FFN Presents...

K I N G S - O F - E U R O P E

Week Two
=======================================================
Hola and welcome to week two of Kings Of Europe! Last
week we saw Glasgow Horde take the top spot in the
league thanks to their 4-3 win over London Lions! This
week they'll be facing Rome Legionaires and some words
have been exchanged between the two teams and their
supporters! That should be an interesting match! Other
key matches to watch for, Number Two team Majestic
Madrid taking on Last place team FC FC Vārcolac Bucharest,
and many will be watching that one to see if the
officiating will be as controversial as Madrid's game
last week against Dublin Wild Hunt. Dublin will be
in a key match up as they face off against London Lions
in London! So many exciting match ups, let's get to
them and see how results pan out!
=======================================================
Paris Parrots [France] (Home)
vs
Amsterdam Admirals [Netherlands] (Away)
=======================================================
The fans were out on this overcast day in Paris to see
their home team, Paris Parrots, take on visitors from
the Netherlands, Amsterdam Admirals. Much cheese and
wine was about, lots of kissing in the crowd as well.
Where they hear for the game or just out on a date?
Who knows what the original intentions where but early
on the Parrots gave the home crowd something else to
be excited about! 22 Year old Brazilian, Josue Melo,
who has a younger brother, Julio Melo, playing for
Berlin, took advantage of some lazy defending early
on by the Admirals by slipping through practically
unnoticed and fire off a shot past Admirals GK
Ibrahim Elia!

07:51 Goal by Josue Melo [Paris Parrots]

Paris Parrots 1 - 0 Amsterdam Admirals

The Paris crowd erupted with cheers and songs and
lots of kissing and making out! The most amorous
crowd in KOE? Possibly! The Admirals looked STUNNED
and seemed to openly being saying with disbelief,
"Paris scored against us?!" But, as hard as it is
to believe, it was true! Paris had drawn first blood
against the Dutch club that had scored 3 goals the
week before in a draw against Rome Legionaires!
As the Admirals tried to shake off the shock at
being scored on by Paris, the Parrots tried to
slow the game down and just pass the ball between
each other with not much effort to push for
another goal! The game seemed to slow down to
a boring pace and not alot happened the rest of
the first half. Not on the field anyways, in
the stands Parrots' fans seemed content to
make out and drink wine and eat cheese. It was
becoming a pleasant day for them indeed!

But as the 2nd half began Amsterdam seemed to be
awake, FINALLY, and seemed ready to ruin the day
for the amorous Paris crowd! Admirals midfield
Dirk Schaars won the ball away from the Parrots
and made a pass to an unmarked Jan Babel, also
an Amsterdam midfielder, and Babel made the
Parrots pay for not marking him as he shot off
a ROCKET that flew by Parrots' GK Loic Govou, who
seemed to not even be paying attention!

49:28 Goal by Jan Babel [Amsterdam Admirals]

Paris Parrots 1 - 1 Amsterdam Admirals

The Paris crowd BOOED.. then went back to their
cheese and wine! The Parrots looked dismayed,
DEFEATED even! They apparently thought they could
just pass the ball back and forth and play a
friendly until the time ran out but the reality
was Amsterdam was on the move with their attack
and Babel returned the favor for Schaars by passing
him a shot when Schaars was unmarked and Schaars
punished Paris even more for their defeated attitude!

56:29 Goal by Dirk Schaars [Amsterdam Admirals]

Paris Parrots 1 - 2 Amsterdam Admirals

If only the Paris crowd wasn't too involved with
making out and enjoying the overcast weather! The
Admirals celebrated and then Babel and Schaars set
upon the defeated Parrots once more with Babel
sending a slick pass to Schaars who slipped by some
slow Parrots defenders and shot the ball towards
Govou.. Who was paying no attention!

