BASTARD STAMPEDE MONDAY FIGHTS ------------------------------ July 3rd, 2006 At: Max Belle Centre in Calgary, Alberta, Canada THE DYNAMITE DOLLS vs. THE NOVA SCOTIA CUTIES ----------------------------------------- It was the Bastard Stampede debut of Jan Delgado and Sara Miles and they took on a relatively unknown team from Nova Scotia called the Nova Scotia Cuties. The irony about the Cuties is that they chose to wear masks. They acted cute but the masks seemed very out of place. Delgado and Miles were less concerned with this however as their every intention was to make a name for themselves. While the Cuties did well with double team maneuvering and team work, Delgado and Miles proved they had the upper hand in both talent and coordination. With an impressive double team finish, the Dolls took home the debut victory. WINNER: The Dynamite Dolls THE SHIFTER vs. CANADIAN BACON ----------------------------------------- The longtime MBC wrestler known as Canadian Bacon came down to not quite the solid ovation. The Canadian crowd didn't find Bacon's antics all that funny. He danced and waved his Mountie hat all about but the crowd turned their heads in disgust. Undaunted, Bacon continued on. From the entryway came the Shifter. Dressed in all white and wearing a mask, he entered the ring and devastated Bacon from the first second. If the Shifter wasn't such a venomous presence to the crowd they possibly would have cheered him. Alas, they could not. They at least were happy with the fact that Canadian Bacon was beaten badly enough to bleed. Afterwards, the Shifter's ally the Sky Slasher came out and helped to beat down Bacon further. If this was to prove a point, it was made abundantly clear. WINNER: The Shifter JONAS "DUTCH" ELM vs. PAT HAGMAN/LAURENCE DUFFY ----------------------------------------- Before the match even began, Elm was on the microphone and was trashing Greg "The Iceman" Smith. He was calling Smith everything from a coward to a woman. There was more, however his accent was very thick and hard to understand. Elm went on to say that he was going to make an example out of Hagman and Duffy. What he did to them, he was going to later to do Smith. Hagman and Duffy didn't intend to lay down and went after Elm quickly. But Elm flattened them both as soon as they got within arm's reach. Elm could have ended the match within the first thirty seconds, but he preferred to toy around with them. After five minutes of senseless beating, Elm threw Hagman on top of Duffy and stood with a boot on their chests to get the easy pin. WINNER: Jonas Elm DARK SABRE vs. RANSAC vs. KENO TANAKA ----------------------------------------- This match was a pure martial arts contest. While there was some technical wrestling and high flying mixed in, all three men predominantly used their respective martial arts styles. They were all quite similar and many of the high impact moves were the same, however there was enough variety to keep all three wrestlers guessing. Ransac played heavily to the crowd, which lead to Tanaka being annoyed. The savvy crowd sensed this and kept egging him on. Sabre mostly watched, waited and seized any opportunity he could. Tanaka hit Ransac with a devastating spinning kick to the throat but was sent flying outside the ring by Sabre before he could cover. Sabre then hit Ransac with another stiff kick and hooked the leg to get the pinfall. WINNER: Dark Sabre SLASH AND BURN w/Gloria Butler vs. ABSENCE and RAVAGE ----------------------------------------- Prior to the match, both teams were interviewed about the forthcoming contest and what it would mean to get a shot at Houston and Enos' Bastard Stampede Tag Team Titles. Absence and Ravage... well only Ravage prattled on incoherently about something relating to Vengeance's hate filled rhetoric. They mentioned how they were going to "put out" Slash and Burn and then go to win the tag title belts. Slash and Burn on the other hand were more coherent. They talked about how they weren't looking beyond Absence and Ravage but a shot at the tag titles was on their minds. Gloria Butler was asked about the discussion she had with Jacob Enos the week before, however Slash answered the question for her, stating that if they tried to use cheap tactics again, it'd be war. The match arrived and both teams were eager to get going. The referee pushed both teams back, preventing two or three potential false starts. Once the ref called for the bell though, it was on. Slash versus Absence. Absence versus Burn and so on and so forth. The match started with a brawl but settled into something closer to the wrestler's respective styles. Absence tried to bring in a chair but Gloria Butler managed to pull it away. That led to Burn taking the lead over their opponents. Ravage resorted to far more sinister forms of cheating but once Slash and Burn executed their Firebomb Cutter, it was over. With the victory, Slash and Burn moved into #1 contendership. WINNER: Slash and Burn BASTARD STAMPEDE WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH TAMARA JACKSON © vs. BLACK MADISON vs KARA "GECKO" TAWN ----------------------------------------- Kara Tawn came out with a much less noticeable limp. She was at the top of her game and it showed in the ring, as her performance was a much higher level than what was ever seen before. Black Madison also seemed to be at a higher level, as she should be, against two worthwhile opponents. Jackson was practically a ball of energy, taking on both Madison and Tawn at the same time for most of the match. Things however started to grow ugly between Madison and Tawn for some reason and tempers began to flare. Late in the match, Black Madison had Jackson down with a tornado DDT. Just as Madison heads to the turnbuckle, Tawn comes after her and whips her into the ropes. With an eardrum shattering smack, Tawn catches Madison in the face with a super kick. Madison is knocked out cold and Tawn falls to the mat, holding her ankle. Jackson clears her head and quickly covers Madison. Tawn either can't stop it or chooses not to. WINNER: Tamara Jackson AFTER THE MATCH ----------------------------------------- After Jackson leaves with her title, paramedics come down to ringside to check on Tawn and her injury. She tries to wave them off but she can't support any weight on her bad ankle. Madison comes to and attacks Tawn, furious about the end of the mach. She attacks the injured ankle over and over until security arrives to pull her off and take her to the back. BASTARD STAMPEDE FRONTIER UNION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH VENGEANCE © vs. DEMOLITION ----------------------------------------- After some heated trash talking from both sides throughout the show, Vengeance and Demolition came ready to fight. Unlike the tag team match, the referee couldn't restrain these two bruisers from fighting before the bell rang. The action went into the audience but was eventually reeled in so the match could officially start. Even then, the two monsters spilled to the outside frequently. Vengeance tried to use foreign objects but Demolition was quick to bat them out of the way. Momentum began to go in Demolitions favor, leading Vengeance to become more desperate. With Demolition just moves away from his Demolisher Spike finisher, Vengeance pulled a chain from his boot and decked Demolition in the jaw, right in front of the referee. Despite Demolition not going down with the fist punch, the referee called for the disqualification. Two punches later and Demolition collapsed to the mat. Vengeance smiled and took his championship belt, happy with the end result. The cameras faded to black as they showed blood flowing from Demolition's mask. WINNER BY DQ: Demolition |
