she wanted to make this work and god knew Tallen didn't need to see her as a drunken mess. The awkwardness should disappear....soon hopefully.

Tallen had grown up expecting nothing more of his life except work, money, society, and well...being him. But being him was a foreign thought in a way. After all, what Duke really had time for himself to discover his hobbies and interests? At the end of the day, Tallen just wanted to relax. Yes, he liked to do some different things here and there but he had never really...found his identity in a way. And it wasn't like he had grown up with a mother by his side to tell him all sorts of bedtime stories. He never had the chance to ever really know what having a mother was like. And he wasn't a girl who heard all sorts of fairytales to give her hope for the future.

No. He was a man. A man now, who had the one thing he had ever really wanted. Needed. In front of him. She sat there, nothing like he had ever pictured, nothing like anyone would have expected. But it didn't matter. It didn't matter because somehow, she was it. She was everything and that's all that mattered. If only she knew.

Tallen had been thinking about it for a while. He had been wondering where to go from here. Or there. Whichever. He wanted to know what he could do now that he had expressed his feelings for Dayla. What could he say? What was safe? Honestly, he didn't know. There were no lessons in expressing love or emotion. There had been no guidance in his boyhood on how to deal with women. What was he supposed to do now? It felt awkward, strained. Could he fix this? This was his mess after all. This was his chaotic mess.

"Believe me I don't even know why I like it so much. But aside from Muggle studies and History of magic it's the only one I know I need to work on."

"Is that still a required class? Muggle studies? That was the worst class in Hogwarts. So dull. And so useless if you live in both worlds." Tallen sighed and watched Dayla take a sip of her water. Ok. Now what? Where was this going to go? Damn, he had just ruined it. Great. Sighing, Tallen swirled the drink in his glass and stared at the table. This was not going too well. He normally wasn't so tongue-tied and at a loss for words.

"Please don't be sorry....It was all I could think about the whole time in Rome. I mean I understand in society it's seen as inappropriate but between us....I didn't mind. Unless you didn't mean what you said?"

Tallen's eyebrows raised when Dayla mentioned thinking about what he had said before she had left. Wow. Had he really made that big of an impact? Or maybe....maybe Dayla felt the same way? What if he hadn't been wrong? What if she actually saw him the same way? That was good? That meant that she wanted to be with him, right?

Tallen looked Dayla straight in the eyes and gave her a grin. For some reason, he had a new found courage. Something told him it was alright and that he didn't have to worry. Or be shy. That grin stayed plastered on his face as he shook his head. "I meant every. Every word of it." Tallen glanced behind Dayla and thought for a minute. Then he stood up and pulled off his suit jacket. Rolling up his sleeves and loosening his tie, he held out a hand for Dayla.

The restaurant had slower music than the club portion of the Topsy-turvy. Music that allowed people to dance a little. In this case, Tallen and Dayla. If she'd do it, seeing as Tallen was asking her to dance on an empty dance floor in front of everyone.

"I owe you a dance." He looked down at Dayla and waited. She wouldn't leave him hanging, would she?

This really did seem like the kind of fairytale her mother had read to her when she was small. The whole girl meets guy and they fall in love kind of thing. But they had so much more history than that that made it complicated and yet if Tallen was willing as Dayla was their history could be forgotten. Well not all of it but the more.....unpleasant aspects like yelling in foyers and breaking each other's hearts by using someone in the other's place. But there was going to be so much more to Dayla's life once she walked out of Hogwarts' gates, it probably wouldn't be what her father, step father, mother or brother wanted but she knew Tallen would support her no matter what. She would be the Lady/Duchess he wanted...but she would be so much more....and none of it would have to do with the wizarding world. While her blood was pure...and there was a good chance her children when she had them would be too she couldn't see herself associated with that world much anymore.
But Tallen's presence in her life was one thing that was important to her, she needed him to be there. Needed him to keep her grounded when her life was turning to shit and her feet couldn't take wearing high heels anymore. His thoughts mattered more than any other....that had been evident when she was fifteen and dyed her hair black after what he said about red heads. Looking back it was laughable and she would have denied it but now she knew it was true.

"Is that still a required class? Muggle studies? That was the worst class in Hogwarts. So dull. And so useless if you live in both worlds."

"Not required so much as suggested. I thought it was interesting until my fifth year.....and now it just seems to make little sense with some things and make some things seem bigger than others. But It is a little useless if you've been living in a part muggle background." Dayla said with a shrug, feeling his gaze on her. "Still I guess from a magical perspective muggles are 'fascinating.'"

It did seem like this were a bit awkward, that neither Tallen nor she had any idea where they wre going next with thi conversation let alone their date. Though despite what he thought he hadn't ruined it, it had just been a while since either of them had spoken without violence of hormones taking over the sitatuation. She brushed some stray strands of hair behind her ears as she watched him stare at he table and swirl his drink as though it was an action that had come to him naturaly over the past view months. It was definitely going better than any of their previous meetings, even he had to admit that much. It was just....they were still so tongue-tied.

