News Central Monday July 10, 2006 ==================== # Ahead of tonight's tour opener in Sapporo, Dream Fujin commissioner Kazushima Yakamotu called a press conference at the venue, Sapporo Breweries Factory Hall. Speaking to a small gathering of reporters, Yakamotu spoke about the inaugural Dream World Tag League, which he described as an exciting tournament. He predicted that the competition for the Tag League Trophy would be fierce. Yakamotu then spoke about a new "title" that is being added to Dream Fujin. He said that on Wednesday July 19 a one-night, eight-man tournament will be held at Chitose Sports Center to find the very first holder of the Shirouto Cup. Shirouto translates as "novice", and Yakamotu said this new title would be for wrestlers who were still in their first year in the sport. Once a wrestler passed the one year mark, he would no longer be eligible to compete for the Shirouto Cup, and if champion, that person would be forced to relinquish it. The announced line-up for the first night tournament was: recent Fujin Dojo graduates Ketsu Tonaga, Ultraman Zeta, Steel Cougar and Shadows; more experienced wrestlers Kyuki Shonjo and Hasselhoff SE; RISE rookie Kochiro Miyake; and freelancer Kohei Aoki. Finally, Yakamotu made the official announcement of the Independent Super-Lightweight Championship match on this tour. On Monday July 17 at Zepp Sapporo, Tate Monroe will make his second title defence against... Darkness Kitty! A title match contract signing will be held in the coming days. # Immediately upon release of the blocks for the "Dream World Tag League '06" tour MEGA Gurentai was up in arms. "We get monkeys?! 666 has all their guys in it?! Some stupid Mexicans?! Shouldn't you assholes be sneaking into the US? What do we get?" commented HERO, emphasizing his point with a crotch chop. Accompanied by League partner Apollo Kid III and fellow MEGA Gurentai members Wasai Thrillblade and indy star (and non Dream Fujin'er) "812% Sex Machine" Ikuto Yone, he continued on his tirade. "None of these assholes has a chance. I can't wait to knock Griffin James stupid face into next week and kill Elvis Sunday and kill those stupid rock loser monkey jerks and kill stupid indy guys... sorry Ikuto!" he said, turning with a smirk to his best friend. "And I can't wait to kill that jackass panda jerkoff loser asshole cuntmonkey asshole jerk too!" Another crotch chop followed, all four leather jacket clad men turning to the camera with raised middle fingers, sticking their tongues out. # 666 were more quiet, Darkness Kitty! simply stating "...the finals will be draped in all evil." # American wrestler Travis Cade has expressed some interest in coming into Dream Fujin. Cade is a former NCAA champion in wrestling and even made the Olympic Freestyle team before a concussion took him out of contention, knocking him off the team. "The Natural" worked the indy circuit, making it to the finals of the famed J*STAR tournament, finding success in several companies. Fellow training partner Nigel Young is a stand out in MMA company Fury Pro and Cade has expressed his interest in coming to Japan to "...help out Young and simplyfurther my own training and my own career. Dream Fujin seems to be the perfect place." Travis Cade would certainly be different then the rest of the roster, using a more mat based style, utilizing a number of throws and devastating uppercuts but almost no aerial skills at all. © Dream Fujin, 2006. |
