News Central Monday February 20, 2006 ======================== # Dream Fujin owner Billy Thomas today issued a challenge to Pro Wrestling MEGA. "If Yasuda and his boys are up to it, I think they should turn up at Hakata Star Lane next Saturday for the tour-ending show, and we'll have ourselves a little five match challenge. Five of their best against five of ours in five singles matches. Let's find out once and for all who's the best." Thomas said he would expect to hear Yasuda's answer on tonight's show, in which Dream Fujin would be facing Pro Wrestling MEGA in a 10-man tagteam match. # "Prince of Torment" Shoji Tamura, though given the night off on Sunday the 19th, was in attendance and was swarmed by the press as he left the Higashi-Murayama Sports Center. Reporters were fearless in asking Tamura why he held Crazy Bastard Cop in his dangerous submission hold so long after the bell rang signalling his victory the other night, eager to know his thoughts on the injury CBC sustained as a result. One particularly brash reporter screamed in Tamura's face, furious that his favorite hammer-wielding grappler will now be sidelined for at least a few weeks. Shoji smirked and brushed the attention aside as he walked toward his vehicle. Finally, as the 18-year-old had one foot in the door of his Honda, one journalists voice clearly rose above the others asking... "Aren't you afraid karma will come to bite you in the ass one of these days? When will you finally grow up?" Shoji replied, "I don't have to answer to anyone. Especially you. It is simple. I did what I did because I wanted to. Anyone who has a problem with it can challenge me in the ring. CBC was apparently not up to that task. Until Mr. Thomas suspends me, I will continue to do as I please. If he has no problems with my actions, neither should you. That is all." When asked for his thoughts, Dream Fujin owner Billly Thomas said only two words... "No comment." # Norihiko Miura recently sat down with interviewer Rei Motoya, and calmly discussed certain things such as the string of partners he's had throughout the tour, his part in the war against Pro Wrestling MEGA, and his continuing progress through the ranks of Dream Fujin. - On his feud with Kurogama during the Fubuki Heatwave tour: "Kurogama was a rather unique opponent; I didn't know what to make of this fellow in a bear mask, and while I could sense his potential as a wrestler, he's still very green. I hope his run under a new moniker helps to bring him success, but I also hope that he will understand the relevance of Zen. I want to start my own group of Zen followers, and should he ever decide to harness it so that it works in his favor as opposed to against him, all he needs to do is ask." - On the war with Pro Wrestling MEGA: "Engaging in acts of wanton violence is something I do not encourage. The battles with Pro Wrestling MEGA are escalating in tension, and I fear of what might happen should they reach a climax. That's why I joined Fujingun's cause, for the purpose of putting this fire out before it rages and we all get engulfed in a state of war. I will continue to side with Fujingun, however, simply because it is absolutely necessary that these invaders be extinguished." - On his unique approach to wrestling: "I was somewhat surprised when I was told that the majority of the wrestlers here were high-flyers. I've spent my whole life training in amateur wrestling before I joined the puroresu circuit, and I think it shows when I wrestle. Surely, it must surprise some people when they're trapped with no place to go in my Samsara! I've learned a few things about competing with the smaller, more aerodynamic wrestlers here, and it's made my technique more effective. I hope to take on one of the more mat-based competitors, such as Mr. Monroe, in a match of skill to see who the better wrestler is, someday. Until then, I'll make sure to surprise my smaller, faster competition with my technique." - On the numerous partners Miura has had through out the current tour: "*laughs* I was surprised myself! I've teamed with some very reputable men such as Mr. James and Mr. Monroe, some who, while noble in spirit, are somewhat disconnected with the Righteous Path, such as Mr. Yoshida, and some who still require some time and patience to improve themselves, such as Mr. Shonjo and Mr. Namiguchi. This tour helped to flesh out relations with my fellow competitors in Dream Fujin, and maybe once this war is over, find some partners to compete for the Trinity-X titles with... or even better, some willing recruits to join the cause of spreading Wrestling Zen. As long as there are men who show great potential to the cause and as long as there are challenges to conquer, I will remain alert throughout my time here in Dream Fujin. For now, though, I'm content biding my time and dealing with whatever is given to me." After his interview, Miura humbly bowed to Ms. Motoya, and returned to his chamber to meditate. © Dream Fujin, 2006. |
