I remember doing super counter-strats...but that was for a TNM fed. And...everyone was repelled by Vasquez's use of the Infinity Gauntlet, anyhow.

Should've used that to counter the blimp.

He would have stratted to have Silver Surfer snatch it off your hand at the last minute, and it would have gone through just like in the What If.

And we all know the What If endings are not pretty.

That's why I prefer DC's Elseworlds. :D
And here's where I pretend to be a writer...

well in Dave's case, that would be JJ. In mine, it would be Brandon.

The JJ thing was even worse because he took my storyline, used it to screw Dave, and destroyed weeks worth of work all so he could beg Mark not to leave--which he did anyway.

I had to look it up.

I had totally forgotten about Extreme and his drug issues :)

Well after 2 crushing UEW title shot losses, I decided to go with a character driven angle. Ironically just in time to once again shoot myself in the foot "e-careerwise".

Was fun but few played along. It pissed off Mark to no end--which made it even more fun. :D

The best was the gauntlet match...the part where Manson and Extreme play cards for five minutes is just plain wrong but one often mentioned by Pat Calhan.

Was to ref the RITB title match and go unconcious in the middle of the match--on Styles. JJ decides to use it but on Martinez. Plus he totally sweeps under the rug the rest of the way with no concerns or worries about the unconcious man convulsing on a gurney at ringside.

Yep, UEW at its best and worst right there.

I still remember the card-playing also.

Brings a chuckle from my lips

Someone mention a strat being leaked. STAT.

wow...

I almost forgot about that.

good catch Picky!

That was Creed, not the IIWF one, right?

He wanted Rosendorf's advice on a strat and Rosendorf sent it to EVERY other person in the UEW title match!

Rosendorf wasn't even in the fed at the time either!

This happened during the few months that Pat and I were fedheads.

Most of what I remember was a cavalcade of incessant whining and crying about booking. Creed's handler sent me a nasty invective filled e-mail after one of those matches. Because that DID cost him the match... I factored in that everyone had all of his stuff specifically countered. I didn't know why everyone knew what he was going to do at the time, and honestly, it wouldn't have mattered if I did.

I also remember the Fight To The Finish royal rumble, where everyone and their brother was crying about something or other. FTTF was always angle-based to set up the next PPV. People were like "why didn't I win?", or "why was I eliminated so quickly", or "waah waah waah". I remember one guy left the fed because he came out, and an angle was set up with his enemies doing something dirty to him... and because it all happened right after he came out, he got miffed and left.

Hopefully, time and frustration has taken crap like this away from e-w. When I ran WANA for the short time that I did, I specifically set it up so that noone could possibly cry about booking (as the whole thing was just people entrusting me with characters and me booking everything how I wanted) because of that horrid experience.

Well...that and the fact that WANA was an invitation only fed...so getting to cherry pick your roster (and knowing the people in it well going in) only helped.
