=====================

# Griffin James broke his recent silence to Dream Fujin staff as well as Japanese press with these comments:

-On the current tour:

"My bad about being so quiet! I have a gameplan, and I know what I have to do... so why say anything, you know? It kinda takes the surprise out of things... anyway, it's business as usual for me. I have things to do, and I plan to do them and do them fully. Nuff said."

-On his match against Shoji Tamura for the Independent Super-Lightweight Title:

"This is where everything comes full circle. Tamura hurt my friend, so I'm going to hurt him. I'm going to live up to everyone's expectations, and finally get what I've wanted for so long... I won't rest until Tamura's defeated. That's all there is to it."

-On Tate Monroe:

"You know, Tate's always had a problem with me, I think. When he first got here, he remarked that facing me was something what he "expected"- so he's always thought of himself being at a higher level than me, which is cool. I mean, honestly- whatever gets broheim up in the morning is fine with me. I really, truly, absolutely don't have a problem with whatever he says... it's more than obvious that he has his own shit to work out here in Dream Fujin just like I did, and if he feels slighted, then he's gotta step up. The same thing happened to me, and well... shit happens, what can I say? Either he quits his sniping and puts in some work, or he acts like we're back in the States and continues being a bitch. It's his call."

-On the current controversy surrounding him in Dream Fujin:

"Cherry isn't pregnant. We're two safe kids in a safe pod... what? Oh, here. In Dream Fujin. Uh... there's controversy about me wrestling for a title? Ha! Well, it's like this: I don't care. Billy Thomas made a decision, and if it wasn't me in the match, it'd be business as usual... however, it is _me_ in the match, so it's still... business as usual. Get the picture? I'm not fazed by any of this. It's go time. I'll show everyone what I'm made of."

# Tate Monroe was in good spirits following his impressive performance at Toyama Techno Hall, closing in on the halfway point in his self-appointed quest to remain undefeated this tour. He spoke briefly to journalists after the show:

"That's three down, four still to go. And one point, I think, well proven tonight. Things are progressing well, I've faced both contenders to the Independent Lightweight Title now, and I've emerged victorious in both cases. That was key for me, that proves I won't take second place to anyone in this company, and I think tonight especially, if not of the past two tours then certainly this current tour, was probably my best performance in a Dream Fujin ring. I feel like I'm coming into peak form here at just the right time, and I see no reason why that shouldn't continue for the remainder of the tour."

- When asked about his earlier comments regarding Griffin James being a "glory hound," and whether he still stood by those words, Monroe had this to say:

"Stand by them? Of course. Why wouldn't I? I'm not one of those wrestlers who runs their mouth simply because I like the sound of my own voice. When I say something, I mean it, and I stand by it until proven wrong -- something that certainly didn't occur tonight."

- And on his upcoming matches, did he forsee any major challenges or difficulties in the second half of the tour?

"There are always challenges, you just have to be prepared for them. I certainly won't be taking any opponent lightly, especially with a defense of our Trinity X titles coming up. Panda and Kitty I'm sure also will provide an especially stiff test... and believe me, that's not a sentence _I_ ever expected to hear myself say [laughs]... but really it doesn't matter who I face right now -- I have a goal that I'm firmly focused on, and trust me, I'm not about to let ANYONE get in the way of that."
