To our darling daughter, Constance, How are things? How come you have not come to visit as of yet? Your brother tells us you are not working, so why the slowness in getting up here and lettng us spoil our baby grandson? How is young Theodore doing anyway? We hope the drain came out fine and he is breathing no problem, we're still not happy with your name choice, Theodore, we liked James, we told you James, the father isn't active, so why shoud he care? Write back soon, Love Mum and Dad. xoxox It had been a week since Constance had read this letter and today was the day in which she was taking her son on a mystery trip to the foot of the mountins in Hogsmeade, or on the outskirts anyway. She needed to get away from the London area and her apartment, why did it seem everyone was against her at the moment? Carlos was in France with her parents lapping up the time away from London and work, Mercury stayed at work so he would not concern himself with her or Theodore, and her parents could not keep of her back about her choices. I mean, she didn't want the baby and now she has him it was her choice, no one elses. Hearng a feeble cry she looked down at her son who was getting restless, so spotting a rock, she sat herself down and read the letter for the twelve time that week. Once finished, she took him out of his buggy, he was all wrapped up nice and warm for the trip and was getting restless and frustrated cause he could hardly move in his fluffy body warmer. So zipping it down she took him out of it, to reveil the most handsome looking baby ever, dressed in his jeans and trackie top, and of course according to Mercury most Banks men were good looking at birth. Sighing Constance removed a bottle from the bag on the buggie and started to feed her son, "I don't know Theo, mummy is stuck between two worlds" She smiled, nowing Theo not only didn't understand but also didn't care. It was like having a permenant Mercury around. |

Aurora made her way to the foot of the mountains with Matthew walking beside her holding her hand tightly, he was little for his age but that was ok, the fast was that Matthew was absolutely adorable with his fathers deep blue eyes and his mothers blond hair, though he had his fathers face and everytime Aurora looked at matthew she could see Brian looking back at her. Matthew was an adventurous boy, very active, loved playing sports, bright and clever, often got himself into trouble. Really though Aurora didn't know what she would do without him, she loved him dearly. Aurora siled down at Matthew as he talked happily about flying on his little training broom that didn't go any higher then a few feet off the ground, it was his favourite toy and he rode it everyday for hours, it was safe enough for him to ride it in the house as it didn't go to fast either and he rode it around the yard as the bounderies around their home didn't allow him to fly out of the yard. Aurora and matthew finally reached the foot of the mountains, Aurora looked around and spotted another women there. Aurora and Matthew made their way over to a free rock, she lifted Matthew up onto the rock and then sat down beside him, Aurora began to rifle through her bag and pulled out a snack and a juice box for Matthew. Matthew loved it up here, he could play and Aurora could keep a good watch on him as he played and she relaxed. He was good at entertaining himself though a lot of times, Aurora often played with him so he wouldn't have to be alone all the time, though he was very outgoing, definately wasn't a shy boy. |

Constance knew that at some point she would have to make a decision about what she wanted for her life and for Theodore's. For someone who never wanted children, she was definetly portraying the perfect mother image. Then again, even she knew it wasn't an act, she felt that 'motherly rush' the minute she placed Theodore on her chest after he was born, but she only felt it for five minutes before she fainted and woke two days later only to find out they almost lost her and her son. So now she had a baby who had Leukeimia, and was not showing any signs of getting worse, which was lucky, in herself she was very glad that he had had the drain out. Sometimes she did think Mercury was right and baby'd him, but she couldn't help it, she loved her son....then again, did she keep him close most of the time to get Mercury as well? Looking around whilst she fed Theodore, she noticed another woman come up to the rocks with a young boy, he was very handsome young chap, a lot like she imagined Theodore to be when he was older, but at the moment she thought he looked just as handsome. Mercury had always complimented his son on being the best looking Banks man, (except him), yet. With his dark tuffs of hair, his cute button nose, his little dimples when he smiled, he was the most perfect baby, and this young boy looked how she would imagine Theodore to look in about seven years time, before he was supposed to get worse. Feeling a little tugging at the bottle, she noticed that Theodore had had enough of his milk, so she wiped his mouth and started to burp him. "Want to go see daddy later, sweety" She said to him, not like she could really ask him, it would be nice when he could talk, she looked down at Theodore who was watching the other women, he had an eye for the ladies already, poor sod. |

