News Central Thursday November 9 =================== # The big question after First Battle Revolution is... how _did_ Griffin James get into the building? According to various officials, he played a bit of a trick- he had medical clearance to do so. Fans will recall that at the beginning of James' suspension, Clint Fletcher stated that Griffin James would be allowed back in Ring of Fire once he had thoroughly evaluated by a psychiatrist and cleared to wrestle- James used the technicality to get into the building and get his hands on Kinsey. He sat down and talked with a reporter from the Japanese newspaper Nikkan Sports, and his comments were posted in English on RingofFire.com: "I could tell you that I did a lot of soul-searching and prayer with my "time off", but that'd be a bold-faced lie. My career's on the line at Stand and Deliver, and I'm looking to cave Luke Kinsey's face in.... nuff said. I'm trying to be 'progressive'- always have been, but some folks just keep dragging up the past." About his "mental" health: "My head's on straight. I got angry, is all- nothing else to say but that. You know, it's funny- anyone else in this organization would probably have done ten times worse than what I did in Mexico, but all of a sudden I'm the bad guy in the situation. Logic would really help Ring of Fire officials as a whole in this day and age. For example, as a human being, it is my God given right to beat the shit out of anyone that puts their hands on me, whether you wear stripes or not. I got a few thousand volts coursing through my veins for doing that, but whatever. I was pissed. Mexico's doing just fine. I think everyone's more than capable of getting over it, so let's move on, shall we?" About what he did during his suspension: "Youtube! I got some 20 pound weights that I had near my desk and some vitamin water in a small fridge, and I would sit for hours doing curls and watching episodes of Zyuranger. It was great! Me and Cherry bought a new bed because we broke the old one- it involved an 'African Squat' and a sippy cup. I still haven't finished Namco X Capcom. And I worked out a lot. And I watched some tapes." About Tate Monroe: "You know what? I think Tate's been reading some message boards and seeing what the internet says about him and me... obviously Timmy from Ohio who wears the same Derek Mota t-shirt from 1997 has somehow decided that my career is "exposed" and Tate's the mastermind behind this development. What the *censored* does that mean? I think it's obvious that after _weeks_ of well- being suspended, I'm still the one of the best damn things in this organization, and I think it's obvious that without me, Tate Monroe would have _nothing_. He's made a career out of _ducking me_ ever since that first debacle in Mexico, and now he's got Juan Vasquez about to take his title, break his back, and make him humble. He's *censored*ed, plain and simple. His eyes aren't on the prize, just on these nuts... which I _hate_. That's how I get wrinkles down there. When it's all said and done, he's gonna complain about me, maybe the BoD'll tossing "Blinding Storm" at me as a warm up, and I'm gonna break his *censored*ing face just to reiterate thatI am _never_ to be taken lightly. In fact, let's get one thing straight. I will _never_ speak about Tate Monroe _again_ until I sign a contract for a simple one-on-one match with him. That's called 'taking the high road', Textbook. Try it sometime, it might make you a better cha- ooops." About the future: "I'm just a man trying to make progress in this industry... but first up, Luke Kinsey. Kinsey may know about me from RCW, but I've spent a long time erasing that past, and at Stand and Deliver, I'm finally going to bury that stage of my career and enter a new age of James Clan Asswhoopery. It's gonna be beautiful. I'm excited, and you should be too." # Some fans may have noticed that the sixman tag match advertised for First Battle Revolution was changed to a tagteam match at the last minute. Gone from the match were Lethal TOKYO and Darkness Kitty!. This was because just hours before the show was taped, TOKYO was released from his contract. There has been no official word as to why this happened, but as a result the match was changed, and Kitty! was given the night off. # Ryoga Miike checked himself out of the hospital after First Battle Revolution against doctor's orders. He told RingofFire.com: "I have a surprise. I will deliver." We can only assume that Miike has something _huge_ planned for Stand and Deliver for Tobias Chapel Smith... and considering the way he's been over the past few months, EMTs will definitely need to be on hand. © Ring of Fire Productions, 2006 |
