... of the previous topic, since that's gotten to be more of a who's interested type of thing [which is good, good to know that people are willing]. Now on the mechanics of it all, here's what I was thinking: - First round matches would half be summarized in detail [think... I think how Pete K did PWW matches], and half written out [i.e the main event of the card and the second best matchup]. The two written matches and the length/detail of the matches would depend upon the participation of the handlers of said matches... So if it's a field of eight, two of four matches will be written. Field of sixteen? Well... I could maybe try to write three, but that would be a big limit for me. I'd rather get this off, out, and enjoy it than try to burn myself with a bunch of matches [which is why I'm really leaning towards just a field of eight] - Semi-finals would both be written out as well as the final match [if it's a 16 field, though, it would be two written/two summed quarterfinals, one written/one summed semi finals, and a written finals]. - Considering I'm leaning towards a field of eight, I'd probably do this over the course of two shows: first show the quarters; last show the semis & finals. I was considering putting the finals on a show onto themselves with a special "dream match", but... well, that would take away from the finals! - All the matches will take place in Philadelphia, with the finals taking place somewhere special, I guess. Venues? Probably the National Guard Armory on Roosevelt Blvd & Southampton Rd, the Murphy Rec Center on 4th and Shunk, and possibly somewhere special if the planning and execution for this thing comes out right and on time [but I won't tell what that is!] - The commentators will be TIW's own Lenny Zefring and K.R. Douglas. Not that I can really write either, but rather just that... I don't know, rather use my own guys. And that's all I can think of right now. Note that if I get more than eight - and I stick to a field of eight - I will be selective in who I'd want in [so best app and my opinion of the character's past work - if any; if the guy is a new guy, make sure to put in some sort of sample RP or something of that sort]. |
