News Central Friday February 17, 2006 ======================== # Griffin James was furious after the show at Hakodate Citzen Gymnasium, requiring several officials to calm him down. He remarked that the unity in Dream Fujin was "fucking bullshit" and that he expected more out of everyone in the organization. James refused to talk to the press in detail, but Miss Cherry had this to say: "It's disgusting- a bunch of lowlifes roll up and outnumber our boys, and our faithful folks _let_ goddamned HERO Ishikawa get his grubby mitts on Usagi Yoshida's title. Trainers and seconds should have done _everything possible_ to keep that from happening. As a fan of the sport, it makes me sick." When asked by a random member of the media about her current involvement with Griffin James, she had this to say: "Griffin and I are a team- we've been that before Dream Fujin was a twinkle in Billy Thomas' eye. We've gone far beyond a business relationship... it's personal now, and you know what? That's more than fine with me. I don't have any reason to be selfish about this industry... I'll let Griffin lose his hair over random shenanigans. Me? I'm just happy to be involved." # Responding to the comments of Griffin James and Miss Cherry, Billy Thomas said he would not be stopping the former RCW owner from managing the affairs of one of his biggest drawcards, despite the patchy past between himself and Cherry. "There was a time when I hated that woman. I was happy running my little promotion down in Australia, and she walked in with her fat checkbook and bought me out, using SPW's talent base to help reopen River City Wrestling. After that happened I went through some bad times, and I blamed Cherry for all of them, but things have worked out pretty good for me. Hell, I guess I should thank her in a way, because if things hadn't worked out the way they did, Dream Fujin wouldn't be around." # Elvis Sunday, currently touring with Dream Fujin by way of NEXT was in Sapporo’s famous underground shopping mall today for a live TV taping of the IRON CHEF. Elvis, dressed casually in jeans and an open white Hawaiian shirt took on the IRON CHEF in creating Volcano Spiced Huli, a chicken dish of sorts. Sunday was in high spirits as he chatted to the compere Kaga Takeshi about the current Dream Fujin tour. In between breading the chicken brochettes, Elvis spoke on Dream Fujin, heavily hyping Heavens On Fire and promising the fans that he plans on ‘rocking the building’ when he teams alongside Tate Monroe later tonight. He was also quick to talk about the Super Orange Panda trial series claiming that ‘Only the orangest will survive!’ Elvis was quick to praise the Japanese fans and spoke highly of the warm welcome they had afforded him in his Dream Fujin debut. He cited his reasons for coming to Dream Fujin as ‘to experience, enjoy and experience.’ Sadly, Elvis’ Volcano Spiced Huli didn’t wow the judging panel as much as Happiness, but he was more than happy to stick around after the show and speak [slowly] to the fans. © Dream Fujin, 2006. |
