1. What is Ring of Fire Wrestling?
----------------------------------

RoFW is what I believe to be a unique style of e-wrestling federation. It will attempt to combine the wrestling genres of puroresu (Japanese wrestling), lucha libre (Mexican wrestling) and US-style pro wrestling into one package, but with the added twist of not being based in one country.

No, the name Ring of Fire doesn't refer to some kind of burning ropes garbage match, or the Johnny Cash song. It refers to the Pacific Ring of Fire (to learn more, go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_Ring_of_Fire), which forms the basis of RoFW's tours. RoFW will travel around the Pacific region, holding shows predominantly in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and the West Coasts of the US and Canada.

Let me just acknowledge that the "Ring of Fire" idea was first mentioned to me by Jake Devine way back in 1998 as something he was planning to run. I figure if he hasn't done it after eight years then it's probably safe to steal the idea and run with it. Cheers Jake!

2. Who runs Dream Fujin?
----------------------------

In real life, that'd be me, Clint Fletcher. Or Fletcha as I'm more commonly known in e-wrestling. I've run more e-feds than I can rightly remember, but I've been doing this since 1996. I've run a couple of successful e-puro feds (G-Pro and Dream Fujin), a very successful US e-fed (RCW) and even an e-fed based in the South Pacific (SPW), so combining all of these styles will be easy. I'm also a huge real life fan of lucha libre and puroresu.

In game, RoFW is run by an international board of directors. Each director controls operations in a different country or region. In Japan it's former Dream Fujin owner Billy Thomas, in the US it's former RCW owner Clint Fletcher, in Mexico it's local promoter Alfonso Reyes, and in Australia/NZ it's former RCW road agent Robert Durango.

---------------------
3. Titles
---------------------

RoFW will start with just one title - the Independent World Championship (formerly the Independent Super-Lightweight Championship). Others might be added later.

-----------------------------------
4. Schedule and Shows
-----------------------------------

RoFW will run on a three-week schedule to start with. This is reduce stress on matchwriting, since I have no doubt I'll end up writing all the matches myself.

Each month RoFW will go on a "tour", which will be comprised of three or four non-televised house shows (detailed summary), and one televised show (full play-by-play).

The flavour of the shows will change slightly depending on where they are held. For instance, in Mexico there will be more trios and 2/3 falls matches, and in Japan the rules might be stricter. Each tour might take in just one country, a couple of countries, or all of the Pacific Ring of Fire.

-----------------------------------------
5. Roleplaying and Stratting
-----------------------------------------

RoFW will be an angle-based e-fed, but with emphasis on roleplaying. There will probably be a RP show each week, with the cumulative quality of your RPs over the tour counting towards match results. Of course, match results will also be determined by what is best for a feud/angle, and that's where strats come in.

As well as sending in strats for matches on the main PBP show, you should also send in small strats letting me know what you've got planned for your feud/angle over the tour, so I can work that stuff into the house shows.

---------------------
6. Basic rules
----------------------

As stated above, these will vary depending on the venue. A standard set of rules for Japan, Mexico, the US and Australia/NZ will be provided at a later date.

---------------------
7. Characters
----------------------

Because of our unique style, RoFW needs to have a roster that includes wrestlers from all over the world. American, Canadian, Mexican, Japanese, Australian etc. Beyond that, there's really no restrictions on what kinds of characters we'll accept.

Whereas Dream Fujin was a JHW-only fed, Ring of Fire Wrestling is open to all weights and sizes.

-----------------------------------------
8. Announcing Team
-----------------------------------------

The televised (PBP) show will be broadcast in several different countries around the world (the US, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, plus maybe a few more). Bearing this in mind, RoFW has a play-by-play commentator who calls all the shows - the former voice of River City Wrestling, Larry Van Keel. Who is in the commentary booth with him depends on what country the show is broadcast from - in Japan it'll be former Dream Fujin commentator Kenzo Genki, in Mexico it'll be newcomer Jose Manuel Almendes, and everywhere else it'll be Van Keel's long-time announce partner, Rick Perle.

To be confirmed.
