I voted Fiver for two reasons... The main one being that I don't think Silverweed was an actual seer. I think he'd just seen so many deaths from the snares that he'd ACTUALLY gone insane.

Hyzenthlay, on the other hand, IS a seer, though not as... out of it as Fiver gets sometimes. :) No offence.

Silverweed is not a visionary like Fiver; he's just a darn good, albiet scary poet.

Well, that's the series, not the book. But I've always thought Silverweed's poem suggested some level of visionary qualities, even if only slightly. At the very least, Silverweed saw things the way they really were, and didn't try to cover everything up like Cowslip.

Fiver. :ph43r:

I don't know anything about Silverweed and I never watched that far into the series to find out about him. All he did in the book was come in for two minutes to say a poem... That's it.

I'm not really going to favor someone that is only there for one page over a character that's mentioned on nearly every page, he's just too insignificant. I know his poem might have been powerful and all but it hasn't really convinced me to prefer him.

Silverweed's quite a minor character overall in terms of the book; he just proves to Fiver that Cowslip's warren was dangerous. In the movie, Fiver just realized it on his own that the warren was deceiving.

In the books, he says what I think to be on of the most interesting parts (the poem and all) and in the serie he is an even more powerful seer (and more than just that) than Fiver. I gotta say that I voted for him but they ought to be my most favorite characters weither from the book or the serie.

I never got to watch the series (unable to find it, besides random clips on youtube... terribly unfair...) but I think that even if I did, I would still prefer Fiver. He is just an amazing character over all and always has been. Plus, I've known and loved him for the majority of my life, where as if I was to discover Silverweed now, it could never amount to the nostalgia surrounding Fiver in my mind.

Actually all three seasons of WD are on youtube. Different people have uploaded them under different names.

Try WSD series episode or WSD series 3 in the search bar.

I never liked silverweed in the series, but cowslip in the movie was pretty good. The way he read those lines of poetry was really creepy.
Well, George Lewis told the Englishman, the Italian and the Jew:
"You can't open up your mind, boys
To every conceivable point of view."
They got Charles Darwin trapped out there on Highway Five
Judge says to the High Sheriff: "I want him dead or alive."
