ACW Overload 04/26
Report Sent In By: LazyBoy21

We started the night off with a promo from Bobby Nash, who reminded the crowd that his vow to retire was only good if Jerry "Pure Power" Titus has defended his title succesfully against him at the last Saturday event. And since Titus lost the belt prior to the match, he wasn't bound by the stipulation and "will continue to haunt ACW for the forseeable future". Lots of heat for that one.

Dark Match #1: Ryan Goodman d. Dick Hackenschmidt
-------------------------------------------------
The former Ryan Rumble came out and dismantled Hackenschmidt in pretty short order, which isn't to say Dick wasn't ready for a fight. But against the jacked up monster there wasn't a whole lot he could do with his power moves, and as such Goodman speared Hackenschmidt and then a jackhammer finished him off.

Dark Match #2: The West Coast Wild Boyz d. Hellhound & Overkill
---------------------------------------------------------------
Another quick match, the WCWB once again attacked their opponents prior to the bell and managed to take Overkill out with a double DDT on the cement in the aisleway before dicing up Hellhound with a precision offensive strike. The Boyz got the victory with the Red Vine, more of a routine victory to remind the crowd of the Boyz than anything else. Post-match Hunter and Jordan got on the mic and proclaimed themselves the next Southwest Tag Team Champions.

At this point the tv taping began, with the standard highlights package of the last Saturday ACW show set to "Six Days" by DJ Shadow and Mos Def. "Hollywood" Cody Jones and Keith Marshall are getting good at sneaking out during the opening, I didn't notice them until the lights came back on again.

Match #1: Genya Otsuka d. Bullet
--------------------------------
The Southwest Heavyweight Champion took on the enigmatic masked man in
the first televised match, and much to the delight of the crowd Bullet
managed to take it to the champ. Otsuka was too interested in gloating
to the crowd that he had the title and wound up splattered on the arena
floor courtesy of a monkey flip all the way over the top rope. Bullet
soon missed a dive of his own though and fell prey to the Screw Loose in
the end when the champion spun Bullet's mask around to block his vision
and counter a top rope huracanrana. After the match, Dick Hackenschmidt
showed up and grabbed Bullet to deliver a nasty piledriver on the floor
as Otsuka shined up his title belt and watched with mild interest. This
brought out Jerry Titus who ran off both Hackenschmidt and Otsuka, before
helping Bullet limp to the back.

Up next was a highlights package from the last Saturday ACW event with the official debut of We Four Girls in which Rosalee Perez and Kiora Donovan were battered by the foursome of Megan Affleck, Taryn Weller, Fiona Cassidy and Shauna Duncan. This was followed by a quick backstage interview with the new supergroup, in which Duncan laid out a challenge to Perez for the next match.

Match #2: "Superstar" Shauna Duncan d. Rosalee Perez
----------------------------------------------------
Shauna, the redhead of the group, opened the match with a quick offensive flurry that put Perez on her back more than once and only served to enrage the local star more than she was. Duncan was in firm control until Perez escaped a standing armbar and repeatedly battered Shauna with forearm shivers to the back of the head and a huge head and arm suplex takedown. From here Perez started to work the neck and the back area for one of her submissions, the Perez Stretch and Shauna nearly passed out from the pain only to roll finally to the ropes for the break. Thanks to the rallying of her fellow W4G members around ringside Duncan caught Perez with a superkick to the jaw. Swiftly she grabbed Perez and hooked her up with a cross-legged fisherman brainbuster for a three count, and the crowd cheered as We Four Girls celebrated. It was at this point that Kiora Donovan emerged from the back and challenged any one of the W4G members to a Southwest Women's Title Match this coming Saturday!

A promo for Steven Edge followed, as he promised to create chaos and wreak havoc wherever he goes, beginning with his former partner Zero G. A counter-promo from Zero-G came right afterwards, with the fan favorite challenging Edge to a rematch on Saturday.

Match #3: St. George & The Dragon d. No Fat Chicks
---------------------------------------------------
This non-title match started out with James St. George tossing Ricky Reno
around the ring and avoiding doubleteams from the champions. Once he
benchpressed Reno onto Romeo Richards on the arena floor the Dragon
tagged into the match and caught NFC napping with a huge senton splash
off his partner's back, over the ropes to the arena floor! Once they
returned to the ring Drake was soon subdued by a shot to the crotch by
Richards and a vertical suplex, and as St. George repeatedly attempted to
tag back in NFC cut Drake off and both pounded on him with the referee's
back turned. The turning point in the match came as NFC went for the Fat
Chick Rippah and Drake escaped with headscissors on Reno before lunging
over to St. George. Before NFC could react Reno was dispatched to the
outside, St. George applied a scorpion deathlock on Richards and the
Dragon hit a catapult legdrop to the back of his neck to knock him
senseless for the three count.

As NFC argued with the referee after the match, St. George and the Dragon
posed with the tag title belts to close the show.
