2000 Fans - Full House

Match One:
Super Orange Panda [8'32" Pandasault] Tornado JINTEI
- This was an energetic and fun opener, with Super Orange Panda warming the crowd up with his comedic antics, before he and JINTEI settled into a spotfest sprint. Both men have good workrate, which they showed here with plenty of high-flying bumps. After JINTEI missed with his Force 1 Tornado (corkscrew somersault senton), Panda hit him with an Ace Crusher, then went to the top rope and nailed the Pandasault (a simple moonsault) for the 1-2-3.

Match Two:
Shoji Tamura{x} & Bombay Kaijin [15'54" Rolling kouppo kick] Hasselhoff SE{o} & British Steel
- Tamura and Kaijin make quite a formidable combination, if this match is anything to go by. Sure, their opponents weren't exactly world beaters, but Tamura and Kaijin still showed enough to impress the crowd. Highlights included Kaijin trapping Steel in his ringpost jujigatame, and a doubleteam move that saw Tamura hit Hasselhoff with his patented palmthrust to the groin from a splits position, which sent Hasselhoff staggering back into a bridged Dragon suplex from Kaijin, for a very close nearfall.
The end came with Hasselhoff in the ring alone with Tamura and Kaijin, and starting to come back, until Kaijin blasted him in the face with blue mist, and Tamura finished him off with a _stiff_ rolling kouppo kick for the 3-count.

Match Three:
Griffin James{x}, Kurogama & El Hijo del Super Macho[ILL] [8'31" Yakuza kick] Apollo Kid III, Kyuki Shonjo{o} & Norihiko Miura
- This match was a real mixed bag. James and Miura were great, Kurogama stunk up the ring, Shonjo did quite good for a green rookie, and Apollo and EHdSM were average, both blowing quite simple spots.
The bulk of the match saw Apollo, Shonjo and Miura isolate EHdSM, who did his best impression of el face del perilo. The pre-requisite hot tag came about halfway through the match, and gave James the opportunity to have some fun, decking all three of his opponents with dem 'bows. The match broke down and went into a series of hot nearfalls, Miura almost getting the victory after hitting Kurogama with an overhead Uranage suplex, which the grappling monk calls "Lesson Learned", only for James to make the save. James won the match for his team after a pair of bone-crunching Yakuza kicks on the rookie Shonjo.

Match Four:
Darkness Kitty!{x} & Nobutaka Takase [13'16" Cat Nap] Jeff Kujawa[Free] & Kotaro Shimita{o}
- Two thirds of the Trinity X champions faced off against former RCW superstar Kujawa, and Shimita, who has been troubled by injury lately. Kujawa looked a little rusty, probably due to a lack of ringtime in recent months, while Shimita is clearly wrestling hurt, and it showed.
The best sequences came when Kitty! and Kujawa were in the ring together. The fans love Kitty!'s weird gimmick, and he's quickly establishing himself as one of the premier junior-heavyweights in the world, while Kujawa is a former GLCW World champion and was consistently one of the top two or three JHWs in the US over the past couple of years. Their first few exchanges consisted mostly of mat wrestling and suplexes, but late in the match Kitty! connected with one of his crowd-favourite spots, the kip up into a side Russian legsweep, and then went for a casual pinfall, one foot on Kujawa's chest. Kujawa kicked out and then became enraged, going on a rampage against him and Takase.
However, Kujawa's over-eagerness got the better of him, as Kitty! and Takase hit him with a spike powerbomb. Shimita made the save, but then fell victim to a lungblower from Kitty!, who then finished him off with the Cat Nap.

Match Five - Main Event:
Eric Dane[NEXT] & Tate Monroe[HVW]{x} [20'23" Dragon sleeper/chickenwing combo] Usagi Yoshida & Crazy Bastard Cop{o}
- Two nights ago touring Americans Dane and Monroe defeated Griffin James and Crazy Bastard Cop, and tonight they did it again, this time scoring an impressive victory over CBC and his other regular teammate, Independent Super-Lightweight champion Usagi Yoshida.
Yoshida showed once again why he's the ace of Dream Fujin, as he had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand with his antics (blowing bubbles in his bubblegum, bouncing around with a big grin on his face) and regular spots (crotch claw, multiple-revolution corbata).
Monroe also impressed for the second straight match, as he used a gameplan that involved mat wrestling and plenty of submission holds. In particular he concentrated on the neck of CBC.
Dane seemed lethargic and unlike Monroe does not seem to have acclimatised instantly to the differences between US wrestling and puroresu.
Crazy Bastard Cop took a lot of punishment from Monroe and Dane, and didn't really get a chance to bring out his familiar comedy tactics, other than a brief chase around the ring with his trusty hammer while yelling "SUMASSHU".
Monroe came close to getting what would have been a landmark fall on Yoshida a couple of times, the closest coming when he locked the champ in an STF in the middle of the ring. Yoshida managed to make the ropes after a good half minute of agony. Later, Yoshida very nearly finished off Yates after hitting him with a tombstone piledriver, but Monroe made the save.
The end came with CBC in bad shape after taking a lot of punishment to the neck from Monroe, and alone in the ring with both opponents. Dane nailed CBC with a hard lariat, and covered, but CBC kicked out. Yoshida came in, but Dane took him down with a running elbowshot, as Monroe locked CBC in a dragon sleeper with chickenwing hold, before adding a bodyscissors. CBC had nowhere to go, and with an agonised neck, he soon tapped out.
Afterwards, all four men shook hands, as the fans showed their appreciation.

Overall comments:
We're only two matches into the Fubuki Heatwave tour, and things are starting to fall into place. Some fans were surprised to see the Americans Dane and Monroe in the main event, but Billy Thomas is clearly not afraid of pushing the touring wrestlers. Monroe in particular is making the most of his time in Dream Fujin - getting two falls on a regular upper-carder like Crazy Bastard Cop in his first two matches is certainly notable.
