- The opening match was announced as "Dark versus Light Battle", and was a complete comedyfest. For the first time a Monkey Pro wrestler appeared in a Dream Fujin ring, their representative being a wrestler in a monk's outfit, over a gorilla suit. Monkey Monk did lots of praying throughout the match, to go with his gimmick, but every now and then would revert to primate form, jumping around and making monkey sounds. Panda, who hasn't been much for the comedy since turning to the dark side and joining 666, was in vintage form, producing a banana at one point and throwing it into the middle of the ring. When Monkey Monk sat down and began eating it, Panda climbed onto the top turnbuckle and went to sleep... his classic "Panda Suh-reepy" spot! He also did a spot where he hit Monkey Monk with hiptoss after hiptoss, working into such a frenzy that he accidentally hiptossed referee Uncle Dai! Dai was angry at this, admonishing Panda and smacking him on the head, Panda looking very sorry as he hung his head in shame. The end came with Monkey Monk going for a praying rope walk, but ending up crotching himself, so Panda rolled him up with La Majistral Cradle, getting the 123!

- Party Animal Delta picked up his biggest win yet in Dream Fujin, as his team downed the in-form MEGA Gurentai. The match was pure lucha libre, with triple planchas from the faces, and plenty of other triple and double-team moves. MEGA Gurentai had one cool spot where Thrillblade catapulted Delta into a forearm from Apollo Kid, who was on the apron, Delta falling back onto Wasai's knees, and a split second later HERO slingshotted in with a senton onto him! The finish was a real clusterfuck, with a series of nearfalls, before PAD capitalised on a mistake by MEGA Gurentai, where Thrillblade accidentally lariated Apollo Kid, PAD dropkicked Thrillblade from the ring, ducking a punch from Apollo Kid, before drilling him with the move he calls The Party Crasher, getting the 3-count. After the bell, MEGA Gurentai took their frustrations out on the face team, beating them down viciously.

- The Metal Gods were once again too strong for their rookie opponents, Ultraman Zeta and Steel Cougar.

- The 666 duo of MIURA and Ice Dragon faced the Fujingun team of Yoshino Nanami and Hasselhoff SE in a hard-fought tagteam encounter. The result was a definite surprise, as the promising youngster Nanami fell victim to Ice Dragon. However, it didn't come without controversy, Darkness Kitty! making his presence known several times during the match. After the match Kitty! got on the microphone and once again laid claim to the Trinity X titles, saying his team would easily win the upcoming tournament.

- The main event held plenty of intrigue. Commissioner Kazushima Yakamotu forced Monroe, James and Sunday - the three men who will fight for the Independent Super-Lightweight belt tomorrow night in Sapporo - to team up and take on Special X. Neither James nor Sunday looked happy about having to team with Monroe, and their team threatened to explode before the opening bell had even sounded.

Whereas Special X showed great cohesion throughout the match, their opponents were never a "team" as such. There were blind tags, hateful looks, and even a refusal to tag from Monroe. Special X capitalised on all of that, using quick tags and teamwork to isolate the Flyin' Hawaiian and work him over. The hot tag to James eventually happened, and he and Sunday battled back against Special X. They were fighting two-against-three though, with Monroe standing on the apron and not making a move to join in, and this allowed Special X to regain the advantage. That was when Monroe showed his true colours, dropping to the floor and grabbing his Independent belt, then leaving! The fans booed this show of cowardice, as James and Sunday were left to the wolves, so to speak.

A few moments later Ryoga Miike came down to the ring, and tried to take Monroe's place, but Uncle Dai informed him that it couldn't happen, and James and Sunday would have to fight shorthanded. Miike, the former Crazy Bastard Cop, stayed at ringside to cheer on his friend.

The tecnico duo fought hard, gaining the advantage a couple of times, and coming close to winning the match when James hit Kanoji with a Yakuza kick and Sunday dropped Yoshida with the Hawaiian Hangover (tornado guillotine facedriver), only for Mifune to make the save. It was a no-win situation for James and Sunday, but they refused to give up in the face of adversity.

The last couple of minutes went like this: James dropped Mifune with a backdrop suplex for 2. He then hit a roaring elbow, but missed a Yakuza kick, taking a spinning backfist! Mifune dropped James with a belly to belly suplex, before flattening him with a running shotei for 2. Sunday came back in, taking Mifune down with a springboard leg lariat. He signalled for the Sunday Shining (shooting star legdrop) and went up top, but Yoshida grabbed him with the crotchclaw, then pushed him out to the floor! Kanoji and Mifune hit James with a butterfly suplex-powerbomb combo, dragging him back up so that Yoshida could nail him with the move he calls the Rabbit in the Moon, a 3/4 facelock bulldog from a over-the-shoulder backbreaker lift, covering for the 3-count.

Special X celebrated, posing for the cameras, as Miike helped James from the ring.
