UWF 100 Most Memorable Moments; As determined by YOUR votes!

So, elsewhere, I plugged the fact that those who have read the UWF through the years would have the opportunity to vote for the most memorable moments in UWF history.

Allow me to answer a few questions people may have.

Who can vote? Anybody who has followed the UWF through the years... certainly, those who have had a character in UWF may vote, but that's not necessary. Those who did not have a character, but read UWF cards from time to time, are eligible to vote as well.

How can I possibly remember what moments to vote for? I have compiled lists of notable moments throughout the UWF years to help you. These lists will be posted and should help refresh your memory.

How were these moments selected? When I went through UWF cards, I tried to pick the ones that stood out for that particular year or time period. Most of them should be ones people remember happening, although others may not be that well remembered, but were certainly unusual. I will add that some moments may have caused controversy at the time, but my thought process was that they shouldn't have been ignored, so long as they don't qualify as "infamous" moments (i.e., almost anything involving Rick Styles).

Will these moments themselves be posted? I have pulled most of them from the UWF cards, but I won't post every single one so as to avoid flooding the board with posts. Instead, I'll create a thread in which people may make requests for moments to be posted to refresh their memories. That will make things easier and hopefully avoid clutter. Or if you want to see what I compiled, you can e-mail me and I'll send them to you.

How many moments can I vote for? You should vote for at least 10 and may vote for up to 20. My hope is to compile a top 100, so getting at least 10 from everyone, and no more than 20, should give me a good pool to put together a top 100. You'd vote for them the same way you vote for your top X in midyears and year ends.

Can I vote for moments in which my characters were involved? I won't prohibit that, but I ask that you don't flood your ballot with only moments that your character was part of. Remember, we all do enough as it is to feed our own egos.

What about moments that you don't list? If you feel a particular moment that I haven't listed is worthy of consideration, then state your case. Just bear in mind that "the night my character won the title" is going to be looked upon more as ego boosting than anything else.

Where do I send ballots? To ratsportrm @ yahoo.com (remove the spaces, obviously).

When do ballots need to be received by? I've set the deadline as Friday, Aug. 8. That gives people about five weeks to put together their ballots.

OK, so I will be heading out for my vacation in a couple of days, but I figured I'd post a reminder to everyone to feel free to cast your votes. I know there's quite a few moments I listed, so I figured most people were still trying to decide what to vote for.

So, yeah... deadline is Aug. 8, which gives you about three weeks to get those ballots in.

Unfortunately, I only got one person to submit a ballot. I believe I still have his ballot in my e-mail.

So... perhaps what I need to do is start a thread in which people can toss out what their top moments would be. That might actually get more people to contribute, rather than simply filling out a ballot.
