Woundwort's eye; In the film and series...

In both the theatrical film and the television series, General Woundwort's left eye was injured. In the film it never says how his eye was injured, but I don't know about the series. Does the series ever elaborate on this?

In the book, apparently both of his eyes are fine, as references are often made to his 'great pale eyes.' So, was the one bad eye simply incorporated into his character design for the film and series to make him look more frightening?

Also, I'm confused about his true eye color: in a few parts of the film, his eyes are bright pale blue like all the other Efrafans, but most of the time they are a dark green, even in bright light(as when Woundwort questions Bigwig about Kehaar--("That white bird you were talking to this morning...").

I want to make a pic of Woundwort with both eyes intact, just for fun, so should I color them pale blue or dark green?

Well, Woundwort wasn't originally from the warren that eventually became Efrafa, and there's no mention of him mating with any other rabbits, so it would make sense that his eyes were a different shade than most of the Efrafan stock. ;)

In the series you see loads of flashbacks of 'young woundwort'

In the series he came from 'Darkhaven' warren and his warren was burnt down. His dad was the rah and he got killed, his mum was killed by a weasel while escaping the fire. Then he was caught by people and kept in a cage...

And thats it... He didn't seem to have any scars or scratches or anything then...

It's not my fault, said the scorpion, it's my nature.

I never really thought of that, I always thought he had a wounded eye in the book but now I think back on it it was never mentioned  I'd reccomend you draw them green, it seems a more evil colour than blue to me. Or mabye just for fun you could do both one green one blue, but I wouldn't encourage it :)

I guess it was just a simple mistake on the part of the animators, then. That's quite common in animated films, I see these sort of things all the time, where an eye is the wrong color, shadows aren't cast the way the light is shining down, etc. It's kind of fun to point out these things, which don't hurt my liking of the films at all. Even animators can't be expected to do everything perfect all the time, especially since each character usually has multiple animators.

LOL, Hombeer, an odd-eyed rabbit! :P Ever hear of odd-eyed cats, where each eye is a different color? I knew a cat like that once. They're pretty neat.

It wouldn't take much to do it--intentionally...you can buy contacts that can do anything from changing iris color, or making it appear you have cat-like eyes. I've seen someone with those cat eye things and it was....scary.

Nono, the ones I see on people don't have contacts, I know them personally. For example, ones grey the others green, not too much difference, but noticable.

Oh, I don't think I've ever seen that where it wasn't intentional. Heh, I wonder why that happens....

I love those weird contacts, but I bet they're expensive. I can't wear contacts anyway, because of the shape of my eyes, which sucks since I have to clean my glasses about a million times a day, and even then I can never get rid of every smudge and speck.

It would be nice to be able to walk in the rain without splattering drops all over my glasses and obstructing my already poor vision. :P

I don't care about the rain on my glasses...you just wipe it off. I'd actually have a hard time with contacts with my bad allergies since I wouldn't be able to rub my eyes. So, contacts will never be for me either.

Any contacts are expensive, whether they make your eyes look like something they're not or just normal ones.

Yeh, my older brother wears contacts, so I know they're pretty expensive. I'd just think that ones for cosmetic appearances would cost even more, since they're 'something extra.'