She bit her lip after speaking and saw his eyebrows raised as though surprised at what she had just admitted. He must honestly have not expected her to say such things let alone as good as admit that she feels the same way. Yet if she could make herself come out and say it maybe that would be enough to make him see the truth. He had made a bigger impact than he could posibly imagine with those words, and if anything made her more determained to show him that eveything he wanted she wanted too. Not to mention that she loved him and would do anything to be with him. She swallowed nervously when he looked her in the eyes like he was trying to read her soul and yet the grin that appeared assured her even before he spoke the words that he had meant every word.

She watched his posture change to show the courage he had gathered from her words and knew it was probably because of what she said. That despite what society expected let alone what he had been lead to believe it could be different when it was the two of them. When they were alone they didn't need to consider those rules, just focus on how it felt to be in the other's presence. The grin that remained on his features seemed to make something inside her melt a little and the way he shook his head seemed to help her shake off those levels of doubt that had been building.

"I meant every. Every word of it."

She smiled softly and couldn't seem to stop herself blushing a little as she said "I'm definitely glad." She felt his gaze moving over her shoulder a second and wondered if there was someone watching them or something but straightened up a little when he stood up, confusion covering her face for a moment as he took off his jacket. A smile appeared as she caught on to what he was doing and his hand was held out in her direction. She hadn't expected him to want to do something like dance in a restaurant where anyone could see.

"I owe you a dance."

Even though she was unsure about doing something like this in public it seemed like a big deal to him. To assure him that she hadn't been toying with him. She shrugged her jacket off so it rested on the back of the chair and rested her hand in his as she got to her feet.

"I still say I'm crap at dancing but if you insist, I'd be glad to try." She whispered softly, squeezing his hand reassuringly.

Ink may stain my skin,

I'm not perfect, but I swear,
I'm perfect for You.

"Not required so much as suggested. I thought it was interesting until my fifth year.....and now it just seems to make little sense with some things and make some things seem bigger than others. But It is a little useless if you've been living in a part muggle background. Still I guess from a magical perspective muggles are 'fascinating.'"

"From a magical perspective, muggles are a completely opposite race. From a logical perspective, they're just neighbors with a different culture. It's just that our world doesn't see that. It probably won't for a long time." Tallen sighed. "It's hard living in both worlds. It's also hard to be a diplomat for both worlds. The Prime Minister isn't exactly the biggest fan of our world. I keep trying to tell him that it's all fine. But I think that if I push it, he'll expel me from the government."

Tallen finished his drink. "Or try to at least." Tallen sighed as he watched a couple walk by, arm in arm and sit down at a table. They looked at each other like love birds who haven't seen eachother in forever. Tallen wished he had that. He wished he could share the same looks with Dayla. He wished how they wouldn't have a care in the world and at the end of the day, they could just sit and look at eachother with love filled eyes.

"I'm definitely glad."

"Good. Because I don't know what I'd do if you weren't," Tallen half-joked. Honestly, what would he have done if Dayla had told him no. No more, no love, no hope, etc. What would he have done if she had said "begone"? Tallen would have been a disaster. He would have sulked for days on end and.... Why was he thinking about this anyway? He needed to focus. Make things better if he could.

Dayla seemed to accept his request to dance with a little bit of hesitancy. But at the same time, she looked eager to make everything easier between them. Dayla took off her jacket and Tallen resisted every urge to cringe at the corset he saw. He couldn't. He couldn't be ashamed. This was Dayla. He loved her. He needed to start showing it. He needed to prove to her that he cared. So in this case, he couldn't care about how she looked in public. He shouldn't care. After those thoughts, Tallen looked back at Dayla and smiled. Looking her over, he realized how beautiful she really was. He realized that as he looked her over. Hell, as he let his young mind wander a bit, he realized that the corset made her look...sexy. Ok. Now he needed to stop. He couldn't let his mind wander!

"I still say I'm crap at dancing but if you insist, I'd be glad to try."

"You can't be all that bad. Besides, I'm supposed to lead. All you must do is follow, and not step on my new italian handmade leather shoes." Tallen smiled to indicate that he was joking and then squeezed Dayla's hand back in reassurance. He then led her out onto the dance floor and pulled Dayla towards him. Wrapping a hand around her back, Tallen positioned himself as taught many many years ago and then began to lead Dayla through the soft and slow dance. He knew people were watching. How he was all dressed up and proper looking while the girl in his arms was everything but. They probably thought that....

No, he couldn't let himself care. Tallen brought his head closer to Dayla's, placing his cheek against the side of her head. In her ear, he whispered, "Well, so far you've managed to stay off the beautiful leather. That's an improvement." Tallen waited a couple moments before speaking again. "What are you planning to do this summer? Any trips other than Rome?"