59:15 Goal by Dirk Schaars [Amsterdam Admirals]

Paris Parrots 1 - 3 Amsterdam Admirals

Paris apparently didn't come to play which is
unfortunate because Amsterdam was now up 3 to 1 over
the home team! The Admirals then decided to give
the Parrots a dose of their own medicine and
slowed the pace of the game down and ate up time
by just passing the ball back and forth! The Parrots
seemed befuddled with how to counter this! The
Admirals seemed to take it easy, reserving their
energy for next week apparently! This game went
from hot start, slow crawl, hot explosion of goals
and now once again back to a slow crawl. The
crowd didn't care as they made out and drank wine
all the same! But late in the 2nd half Brazilian
Josue Melo tried to steal the ball and make a run
towards Admirals goal! Admirals defender Stijn
Timmer stole the ball away from Melo... But Melo
FELL to the ground, grabbing his leg in pain
and yes.. It was in the area and yes... THE REFEREE
POINTED TO THE SPOT!

The Paris crowd now came ALIVE! "PENALTY PENALTY
PENALTY" they chanted from the stands, wine glasses
being held up high! Admirals defenders protested
saying that Timmer got no where near Melo but the
referee upheld his decision and Melo went for the
one on one against Elia.. and he won it!

82:48 Goal by Josue Melo [Paris Parrots]

Paris Parrots 2 - 3 Amsterdam Admirals

Two goals by the young Brazilian forward! But replays
have seemed to pan out that Timmer made NO contact
with Melo at all, much less his leg! Thus.. DIVE!
Melo surely dived to draw the penalty! Amsterdam
regained possession and now pressed their offense
against Parrots, trying to close out the game with
one more goal to make a two goal comfort margin.
Admirals forward Nigel Marcellis was slipping past
Parrots defender Cedri Vieira when Vieira grabbed
Marcellis by his shirt and yanked him to the ground!
Marcellis tumbled to the ground and then Vieira paused
a moment then grabbed his leg and fell to the ground
rolling around as if HE had been attacked! Players on
both teams began appealing for some action from the
referee and he doled out action.. A YELLOW CARD..
the FIRST Yellow Card of the season.. And to...
PARROTS' DEFENDER VIEIRA! Vieira jumped up protesting,
apparently not hurt after all since he never got
hit in the first place, but the card stood!

Stoppage time ran out and that was it! The Parrots
had scored twice but will most likely be remembered
for some atrocious behavior on their way to being
defeated by the Amsterdam Admirals. The crowd didn't
seem to mind too much as they sang some songs and
gave another toast before heading out of the stadium
to make sweet Paris love most likely!

Final Score:
Paris Parrots 2 - 3 Amsterdam Admirals

Moscow Red Bears [Russia] (Home)
vs
Berlin Brewers [Germany] (Away)
=======================================================
Last week in Romania Moscow Red Bears invaded Bucharest
and defeated "The Werewolves"! This week Moscow was
being invaded by the Berlin Brewers and their supporters!
A good number of Brewers supporters made the trip to
Moscow to show support for their team who didn't give
them much to cheer about last week in a 0-0 tie against
Paris Parrots.

What a difference a week makes! The Brewers came out
with pace and took control of the game taking many
shots at Moscow's goal. Julio Melo, 19 year old Brazilian
and the younger brother of Parrots player Josue Melo,
snuck through Moscow's defense much like his brother
did in the Parrots-Admirals game and Melo made a fool
of Red Bears GK Vasili Gabulov but his parents proud
as both sons score this week!

12:00 Goal by Julio Melo [Berlin Brewers]

Moscow Red Bears 0 - 1 Berlin Brewers

The home crowd seemed very subdued by this early
development and many cold angry glares were cast in
the direction of Red Bears' GK Gabulov who many
thought would have another clean sheet this week!
But no, the Brazilian forward Melo had found the
opening and made Gabulov look vulnerable! Berlin
pressed their attack while Moscow tried to hold
them off with defense but Brewers midfielder Andreas
Schafer cut through Red Bear's defenders, shot the
ball towards Forward Gianluigi Grosso who passed
to forward Christian Metzelder who snuck it past
the leaping Gabulov, yet made to look a fool
yet again!

