=======================

# Having once again emerged with his Independent Championship reign still intact, a battered but elated Tate Monroe reflected on the match against Darkness Kitty!, future opponents, and other topics:

- After being congratulated on his second successful title defense, Monroe had this to say:

"Thank you, and let me also thank Darkness Kitty! for the part _he_ played in extending my, what did he call it, "embarassing" title reign? [laughs] In all seriousness though, I'm really in too good a mood to take great offense at that ridiculous jibe. Although if I wasn't, I would probably suggest that the only embarassment I'm aware of belongs to the growing group of people who have been proven as my clear inferior in the ring -- a group that Darkness Kitty! is now officially a part of.

But now's not the time for needless gloating, as that really isn't my style. I said before this match that I was well aware of Kitty's talents in the ring, so nothing that happened out there surprised me. In fact I'd probably go so far as to say this was the more difficult of my title defenses thus far. But just like I did against Griffin James and the Elvis Sunday, I proved once again that I have no one, NO ONE, to fear in this company. So whether it's Yoshida, Ishikawa, or anyone else they chose to pit against me next, you can be assured that I welcome every opportunity to show that I am this company's standard bearer for a reason."

- With the Independent title safely secured for another tour, presumably now his focus turns to the World Tag League?:

"Definitely, although in all fairness I don't think my attention has ever turned _from_ the Tag League, something that unfortunately cannot be said for my partner. I don't know where Ty's attention has been lately, but I'll tell him right now, and he can take this friendly warning however he likes... his mind and his focus need to be in one place and one place alone, and that's in the ring, holding up his end of the bargain alongside me, something he hasn't come close to doing for far too long now."

# It seems a nasty training accident took place in Chitose last night, which has resulted in Tyrone Walker sustaining undisclosed injuries. All that is known is that Walker was sparring with his regular teammates, Yoshino Nanami and Independent champion Tate Monroe when the accident occurred, and reports are that the injuries are serious enough to keep him out of action for a while. Monroe had spoken to the press earlier in the day, but as of yet has not commented on Walker's accident. What will this mean for the Walker-Monroe team in the Dream World Tag League?