Matthew finished up his snack and juice box, and aurora easily took care of his garbage with a light mutter and a small flick with her wand. Aurora smiled at Matthew and kissed his forehead quickly as he asked her if he could go play, she nodded, " Yes, Mattie you can go play, but stay close so I can see you, don't go to far and don't touch anything you don't know what it is ok?" Aurora said, Matthew nodded quickly. Aurora plaughed softly and ruffled his hair affectionately before she lifted him gently from the rock they were sitting on and set him down on his feet. Matthew took of, running a little clumsily on his short legs. Aurora sat back down watching him closely, being an Auror she had sharp eyes and quick reflexes so if anything happened to him she'd be there right away. Aurora sighed softly and ran a hand through her hair, she nibbled lightly on her bottom lip and got lost in her thoughts though still paying attention to Matthew. She really missed Brian, she she hasn't seen him since Matthew was still a baby. Aurora watched as Matthew crouched down and picked up a stick, she smiled as he began to draw little pictures in a patch of dirt, he was to young still to know how to read and write but he was learning, and he did like to draw pictures just like any other kid his age. |

Theodore had never been a wiggly baby, but now as Constance was holding him on her lap she felt him wiggling towards the other lady with the older boy. She smiled as she could tell that Theodore was interested in what was going on around him, for being a three month old baby he was definetly not a shy one. It was a shame he had so much trouble going on at the moment, it made Constance all that more protective over the only thing that mean't more to her then Mercury. Which suprised Constance and Theodore from the smile on his face when she placed him on the grass on his back, he started to roll over, maybe this was the start of her actually listening to Mercury and letting Theodore live instead of babying him. She smiled as her son looked at her with a cheeky grin, oh he was definetly Mercury's son. "Behave yourself little man" She teaded, reaching down to tickle him, she looked up and saw the young boy playing around, she was interested to whether he'd take notice to Theodore being on the ground where he could be more of an interest to the young boy. |

Matthew got tired of drawing pictures in the dirt, he set the stick down and then stood up once more, he looked around for somthing else he could do until he saw a women and her son who was lying on the ground. Matthew bit on his lower lip, he was a little bit of a shy boy, but he was also very curious and out going. Matthew slowly made his way over to the women and her baby, he gave her his cute tentative smile and stopped a few foot steps away. " Hi." Matthew said, he waved a litte and smiled. Aurora had her eyes closed for a few minutes, she was tired but still awake enough to not fall asleep, besides she couldn't just fall asleep there and risk Matthew getting hurt because she wasn't keeping an eye on him. Aurora sighly softly, liking the feel of the warm sun on her face, she was glad that spring was finally here, the snow was almost gone and the wheather has been getting nicer and warmer. Aurora opened her eyes and caught sight of Matthew talking to the other women and her baby, the women didn't seem to be dangerous in anyway but Aurora still stood up and went over to her son, she reached him and gently placed a hand on his head and looked at the women, " Sorry, he's just a naturally curious boy." Aurora said to her, she ruffled Matthew's hair affectionately. |

" Hi." Constance smiled at her little boy, he was so cute, although she wished he was a girl sometimes she knew that Theodore would make her a very proud mother one day, as long as nothing happened to prevent that, and knowing his father, it could happen. Hearing a small voice out of the corner of her ear she looked around to see the handsome young boy she was looking at, his gorgeous, blonde hair really shimmered in the sunlight. "Hi there, sweety" She smiled, "Aren't you handsome" She said, with a twinkle. " Sorry, he's just a naturally curious boy." Within a few extra minutes, Constance heard another voice and looked up to see what looked like the boys mother, he did look an aweful lot like her, like Theodore did her in some aspects. She looked down at her son, who had rolled over to his tummy and was looking up at the young boy, his eyes filled with amazement. "That's okay, looks like my son likes yours" She smiled, looking down at Theodore who was attempting to shuffle towards the other boy, so Constance picked him up, put him on her knee so he could have a proper look, within seconds Theodore had placed his arms out to the other boy, looked as though Theodore wanted the young boys effection, he had always been a cuddly baby. |

"Hi there, sweety. Aren't you handsome" Matthew relaxed when he saw how friendly the women was, his smile brigthened towards her and her son, " I'm Matthew." he said happily, " What's his name?" Matthew asked curiously, he smiled at the baby in his usual friendly way and waved at him. Matthew felt Aurora's hand on his head and he looked up at her and grinned slightly, the same way his father used to so little often, Aurora smiled back at him and they both looked back to the women and her son whom she was now holding. "That's okay, looks like my son likes yours" Aurora smiled and nodded, " Looks like mine does too." she said lightly, absentmindedly playing with her sons hair. Aurora knelt down behind Matthew and pulled him close to her, just to make sure he didn't get too close, not that she was worried that the other women would do anything, Aurora was just protective of Matthew, he was all she had really. " I'm Aurora Sarai." she said to the women, she smiled slightly at her. Matthew snuggled himself happily against her and started to make funny faces at the baby. Aurora looked at the other mother, " What's you're name?" she asked in return. |

