News Central Saturday April 8, 2006 ===================== # Sensation has swept through the Japanese wrestling scene just hours prior to tonight's taping of Dream Fujin's "Super Energy Battle TV" in Osaka. Dream Fujin owner Billy Thomas called reporters into a back room at the Osaka Castle Hall and made a shock announcement - that Dream Fujin has cut all ties with the NEO-International company. Thomas at first seemed calm about the decision. "When I first signed on for Dream Fujin to become a part of NEO-International, I thought it would be beneficial to both organisations. But it hasn't turned out that way. The cost of sending our wrestlers to America to compete in NEO-I events is prohibitive, and I've come to believe that there is honestly a racist bias in America towards Japanese wrestlers." Thomas became visibly angry as he continued, breaking into English, which is very unusual for the fluent speaker of Japanese. "A couple of days ago I read comments made by some fuckwad on the NEO-International board, criticising the way I do business. Well, now that we're done with NEO-I, I can speak my mind. To that board member, I say... go fuck yourself. You don't even run a wrestling organisation, and you've never run a successful company in your life, yet you're one of the most powerful people on that board. Maybe you should go back to licking asses so that your buddy Johnny Malibu can keep getting the golden boy treatment, instead of worrying about my shit." Thomas went on to say that he was confident in the future of Dream Fujin, and that the break from NEO-International would be beneficial for the company. "Aside from that one cocksucker board member, I wish NEO-I and Wallace Storm all the best for the future. They're a fine company overall... but just not the right fit for Dream Fujin." He said those wrestlers who compete in both NEO-I and Dream Fujin (currently tourists Elvis Sunday and Tyrone Walker) would not be disadvantaged by this decision, and would be invited to continue working with Dream Fujin. © Dream Fujin, 2006. |