33:20 Goal by Christian Metzelder [Berlin Brewers]

Moscow Red Bears 0 - 2 Berlin Brewers

Moscow was decidedly unhappy and let their team
know it with cold silence! But the Brewer fans who
made the trip let rip with a roar of approval at
the fight and life their team was showing in
Moscow! The Red Bears managed to hold off a
blistering attack by Berlin to end the 1st half.

At the start of the 2nd half Moscow came out
determined to change the tide of this match and
took control of the game and made pushes towards
scoring but Berlin's defense managed to prevent
Moscow from making good on any of their tries.
And the home crowd again let their team have it
with cold.. Cold silence!

Berlin looked to deepen the relations between
home crowd and club as Berlin regained possession
and forward Melo took a shot at the goal only for
it to take deflection which gave a corner kick to
Berlin! Forward Christian Metzelder took the corner
kick, the ball crossed and Brewers forward Gross,
from Italy, headed the ball past an UTTERLY defeated
Red Bears GK Gabulov!

71:32 Goal by Gianluigi Grosso [Berlin Brewers]

Moscow Red Bears 0 - 3 Berlin Brewers

Oh how cold, how very very cold the silence and glares
were directed at the home team! But how warm and rousing
where the cheers by the supporters of Berlin who made
the trip to invade Moscow and cheer on their team who
had given them not much to cheer about a week before!
Brewers were very joyous, perhaps too much as they
lazily let Red Bears forward Dmitri Zhirkov run away
with the ball and and send a Russian MISSILE past
Berlin GK Heiko Hitzlsperger!

74:19 Goal by Dmitri Zhirkov [Moscow Red Bears]

Moscow Red Bears 1 - 3 Berlin Brewers

Now the cold hard silence turned to THUNDERING
CHEERS! The Red Bears had come alive and with 15
minutes to go they could still pull off a miracle
come back! The crowd now chanted and sang and
cheered the Red Bears on and the Red Bears responded,
seemingly come alive, making pushes towars Berlin's
goal but the Brewers' defenders held strong! And
as time ran down the singing and chants got quieter
until as stoppage time ran out Moscow had once again
become cold glaring silence for their team! The
only noise really was the outburst of joy from the
Berlin supporters who made a long trip to Moscow
and were rewarded with their teams first victory
of the season!

Final Score:
Moscow Red Bears 1 - 3 Berlin Brewers

Majestic Madrid [Spain] (Home)
vs
FC Vārcolac Bucharest [Romania] (Away)
=======================================================
Beautiful clear skies greeted the packed stadium in
Madrid full of Spanish flags waving, Majestic Madrid
jerseys everywhere, and some of the loudest and most
enthusiastic singing thus far in KOE! Amidst this
large faithful crowd were a group of bizarre individuals
support "The Werewolves" FC Vārcolac Bucharest but
the crowd seemed friendly enough towards the supporters
of the visiting team as Madrid has made a push to have
the friendliest of supporters to offset some of the
other crowds gaining press in KOE.. And maybe to counter
all the controversey and criticism leveled Madrid's way
after the officiating of the game last week against
Dublin Wild Hunt in Ireland!

The Madrid crowd didn't have to wait long for answers
as to the quality of their club as Midfielder Sergio
Alonso passed the ball to 18 year old Forward Antonito
Balsa who evaded Bucharest defenders Bogdan Iorga and
Andrei Cantemir then came across Bucharest star defender
Radu Sirato, but instead of taking Sirato on Balsa was
merely acting as a distraction for Alonso had run
ahead after passing the ball to Balsa and Blasa shot
the ball unexpectedly to his left where Alonso was
waiting to boot the ball past Bucharest GK Haralamb
Otescu!