" I'm Matthew. What's his name?" Constance smiled at the young boy, he did not seem as shy as she first thought that he was, "His name is Theodore" She smiled at the young boy, "Nice to meet you Matthew, I'm Constance" She held out her hand to see if the little boy took it or not, she wouldn't blame him if he didn't at the end of the day when she was as young as Matthew she wouldn't have. She did think the boy was handsome, she just hoped Theodore would be as chamed as that when he got a little older. " Looks like mine does too." " I'm Aurora Sarai. What's you're name?" Constance smiled as the other mother agreed, "Would you like to have a closer look at the baby, Matthew?" She asked him, knowing that all small children were of interest to children, hell, it interested even her at 20. As the mother spoke again, she looked up, "Oh, where are my manners, I'm Constance, Constance Vallerio" She smiled up at her, waiting to hear Matthews reaction, as Theodore wiggled in her lap even more, she knew he wanted to explore, but he was so tiny. At the moment though, it felt as though she was holding him back. |

"His name is Theodore. Nice to meet you Matthew, I'm Constance" Matthew smiled at them, he reached out and lightly grasped Constance's hand, " It's nice to meet you too." Matthew replied honestly, he let go of her hand once more. He was a very open boy, very polite, happy, strong and playful like his mother was when she was his age, but he was very much like his father and his father was a rather dark individual and Aurora saw that part of him everyday, but she wasn't worried, even though his father was evil, his father still had his heart in the right place....well sort of....Aurora still loved brian even though they haven't seen eachother in four years. "Would you like to have a closer look at the baby, Matthew?" Matthew rubbed the back of his neck, he squinted his eyes slightly trying to decide if her should or not. Matthew looked over his shoulder at Aurora, who was still holding him close to her. Aurora smiled at Matthew affectionately as he looked at her, silently asking her if it was ok, she smiled and nodded. Matthew grinned happily and nodded, " Yeah!" he said, excited. "Oh, where are my manners, I'm Constance, Constance Vallerio" Aurora nodded, " it's nice to meet you Constance." she said honestly, " You have quite a handsome little boy there, he's adorable." Aurora said softly, she smiled and tucked some hair behind her ear as she continued to hold her son close to her with her other arm. |

" It's nice to meet you too." " Yeah!" Constance smiled as the young boy took her hand and shook it. She was amazed at what such a wonderful little boy he was, he was so polite, she hoped Theodore would grow up with that attitude to life, that nothing ever comes easy, and you have to work if you truely want something. She smiled much more when he seemed excited about seeing the baby, all children seeed excited, Matthew could not have been much older then Chelsea, and she adores her cousin, almost to the point of callling him her baby! "Why don't you come sit on this rock with mummy, and I'll let you see a mini version of you" She smiled at Matthew, "Because I'm sure you were small at some point" She teased, Matthew seemed like an intelligent boy, he'd surely know. " it's nice to meet you Constance. You have quite a handsome little boy there, he's adorable." "Oh please, the pleasure is mine" She replied, honestly. "Yeah his father sayd the same thing, but he's the dad he is allowed to be biased I suppose" She laughed, "You may know him, Mercury Banks?" She asked, wondering what sort of reaction that would have caused, |

Shrouded in darkness, she stood motionless beneath the trees. Watching, waiting. For all the time that had passed, it looked the same. Down in the village people bustled around just as they had before she'd left. The smell on the air was the same. Wood from the fires, yesterday's rain and the stench of humanity. It filled her up, suffocated her, brought back memories of a life she'd thought dead and gone. She'd been exiled. Had run for her life. She'd traveled aimlessly for what had felt like an eternity. She'd never been a coward, but sometimes the fight was too big. She may have been a lot of things, but she wasn't so stupid as to think that she could take on all those who wanted her dead. So she'd fled to safety with the help of one whom she'd once sworn to kill. She wasn't sure exactly why he'd done it, not after everything that had come to pass between them. But yet he had,and between them they'd made sure she left Britain far behind her. She'd not heard from him since. For all she knew he could be dead. Probably at the hand of his brother. The purer than thou Caelestis Moody was like a wart on the face of the earth. Many had tried to kill him, but to her knowledge none had succeeded. However, she'd been away a long time, and word traveled slowly to the East. Maybe he was finally dead, maybe they both were. Still, it was no matter, she'd get her questions answered eventually. All that mattered now was that she'd returned. No longer scared of the fight, no longer running like a coward. The warm summer wind whipped her black cloak around her, tugging at her hair and sending the leaves on the floor tumbling across the path in front of her. For a brief second the moonlight ghosted through the clouds, illuminating her face. Pale, so pale but so alive. Her eyes shining with a fire that burned deep in her soul. A fire fueled by a quest to right the wrongs and an engulfing desire to seek revenge upon all who'd ever stood in her way. With her wand in one hand, Erica Winters stared out at the village below. Her lips curled into a smirk as she whispered into the night. "Guess who's home. I hope you put up balloons." |

