I just finished reading this flash packet, very excellent! Lots of really good promos and all the matches were hyped really well and all the references to what happened in Miami in 2004 were very effective in making it seem like something BIG might happen when UWF is in Miami sort of deal. Really good hype show! My favorite promo was Juan Vasquez followed closely by Alex Martinez and Trey DaMann. Man, I can't wait to read Martinez vs DaMann after reading the promos! I also really liked Kyle Lee's promo and I really dig Gamma Ray, probably the best superhero as villain type gimmick I've seen! Very good show, can't wait to read the PPV! |

[BLEEP!] Why has every gimmick been done before? OK. How about the mad scientist (manager) that debuts his genetic creation; a half-man, half-rhinoceros giant? Too far fetched? Fine, fine... how about the guy that was raised by a pack of Gorillas in a recluse corner of Kenya? He could be called the Silverback or something... No? Then... how about the guy that looks like one of us, acts like one of us, but is, in fact, a BSG sleeper Cylon? Too nerdy? How about the tag team composed of a guy and his imaginary friend? |

I'm pretty sure I've seen the super hero as villain gimmick done before a few times but the names and feds escape me! However, I dont' recall any of them being handled as well as Gamma Ray or make me want to read and follow them religiously like the flash I read made me wnat to follow Gamma Ray's future endeavors. You keep rocking the gimmick, you're kicking butt with it! |