14:25 Goal by Sergio Alonso [Majestic Madrid]

Majestic Madrid 1 - 0 FC Vārcolac Bucharest

The crowd ERUPTED with cheers and celebration! The
Werewolves looked angry that they had fallen for the
ruse and missed the set-up that was going down. They
sure didn't miss anything for the rest of the 1st
half! Madrid kept pushing their offense but Bucharest's
defense and midfield stepped up their defending and
star defender Radu Sirato stayed on Balsa relentlessly
and didn't allow the 18 year old any chance to begin
his runs towards goal. Madrid kept pushing but they
couldn't pierce the defense as the 1st half ended.

At the start of the 2nd half Bucharest seemed more
focused, now content that they could contain the
scoring of Madrid, they began to go on the offensive
and they found Madrid's defense lacking! Bucharest
midfielder Octavian Pann broke through the Madrid
defense and shot the ball to fellow midfielder
Luca Antonescu who proved that one on one Madrid GK
Carlos Nadal was no match!

55:10 Goal by Luca Antonescu [FC Vārcolac Bucharest]

Majestic Madrid 1 - 1 FC Vārcolac Bucharest

Equalized and now the small group of strange Bucharest
supporters cheered as hard as they could while the
Madrid fans looked concerned but not defeated! But
two minutes later their concern turned to DESPAIR as
Bucharest forward Marius Bibesco evaded Majestic defender
Andres Navarro and Xavi Lopez and then put the ball past
Nadal!

57:11 Goal by Marius Bibesco [FC Vārcolac Bucharest]

Majestic Madrid 1 - 2 FC Vārcolac Bucharest

The rag tag group of wierdo supporters for the Werewolves
were in rapturous joy! They were leading over Majestic
Madrid in Madrid's home stadium! The home crowd seemed
in shock! Deflated! The Werewolves though were Howling
with celebration! Maybe it really had all been the
help of poor officiating that gave Madrid their 2-0
win over Dublin last week!

Or maybe it was players like 18 year old Antonito Balsa
who began to make attempts at the goal but Bucharest
star defender Sirato was all over Balsa! But Balsa wasn't
alone, Madrid midfielder Joris Sneijder, from the
Netherlands, led fellow midfielders Alonso and
Fernando Ramos to try and break through Bucharest
defenders which gave enough distraction for Balsa to
run through the holes and pop the ball up and over
Bucharest GK Otescu and into the net!

62:00 Goal by Antonito Balsa [Majestic Madrid]

Majestic Madrid 2 - 2 FC Vārcolac Bucharest

The crowd was now ALIVE! On their feet cheering like
crazy and singing "OLAY OLAY OLAY OLAY"!! The rag
tag group of Bucharest supporters looked annoyed
at the singing Madrid crowd but they began to cheer
on their team! 28 minutes left in the 2nd half,
anything could very well happen! Both teams began
to scrap for possession! Neither team seemed ready
to relent any more ground than relented already! But
Madrid was making better of their opportunities! Brazilian
forward Edinho took a shot at goal that got deflection
and thus set up a corner kick. Madrid midfielder Ramos
took the corner kick but Madrid forward Gonzalo Canuto
headed the ball right into Bucharest defender Iorga
who deflected it off the field for another corner
kick for Madrid! Balsa took the corner kick this time
and the ball curled towards goal but Bucharest GK
Otescu managed to catch it and keep it out of the
net!

Valiant efforts by the Madrid team but time was
running out and a draw was looking likely! Bucharest
tried a late run at Madrid's goal but Madrid defender
Grzegorz Dudka of Poland stole the ball away and passed
it to 18 year old Balsa who made a sprint down the field!
He ran past Bucharest defenders Iorga and Cantemir but
Radu Sirato was now in Balsa's way! Balsa's solution?
He shot the ball past Sirato in between Sirato's legs,
with a dash side stepped around Sirato and before Sirato
could spin around and catch up to him Balsa shot off
a ROCKET towards Otescu.. BUT OTESCU KNOCKED THE BALL
AWAY!! But... HE KNOCKED IT TOWARDS BALSA WHO HEADED
THE BALL BACK TOWARDS AND PAST OTESCU!