Samantha's wand was a blur as she cast one spell after the other. She swiped and struck, casting everything from simple Stunners to a couple curses that she might've been put in Azkaban for had the Ministry been able to detect them. At last, Sam seemed to create a rope of flames which she twirled around with startling accuracy; from the village down below, she supposed she might look like a single spark on the horizon. A tiny gold star just below the heavens. Her emerald eyes were ablaze with the fire dancing around her, until finally she struck diagonally, her feet close to the edge of the mountain. Samantha stopped and the flames disappeared. A few beads of sweat went down her face as she breathed in the summer air, steadying her heartbeat. She sat down on a nearby boulder, staring out at the sight before her. It was quite dark, but even without the lights, Sam supposed she would've just been able to make out the dark outline of Hogwarts Castle. She supposed she should be returning to the school soon enough; she didn't have any guarding duties, but her father, Ralem or other teachers could make a big deal out of her absence again. No one was really supposed to leave the castle this late. But Sam was in no rush. She liked to practice out here. And duelling practice had become more important than ever. Not because of her impending N.E.W.T.'s (she had a feeling she would ace most of them, especially Duelling), but because of the final battle that was approaching. A few months had passed since that meeting with Xavier and Samantha knew she needed to be at her best. After a while, Samantha stood up and headed down the path that lead back to Hogsmeade. But as she walked through the darkness, just thinking how nice it'd be to have a shower, turn in and call it a day, she suddenly went on-guard. Sam thought she'd heard something. Who else was out here at this time? She pulled her wand just as a precaution and looked in the direction she'd thought it came from. Sam lit the tip of her wand with 'Lumos' in order to take a better look at the identity of the figure up ahead. Her eyes widened. "You..." Sam's voice was more surprised than angry. |

It was almost undetectable, the sound of soft footsteps on the path behind her. Months of being on her guard had taught Erica to stay alert. It was a habit hard to break. Instinctively, her hand tightened around her wand as the footsteps grew closer. Were they hunting her already? She'd lost the assassins somewhere in Bulgaria, or at least that was what she'd presumed. Had she been wrong all along? Out of the corner of her eye she caught sight of light. Magical light, cast by a wand. The assassins had never needed light to find her. Marrik had explained how they could track even the most careful vampire. No, this couldn't be the assassins. Still, Erica tensed, ready for the fight. With a slowness that was almost painful, she turned her head toward her pursuer. "You..." Erica stared at the girl behind her. Long brown hair tumbled over her shoulders, and her face was so much like that of her fathers that only an idiot would have failed to see the resemblance. "Well if it isn't little Sammie!" Erica turned fully to face the girl, smiling wickedly and pushing back the hood of her robes as she did so. In one stride she was stood next to Sam, peering down at her like some kind of science experiment. With a giggle, Erica tapped the girl on the head with her wand. "Little Sam! Or maybe not so little these days. Look how you've grown!" The vampire peered over the top of her head. Eyes wide and bright, teeth bared in a psychotic smile. "Sam is all grown up. Daddy must be proud!" Erica skipped in a wide circle around the young Gryffindor, never taking her eyes from her, or letting the grip on her wand loosen. "But wait...is this my welcome home party? Just you? I have to say I'm a little sad. I'd hoped for more. Maybe your father, that kid of mine, your uncle maybe." Erica rocked back and forth on the heels of her bare feet, the smile never falling from her blood red lips. "Still, I guess I should be happy with the almighty Samantha Moody. Am I even worthy to be in your presence?" The vampires laugh echoed around them. Cold and hollow, empty of all emotion. It was a laugh of a mad woman. |
