OK, it's been a week since the final hour of Gold Rush came out, so now is as good a time as any to discuss what went down.

Going over this match by match:

* Tumaffi vs. Quesada: Really good opener. Match went about as expected but certainly did its job to establish Tumaffi as a monster on the warpath.

* Browne vs. Grace vs. Hernandez: Three-ways can sometimes be tough to write, this one was decent.

* Prophets vs. Romanis: Well-written tag team match, it just remains to be seen where things go with the angle near the end of the match.

* Irons vs. DaMann: Solid match and I'll be interested to see where each guy goes from here.

* Sabbath vs. Frost: Another solid match, we'll see where these guys go from here as well.

* Douglas/DeSade vs. Keening vs. Extreme: One of the strongest matches on the card. The storyline was effectively told and really added a lot to the ongoing Keening/Extreme feud.

* Martin vs. Greene: Loved this match, not just because my wrestler was involved. Really had that feel of two men who just hated each other's guts and wanted to beat the daylights out of each other.

* Eight-man tag warfare: A marathon of a match but well written. So how many L. Dan Dees were really running around the UWF in the first place?

* Augy vs. Legba: I won't say anything except I hope people liked it. ;)

* Harper vs. Tetreault: And so many months of storyline advancement led to this. I liked how the match came off and now we'll be spurning a new storyline in the months to come.

* HoD vs. SoC: Descent Into Hell is a pretty wild match, is it not? Really good writing here and you could feel the hatred between the teams.

* Martinez vs. Daniels: People may have seen the finish coming, and it was pretty tough to top some of the other matches, but I thought it came off well. The storyline possibilities coming out of this match are endless.

Overall, I thought it was a very good PPV... I still think Gold Rush 2004 was a better overall show, but this one definitely is a close second in ranking the GRs.