87:36 Goal by Antonito Balsa [Majestic Madrid]

Majestic Madrid 3 - 2 FC Vārcolac Bucharest

Surely if Madrid has a favorite 18 year old wonder
kid it is Antonito Balsa! The crowd was on it's feet
jumping up and down celebrating with a mad delirious
joy! Bucharest tried to scramble but Madrid kept the
ball away and forward Edinho actually took another
shot at Otescu that took deflection and set up ANOTHER
corner kick for Madrid! The crowd was ELECTRIC! Would
Madrid put Bucharest away with a two goal lead? Sergio
Alonso took the corner kick but Bucharest star defender
Sirato kicked it away! The defenders held on but that
also meant the score held on which meant.. MADRID HAD
WON THEIR FIRST GAME AT HOME!

The crowd was alive with celebration! Confetti fell,
flags waved, songs were being sung, and Majestic Madrid
were celebrating giving laps around the stadium to huge
ovations from the crowd! 18 year old forward Balsa
took off his jersey and offered it to Bucharest forward
Sirato who took off his jersey and the two swapped jerseys
and embraced warmly to a BIG ovation! Sirato promised
Balsa with a smile he'd shut him out completely the
next time and Balsa nodded his head with a smile!

The rag tag group of Bucharest supporters looked
gutted for a while after the match but then began to
cheer for their team once more! Better luck has to
find them soon!

Final Score:
Majestic Madrid 3 - 2 FC Vārcolac Bucharest
=======================================================
London Lions [England] (Home)
vs
Dublin Wild Hunt [Ireland] (Away)
=======================================================
Gray overcast skies was the weather in London as the Lions
host Dublin Wild Hunt from Ireland! The home crowd in
London was very loud and supportive for the Lions, singing
anthems in their honor before the match. Dublin had a decent
amount of supporters there as well though and they sang
songs hoping the officials had glasses for this match! The
sting of the controversial officiating of the previous
week still quite fresh in their minds!

The 1st half saw the home team take control and Hugh
Beckham, star midfielder, took a shot at goal.. but it
caught deflection which meant a corner kick! The crowd
cheered as Beckham took the corner kick and it curled
towards goal.. Only for Dublin GK Cristian Torres to
catch it! Now the Wild Hunt went on the offensive and
began pressing their attack on Lions' goal but the
Lions defense stood their ground and were able to
rebuke any threats from the visitors! The Lions regained
possession and began pushing their offense yet again
and another shot by Beckham once more drew deflection
and led to another corner kick! Beckham took the corner
yet again and curled it towards goal, yet again, but
also yet again, Dublin GK Torres was there to catch
it!

Does Torres have Beckham's number today? It would remain
to be seen but Dublin's Four Forward offensive were ready
to test Lions GK Ledley Barry and see if they had his
number! They pushed towards goal and Javier Rojas evaded
Lions Defender Raul Arbeola, passed the ball to fellow
forward Ennis O'Reilly who then side stepped Lions
defender Darren Carrick, then he passed the ball to
forward Ardan Kennedy who popped the ball up and over
Lions defender Emile Cole and Wild Hunt forward Bradan
Walsh was there to recieve the ball and BLAST it past
Lions GK Barry!

30:52 Goal by Bradan Walsh [Dublin Wild Hunt]

London Lions 0 - 1 Dublin Wild Hunt

The Dublin fans were in celebration! And why not? What
a display of teamwork by the four forwards of the Wild
Hunt! The London fans seemed deflated and then they
began cheering on their team again, as it was just the
1st half and there was plenty of time for a difference
to be made! The Lions tried to recover and scramble
but the Dublin defense and midfield managed to hold
them off as the 1st half came to a close!

