This is the best image I have where you can see both of Woundwort's eyes. I thought I had a better one online but I guess I don't. Heh...

Direct linking doesn't seem to work with Freewebs, so I'll just post a link to the characters page. Scroll down until you see General Woundwort's description: WD Characters

Actually, I do have a good pic of Woundwort from the front...it's the one I used on my character info page. :P Just realized I had it.

Off-topic: I don't wear glasses or contacts

On-topic: huh, that's funny I'd always been under the impression that the generals eyes were different even though I'd never seen the movie. Hmmm... maybe I'd better do some research!

Well, his eyes are only different in the movie, likely to make him more creepy looking. In the book, there is no reference to him having an injured left eye, so I assume his eyes are both fine.

Oh, that pic reminded me of something else I'd been wanting to ask: why does Woundwort have so many pairs of incisors?

I'm pretty sure you're right...even Campion didn't have extra teeth and he gave a lot of sly grins. Didn't really work though.

In both the theatrical film and the television series, General Woundwort's left eye was injured.  In the film it never says how his eye was injured, but I don't know about the series.  Does the series ever elaborate on this?

No, but there is a bit from the first chapter of "General Woundwort" that may explain how this happened.

"After a few days' wandering, he came upon a small warren and, snarling and clawing, forced them to except him. Soon, he had become Chirf Rabbit, having killed both the previous chief and a rival named Fiorin."

After all, he is a very aggressive rabbit, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him with a couple of combat scars from the past.

So, was the one bad eye simply incorporated into his character design for the film and series to make him look more frightening?

Most definitely. ; )
