# Heading into the vital three-team tiebreaker to decide the logjam at the top of Group A of the Dream World Tag League, Independent champion Tate Monroe took time away from his preperations to answer some questions from the press. These are the highlights:

- On the sparring accident that took partner Tyrone Walker out of action recently, and forced him to forfeit his place alongside Monroe in the Dream World Tag League: "I'm afraid it was just one of those freak occurances. The three of us, myself, Ty and Yoshino, had been training for much of the evening, as is typical for us. Ty and Yoshino were sparring while I observed; things had become fairly intense as these things have a tendency to do. Perhaps Yoshino was a little overzealous, perhaps Ty's focus wasn't quite what it should have been, I couldn't really say. And truthfully, there really is no blame to be aportioned in this type of situation. Ours is a contact sport, we wrestle hard, we train hard, and unfortunately sometimes we get hurt. It's sad for Ty of course, and we wish him the best in his recovery. But honestly I think this may turn out to be a blessing in disguise for him, because I think we all know his mind hasn't been where it needs to be competitively for a long time now. Hopefully this time away will allow him to return both physically and mentally at one hundred percent, and be a productive member of the team once more."

- On Yoshino Nanami taking Walker's place for the remainder of the tag league: "The one silver lining in this unfortunate incident is that I've had such a talented partner available to step in as he has. Considering there's no way we could have predicted or prepared for the unfortunate injury to Ty, I'm very pleased with how things have gone for us since the switch. Of course Yoshino would have preferred the circumstances to be different, but we have to take our chances where they present themselves, and that's exactly what he's done. This is a young man who's been something of an overlooked and underappreciated diamond in the rough for far too long now in Dream Fujin, and I know that's caused him some great frustration. So it's nice to be able to give him an opportunity to shine at long last. I've had a chance to get to know him over the past few weeks, and I'd have to say we see eye to eye on a great deal of things. So really it's no surprise that we've gelled so quickly and been able to devise a successful tag team formula, something that I have great confidence will now carry us all the way in this tournament."

- Of course, to do that they have to survive the three-team tiebreaker, and another encounter with growing rival, Usagi Yoshida: "Yoshida doesn't really concern me, and I'm not going to waste any more time at this point responding to his mishmash of revisionist history, hollow boasts and tired cliches. The fact is, and I say it again, the victories that he hangs his ego upon are six months in the past. SIX MONTHS. The last time we met, as I'm sure he remembers but I'll be happy to quote the record book if his selective memory has forgotten it, I and my partner DEFEATED him and his partner. Perhaps that just means I'm a better judge of talent, you'd have to ask him on that one. Either way, that's just a taste of what will happen any time he steps in the ring with me. But he doesn't have to take my word for it, just wait a matter of hours and the evidence will once again stare him in the face. I have never failed at anything in this company, and I have no intention of starting that trend now."

# For the first time since aligning himself with Dream Fujin Independent Super Lightweight champion Tate Monroe and Ty Walker, former fan favorite "Blinding Storm" Yoshino Nanami spoke to the press regarding his change in attitude.

"What did serving the fans' best interest earn me? Preliminary matches against the bottom of the barrel, and a feud with a wrestling monk. Since I've changed my stance, I've been in main-event calibre matches against the best this company has to offer. I now step into the ring alongside the best the _world_ has to offer to break up the tie we've created atop the tag league standings. The fans held me back; Monroe-san has allowed me to live up to my potential."

He was also asked about Ty Walker's "accident" that happened while working out with Nanami and Monroe.

"We wish Ty-san the best, but it was his own fault. Walker-san lost focus on the tast at hand... in training, I mean. Thus, fate stepped in, and he is off healing the best he can in the comfort of his home back in the U.S. Hopefully he will watch two men who have renewed focus, Monroe-san and myself, win the tag league in his stead. Maybe then he will understand why what happened, happened."

Finally, he was asked about the comments made by Usagi Yoshida and Ryoji Mifune July 24th.

"Jealousy is a harsh mistress. Yoshida-san and Mifune-san speak of revenge for losing to Monroe-san. They got their chance, they were put down like the dogs they are, yet now they come crawling back for yet another beating. Fine, let them come. The result will be the same, again and again; defeat and shame at the hands of the champion and the best young wrestler this company has ever seen. The tie shall be broken, we shall be victorious, and in the end our hands will be raised after winning the tag league fully. Also, if Special X is so sure of their dominance, let them face Monroe-san, Walker-san, and myself with the Trinity X titles on the line after Walker-san heals his wounds... or we find a more substitute partner. The titles were never lost by us, so it's only fitting we get a shot at removing the belts from the sad, pathetic team that currently holds them. Now if you'll excuse me, I have strategy to work on with my partner."