At the start of the 2nd half the Lions came out full
of fire and pressed the Dublin defense hard! A shot at
goal by Lions forward Hugo Carvalho took deflection and
the third Lions corner kick was in play! Beckham once
again took the corner kick and it curled towards goal..
but Wild Hunt GK Torres was yet again Beckham's foil
and caught the corner kick! Would Lions star midfielder
get one on Torres?! The Wild Hunt took control before
that could be answered and pressed the Lions defense but
the midfield pulled in to help and they staved off the
four forward attack!

That was all well and good but time was beginning to
slip away and there was 10 minutes left in regulation
time and the visitors from Dublin were leading! The
London crowd began singing songs about Dublin needing
four forwards because they didn't have one talented
enough on his own to make do, and yes they fit all of
that into a very catchy soccer anthem song, perhaps
the most musically and lyrically talented of all the
KOE crowds so far! But the songs won't make a difference
points wise if London falls in defeat for a 2nd week
in a row! But Lions werent' finished yet! Lions
defender Carrick stripped the ball from the Wild Hunt,
passed it to midfielder Hugh Beckham while forward
Steven Lescott sprinted down the field! Beckham took
the ball down the field then lifted his leg to take
a long range ROCKET... Only for Torres to flinch and
jump towards that direction... Which was a mistake
because Beckham FAKED and then took a long range
PASS towards Lescott who now had Wild Hunt GK
Torres out of position and PUT THE BALL IN THE NET!

81:18 Goal by Steven Lescott [London Lions]

London Lions 1 - 1 Dublin Wild Hunt

The songs were now joyous and full of hope! A song
rang out now from the home crowd that went...
"When you're in London, the mighty London, the
Lions score the goals"!!! Catchy use of a catchy
song!! It was all equalized now and with less
than ten minutes left time was still there for
the game to go either way! But now is when both
teams dug in their heels and defended like crazy!
Neither team was able to penetrate the other's
defenses and regulation time ran out and both
teams left with a point!

Slight disappointement from both teams supporters
but some celebration as well as last week both
teams had no points, this week they had at least
ONE point each and London now had 4 goals which
would go a long way in helping out in the rankings!
Both teams shook hands and the crowd cheered!
Fine football all the way around!

Final Score:
London Lions 1 - 1 Dublin Wild Hunt
=======================================================
Rome Legionaires [Italy] (Home)
vs
Glasgow Horde [Scotland] (Away]
=======================================================
Beautiful blue skies were the setting for one of the
more anticipated match ups of the early portion of
the Kings Of Europe season! Rome was beautiful and
a great setting for a much anticipated futbol match
and apparently for a throwdown between Rome Ultras
and Glasgow Hooligans! It was reported that before
the match there was much brawling and fighting in
the streets of Rome between supporters of Rome
Legionaires and Glasgow Horde! Authorities were SHOCKED
that no one was stabbed but apparently the brawls did
not get that out of hand. At least not yet!

The crowd was singing and full of energy ready to
support their home team! There was a contigent of
fans for Glasgow there as well and they looked scary,
rough and tough much like the players they support!
And the "hooligans" got much to cheer about early on
in the match when Horde Midfielder Gilbert Majors
stripped the ball from job endangered Rome defender
Alberto Rossi and shot the ball past Riccardo Motta
Rome's GK!

02:32 Goal by Gilbert Majors [Glasgow Horde]

Rome Legionaires 0 - 1 Glasgow Horde

The home crowd looked TICKED that their team had
conceded a goal right from the start of the game!
The "hooligans" though ROARED with their scary
guttural sounding crowd approval! Some of the Rome
Ultras hurled insults and bottles towards the
area with Horde supporters but the Horde suporters
hurled insults and bottles back! Definitely an
EXPLOSIVE situation building up in the crowd during
this match!

