====================

# After emerging (escaping?) from his first title defense with his grip on the Independent Super-Lightweight Championship still intact, Tate Monroe finally broke the silence that he'd maintained since the opening day of the tour. He took very few questions from the gathered press, but certainly appeared to have a great deal on his mind and was far from shy in expressing it:

"Take a look. Take a look at this title belt on my shoulder, and ask me again where I've been, why I've been so quiet. And I'll answer you... everything that's been said about me, every slur, every insult, every claim and every promise of what was going to happen in this match tonight... I answered them all in fifteen minutes. I answered them all inside that ring. I answered them all by raising this title belt... MY title belt... over my head in victory tonight.

Griffin James wants to claim this as _HIS_ title? Disproven. False. Absolutely false. I beat him once, fair and square, to take this belt from him. Tonight I beat him again. And if he's half the man he claims to be, and even that figure I'd tend to doubt, he'll admit just that -- that he was outwrestled, outthought, and outmaneuvered by a man who was simply better than him.

But of course he won't. Instead he'll puff out his chest with his "Fujingun pride" and he'll vow to do whatever it takes to unseat the "undeserving" champion. He'll continue his campaign to turn the fans against me, to smear my good name when all I've ever done is stood up for and embodied every quality that they should look for in their champion. He'll keep trying to turn this into some battlefield, with him as the proud general wrapped in the Dream Fujin flag, and people like me as, what? The enemy? A threat to the very fabric of this company?

No, I'll tell you right now, the only threat to this company is him. Griffin James. He paints himself as such a hero to the fans, the man to carry this company on his back. But all the while he's working behind the backs of every fan and every wrestler in this place, to make sure he secures what he really wants. And that's for this company to keep bending over backwards and serving up everything to him on the same silver platter they've held out since the day he walked through the door.

You know, I've held my tongue for a long time now, not just this past week but for months, out of respect for this company. But I can't stand by any longer and watch while this man wraps the whole of Dream Fujin around his finger. It's bad enough that he gets title matches without having to earn them. It's bad enough that the only way to get a main event around here is to share that spotlight with him and his ever-inflating ego. It's bad enough that he's allowed to ASSAULT me, _UNPROVOKED_, with a gang of his Fujingun thugs cheering him on, and get away with it unpunished. It's bad enough that he's able to MANIPULATE THIS COMPANY into tarnishing the tradition of its championship with the kind of match that served no purpose but to stack the odds against me and ensure he got his precious rematch.

But do you know what the worst thing is? I'll tell you. I have never lost a championship defense in my life, yet now I suddenly find myself without one of my title belts. And why is that? Because of jealously. The jealously of Griffin James, because don't tell me he didn't have a part in this, some sly whisper in the ear of Mr. Yakamotu or Mr. Thomas, just because I accomplished something he wasn't able to. And of course the jealousy of Elvis Sunday, a man who if it wasn't for me would never have even held the Trinity X championship.

Elvis, you know I'm right. I won those titles. I defended those titles. I kept those titles around our waists. Not you, not even Tyrone. ME. But despite all that, I still respected you for the part you played in making us a successful team. And this... THIS is how you repay me? As soon as you get your first sniff of the Super-Lightweight title, you're going to turn on me, and stab ME in the back? Cost ME my Trinity X title just because you don't have the maturity or respect to coexist with the man who gave you the only success you'll ever achieve. Well I hope you're happy, Elvis, because you just gave up the highest point you'll ever reach in this company, and all for nothing but a Textbook Finish and a three-count.

But I'm glad. In a way, I'm glad. Glad that I don't have to carry carry Elvis Sunday any longer. Glad that I don't have to put up with the sniping and threats of Griffin James, Usagi Yoshida, or anyone else that doubted my right to carry this belt. Because I proved it, tonight I proved in front of everyone that I do deserve it. And tonight, I also proved that if this company, even its misguided Fujingun, needs a leader to look to, then it's certainly not Griffin James. No, instead look to a man that truly embodies everything that Dream Fujin stands for. Look to your champion.

Look to ME."

# Fujin Dojo graduate Ketsu Tonaga was in a pensive but determined mood as he awaited the final match of his thus far unsuccessful trial series:

"I thought I'd turned the corner with the draw against Super Darkness Panda, but obviously not. It was nothing but a false dawn and we all know I can't afford any more of those. Whoever my opponent is for this final match, it doesn't matter. I have to be stronger, dig deeper, and fight harder than I ever have before. No more failures, I have to win."

# Tommy Kamoura was raring to go at the Chitose Sports Center this afternoon, in anticipation of the Trinity X tournament scheduled to occur later tonight. Teaming with Elvis Sunday, of course a recent holder of Dream Fujin's trios titles, and Kohei Aoki, they are scheduled to take on the dangerous 666, led of course by Darkness Kitty!

"Yes, I can't wait. I have two great partners and one big chance to grab some gold in my very first tour, and it would be brilliant for me to win those titles right here tonight."

- What did he think of their chances in the first round, against a unit like 666?: "It's gonna be really tough. Those guys are a bit mental but they're very good and I know it's not gonna be a piece of cake. But we can do it. Elvis has done it before so he knows what it takes, so it's up to us to show we're not a team to overlook."
