News Central Wednesday June 28, 2006 ==================== # Questions have been running rampant lately regarding Yoshino Nanami. "The Blinding Storm" has seen his work ethic drop off, losses in every major match he's been involved in so far, and his willingness to accept interviews dwindling to nothing. However, PURO-PRO PRESS recently caught up with the young lion to see if they could get behind the veil and find out what's going on in Nanami's life. - On his losing streak on this tour... "I've got a lot on my mind. My father has been checked into rehab... again. My partners have been lackluster at best... again. And the emphasis of every show has been on Griffin James and how he was supposedly 'robbed' of the Independent Super-Lightweight title. I have no desire to wrestle at my best if the fans and promoters are more interested in some gaijin's cries of foul play. So what if I lose? Even if I win, I get no further here." - On why he has been turning down interviews... "Because every interviewer would have asked the same thing; what do I think of Griffin James getting screwed? I don't care about Griffin James' problems, and I will not comment on them. If that's the most worthwhile question they have to ask, I don't need their publicity." - Finally, on where he sees himself in Dream-Fujin, or even _if_ he sees himself in Dream-Fujin for the next tour... "I am obligated to compete for Dream-Fujin, so I will compete. I see myself partnered with the lowest dreck they can find, in their attempts to bury me and my popularity with the fans. I see myself doing what I'm paid to do, and getting no respect for it. But most of all, I see myself kicking Griffin James' teeth down his throat if he keeps up with his whining. I'm sick of that gaijin punk, and if no one else will do it, I will put him in his place." A serious attitude change for "The Blinding Storm", for sure. # Furious after his loss in the Trinity X Title tournament, Darkness Kitty! instantly regrouped. He opened with a tirade backstage, screaming behind a closed door at all three of his 666 team mates. Dream Fujin officials were staggered by the explosion of emotion from the usually stoic Kitty! but did not release any comments simply stating "The right men won that night." Later Darkness Kitty! held a special press conference, again another odd happening for the heartless cult favorite. He stood in front of a black and dripping 'blood' red 666 banner, Super Darkness Panda behind him, head bowed and arms crossed behind his back. He stared at the gathered reporters, silent, for several minutes bringing a palpable sense of unease to the happenings. It was then that he decided to "...reinvent those who have failed!" and brought out the new Ice Dragon, now christened Shadows. The former Ice Dragon was decked out in an all black outfit, similar to his costume. Not another color speckled the dark costume save for red eyes. Even his skin was darker, painted in a strange manner, as if he had been crolling in coal. "Shadows" moved slowly and deliberately, coming to stand beside his mentor and leader. "I have no heart and now neither does this man," stated Kitty! following up, "those who fail will no longer be their own man. They will be weapons at the hands of Him and directed through me. I will guide these three demons of hell and we shall ride into Dream Fujin and slay the angels! EVIL WILL REIGN AND DARKNESS SHALL FALL! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!" Kitty! laughed maniacally... suddenly stopping. He, along with Panda and Shadows turned, all attacking MIURA together, stomping him to unconciousness. Panda and Shadows dragged him away, Kitty! returning to the microphoned podium. "All who fail shall be reborn." # Does this mean we will see a reincarnation of MIURA? The former monk has not been overly impressive of late but under the guidance of the Dream Fujin veteran could he turn things around? # MEGA Gurentai, on the other hand and just as strangely, had little to say after their first round loss to Hasselhoff SE, Ultraman Zeta & Party Animal Delta. Thrillblade was very sullen, cheek bruised heavily as he left the locker room. Apollo Kid and HERO Ishikawa left together, Kid keeping his distance from the angered junior heavyweight legend. Ishikawa, normally a motormouth, said nothing, simply flipping the reporters the bird before leaving. Could yet another Dream Fujin stable be in trouble?! # Dream Fujin wrestlers Steel Cougar, Ultraman Zeta, British Steel and Maiden Japan have just finished competing in the latest RISE tour. All shows were at Tokyo FM Hall. Among the wrestlers the Dream Fujin representatives faced were a former Fujin Dojo graduate (Jin Ketsumo), a "space knight" (Galactic Knight Kage), a scientist/spy (DNAgent), a pretty boy male model (Bishonen), and a green rookie (Kiga Wakai). Results were: Sunday June 18 - Steel Cougar [Dream Fujin] & Ultraman Zeta [Dream Fujin] beat Bishonen & Kiga Wakai when Cougar pinned Wakai with a backslide (10'38") Tuesday June 20 - Galactic Knight Kage pinned Ultraman Zeta [Dream Fujin] with a sitout powerbomb (8'41") Sunday June 25 - Jin Ketsumo made Steel Cougar [Dream Fujin] submit to a jujigatame (7'06"), and the Metal Gods (British Steel & Maiden Japan) [Dream Fujin] beat Galaxy Force (DNAgent and Galactic Knight Kage) when Steel pinned Kage with a huracanrana (12'13"). © Dream Fujin, 2006. |
