Right so I decided that at some point I need to try and write up my own fed. Not one that people will handle in, but more just me writing up so that I can control all aspects of the fed and have fun with it. I dunno when I will start this project but what I know is I'm more than likely going to have to stop handling at some point to do it, but I will keep you all posted on this project if and when I start it up for real!

This is the intro to the fed with some of the basics. The roster will be released in the near future

ENJOY!!!!

Introduction to the IWF

OK so you are probably gonna read this and go “WTH?” and I'm here to explain to you what you are staring at right now:

This is your introduction to a federation that I have used for a long time as a “fictional” fed in the bios of my own wrestlers to help tell their story. It was while I was in PVW and just getting ready to start up in ICWF that I had a “Come to Jesus” and thought about writing the “Fictional” fed and bringing it into a reality!

So where should I start for you? How about the rules? Every fed has them and when I decide to start this one up this will be no different!

Rule #1: Match Length – A standard match in the IWF will be 15 minutes long(20 for Main Event and Title matches except the TV title). If at the end of the time a decision was not rendered it is declared a draw.

Rule #2 – Champion's Advantage....NOT! - In the sport of Pro Wrestling champions have it easy historically. Under any normal rulebook they can find a way to get DQ'd and keep their belt. Not here!

Under this rule if a champion tries to get him or herself disqualified or even unintentionally the belt DOES change hands! The only way it can NOT is by count out!

Rule #3: Ways to win – In the IWF a match can be won under the following conditions:

Count Out
DQ
Pin Fall
Submission
Knock Out(Referee's Discretion) – This one is tricky because if a wrestler is knocked out he/she can be pinned BUT if a wrestler has taken enough blows to the point that the ref believes he/she cannot defend herself the match will be stopped!

Rule #4: Equal Opportunity – Yep! Its true! The IWF believes in the fact that women and men should be able to kick each others asses up and down the ring. The thing is you will only be seeing Lightweights(215 Pounds or lower) and Women(190 and lower) and while you might think this will put females at a disadvantage you'll be surprised I promise you

Rule #5: Match Types you'll see – Every fed has at least 4 match types right? So does the IWF but the catch is that some of ours only come out for certain times of the year. What are the matches? How's this sound:

Singles
Tag
“Gender Wars”(Mixed Tag)
Ladder
First Blood
Chaos Chamber(Only appears during “Christmas Chaos”)
“Patriot Games”(Fought under the rules of War Games and happens in September usually)
Commissioner's Choice – If you see this then some was a bad boy/girl
Gauntlet
and for the big daddy...

the “THUNDERDOME”

The Thunderdome is a match I thought of one night when I watched a “Royal Rumble” and thought how cool it would be to add all kinds of madness to it. This match is the ME of “Sole Survivor” which is the June PPV. It involves all teams that won their prior matches and the winner of this grueling match will be the World Champion!

Now if you will be wondering what my PPV schedule is planned to be it goes like this:

Feb – Valentine Viciousness
May – Memorial Day Mayhem
June – Sole Survivor
Sept – Patriot's Day Pride
Dec – Christmas Chaos

Yep I only do 5 PPVs but the rest of the time I'm going to be doing some kind of supercard with this.

Now let's talk about the titles that you will be seeing once this fed launches:

IWF World Title
IWF International
IWF TV
IWF Tag Titles

Now for the fun stuff: A little about the person writing this fed out and the story of the fed itself:

The IWF is, was and forever will be a staple in the minds of those that lived in the United Kingdom and abroad. Over a 20 year period they attracted a roster that was unlike any that anyone could have pictured. Wrestlers from Russia, Japan, Canada, Africa, and of course the United States converged at the NEC Arena, Wembley Stadium, Budokahn Hall, The Tokyo Dome and various other arenas between Europe and beyond. It wasn't until the mid 1990s when the United States market started coming into prominence and wrestlers started seeing it as a true major league. This was essential to securing its first ever American TV Deal with ESPN2, Fox Sports Net and many other major TV stations in the states. Part of the reason that was cited for the interest was the fact that one of their own, Zack Johnson, as well as “Hard Knock University” which consisted of Chester Clarke and Brad Cummings made the fed more accessible to Americans and from Canada a future Hall of Famer named Tina Davis was reason enough to earn a TV deal with the CBC and TSN!

The fed enjoyed success until the year 2004 when it hit a startling financial issue that caused the fed's collapse. Some cited bad management decisions once Curtis left his post and many have wondered if it would ever come back and if so what shape would it take?

Now almost 5 years later and Joshua Curtis is back at his post of Owner and is ready to resurrect the fed to its former glory and news of the resurrection leaked to all of its former partners with great enthusiasm and now in the vast wasteland of quality wrestling can the IWF survive in this new era with “Divas” and “Characters” as opposed to 100% pure wrestling?

Only time will tell!

And now for the story from the creator:

The name is Joshua Curtis and I've been “handling” in a hobby called e-fedding for well over a decade. I was debating with myself whether or not I wanted to try and take a run at writing out my own fed with a series of wrestlers, angles, etc. in the land of all these feds that actually have handlers.

So what could POSSIBLY make this fed different from all the rest? How about the fact that its all ME! I create the angles, the characters and every bloody aspect of it. There will be no handlers or anything of the sort to have to worry about, but I will be posting the shows to show you all my brand of wrestling. While angles are still an important part of wrestling the fact that a lot of feds, both real and electronic, have become so character and story driven I firmly believe some feds forget that you need actual WRESTLING to show what your talent can do in the ring. In the IWF there are no squash matches, no jobbers and everyone that is employed has a chance at the World Title. There are no “inner circles with the owner and he has no “boys”. While the part of the fed's main draw will be that the fed is “Family Run” by Curtis and his sister it will not be the thing that overshadows the roster. The roster is truly the star of the show and no nasty takeovers with a TV station or an outside group from another promotion will be done.

I haven't decided on a launch date yet, but this is being put out to let you know that I will be doing this fed sometime soon...I just dunno when!

This is the IWF and this is W-R-E-S-T-L-I-N-G!!!!
