# This past Sunday proved to be anything but a day of rest for Tate Monroe, the captain of the Trinity X champions finding himself much in demand following the exciting close to the Copa Del Atomicos tournament the previous night. As well as giving interviews to several wrestling magazines and websites, he also spent time posing for various promotional shots featuring the tournament trophy, his Trinity X title, and in some instances also the Submission title he’d brought with him from Huron Valley Wrestling in the U.S.

- The Dream Fujin website of course had their own correspondent on hand to get these comments from the number one contender to the Independent Super-Lightweight title. First his thoughts on the Copa Del Atomicos:

“It’s definitely been an interesting tournament, to say the least. Certainly an exhilarating one in the final stages, and on a personal level it was obviously very satisfying to gain the win for my team with what I feel was my best individual performance since coming to Dream Fujin. I thought for the most part all three teams performed well, but really we showed why we were the obvious favorites going into this tournament, despite any “homefield advantage” and other forces that might have been working against us.

In fact the only negative for me was that we NEVER should have allowed it to go to a fourth match. As exciting a match as that turned out to be, the tournament was ours to win when we faced the Mexican team. Unfortunately we took our eye off the ball, and in the process underlined once again that a team is only ever as strong as its weakest link.”

- With that loaded comment obviously being aimed at Griffin James, it’s clear that the war of words between these two men, who are firmly set on a collision course as we head towards the tour-ending Super Energy Battle TV taping, is only just beginning. The often outspoken Monroe wasn’t shy about adding further fuel to the growing fire.

“You know, I’d just like to make a comment regarding this absurd idea that it’s Griffin James, and not myself, that’s been the ‘bigger man’ when it comes to the two of us. First of all let me remind you it wasn’t ME who threw a punch at my own partner during a match. It wasn’t ME that kicked my own partner in the face, and then tried to pass it off as an ‘accident.’ But yet now HE’s the one who gets to turn the other cheek and be the ‘bigger man?’ No, I don’t think so. The truth is, Griffin James right now is trying anything he can to paint me as the “bad guy” here, most likely out of some misguided notion that it will protect his coveted position as the darling of the fans. Well I promise you it’s not going to work. The fans respect me, they support me, and they’re going to support me even more when I make the ‘great’ Griffin James tap out in the middle of the ring, and become the new Independent Super-Lightweight Champion. And who knows, perhaps then we’ll truly see who the ‘bigger man’ is.”

# Silent for the majority of the tour in Mexico, Norihiko Miura was caught by Dream Fujin camera crews meditating at the ruins of an Aztecan temple in Mexico City. He seemed a little uneasy due to recent events, such as his disappointing performance in the Copa del Atomicos and his frustrations with upstart Yoshino Nanami. When the camera crews approached him, he got up and stomped his feet before gazing into the camera with a dead stare.

"The Cup tournament is over, but that only means karma will turn around and bring destruction to my foes. Yoshino Nanami may have put our little rivalry to the side for one week, but now, there's nothing that can save him from the wrath of the Bodhisattvas. I will unleash hell upon him the next time we face off in the ring."

On the outcome of the Copa del Atomicos:

"I was EXTREMELY disappointed that my own shortcoming ended my stay within the match. However, that's in the past, and cannot be helped. Even if Nanami-san had gone all the way and won the cup for Japan, I would have been disappointed in myself. However, all I can do is get over it and work on getting myself back to my usual strength, and bring a crushing blow to Nanami's ego. He even had the nerve to mimic my Satori finisher for his own purposes. HOW DARE HE..."

He then restrained himself before proceeding into a full torrent of rage.

"...for someone who's trying to become the future of puroresu, he's very careless when it comes to crossing the likes of Norihiko Miura. I cannot change what happened within the confines of the tournament, but I will alter the course of Nanami's career for quite some time. I will open his eyes with the move that he defiled for his own personal gain, and he WILL acheive enlightenment, the hard way."