Things were getting heated on the field too as both
sides were starting to play rougher and rougher with
harder challenges for possession. It all boiled over
when Horde defender Ian Douglass gave a hard shove
with his shoulder to Legionaires midfielder Matteo
De Rossi and De Rossi tumbled to the ground crying
out in pain and began rolling around holding himself
in various places with a grimace of pain on his face!
Douglass rolled his eyes and screamed at De Rossi
to quit "acting" and get up. The referee walked over
and pulled out... A YELLOW CARD on Douglass! The 2nd
yellow card in KOE's season! Horde players came over
protesting including Horde GK William MacCloud. MacCloud
LOUDLY protested the referee's decision, the referee
upheld his call though. MacCloud continued to protest
when Legionaires defender, the job endangered, Alberto
Rossi got in MacCloud's face about the protests.

Oh, that was NOT the thing to do! MacCloud reared back
and FLOORED Rossi with a punch! The large GK just
LEVELED Rossi with that punch and both teams and their
benches sprinted onto the field and an ALL OUT BRAWL
WAS THREATENING TO ERUPT! Somehow the referees kept
the sides from breaking out into an all out brawl
but not before MacCloud got his punishment... A STRAIGHT
RED CARD! The Rome crowd BURST INTO JOYOUS CELEBRATION!
The "Hooligans" BURST INTO ANGRY OUTBURTS OF RAGE!
MacCloud got a red card meaning he was out for the
rest of this game and would miss next week's game
as well! Horde coach Shamus MacTaggart was on the
field now JUMPING in the referee's face! This was
again threatening to erupt into warfare! The referee
warned MacTaggart to get back off the field and
to calm down. MacTaggart went back to the bench but
was loudly protesting!

Eric Miller, Hordes Goal Keeper substitute, came on
for MacCloud who headed to the dressing room due the
stipulations of the red card. The "hooligans" were
ready to scrap now! They looked ready to fight with
the Ultras but the Ultras seemed to take JOY in
tormenting the Hooligans with taunts about their GK
being off the field!

On the field Matteo De Rossi, the Rome Midfielder who
seemed so in pain from the rough check by Ian Douglass
seemed fine and was running around as if nothing had
ever happened. He seemed joyful if anything! Defender
Alberto Rossi had a black eye but also a smile on his
face! Heck, the whole Legionaires team seemed to have a
new confidence about them and now they set upon the
Glasgow Defense! The Horde's defense was holding up but
Eric Miller, MacCloud's substitute, would get his first
test when Rome midfielder Fabio Pepe took advantage of
an opening and shot a Long Range ROCKET.. That UTTERLY
Defeated Miller!

26:46 Goal by Fabio Pepe [Rome Legionaires]

Rome Legionaires 1 - 1 Glasgow Horde

Rome was ALIVE with joy and celebration now! They had
equalized with the top team of the league and the
Horde seemed to be scrambling as if everything was now
in complete disarray! The Hooligans screamed with RAGE
at the equalization while the Ultras taunted them even
HARDER now! And they would have more to taunt about
because apparently when it rains it floods in Rome as
just under a minute later Rome forward Giorgio
Zambrotta caught a Glasgow defense in disarray, evaded
defenders Eric Majors and James McShane easily as they
seemed to be stunned at the goings ons in the game, and
Zambrotta put the ball EASILY past GK Sub Eric Miller!

27:35 Goal by Girogio Zambrotta [Rome Legionaires]

Rome Legionaires 2 - 1 Glasgow Horde

Woe are the Hooligans as now the Ultras danced and
taunted and sang songs insulting the Ultras who could
do nothing but sit there STUNNED at what was going on
in the field! And misery and woe wasn't through with
the Horde yet! The flood wasn't over at all, no indeed,
for Legionaire forward Javier Bergessio from Argentina
found Horde's defense in the same shape of utter disarray
and easily slipped past and he also found Miller to be
a POOR SUBSTITUTE INDEED!

28:36 Goal by Javier Bergessio [Rome Legionaires]

Rome Legionaires 3 - 1 Glasgow Horde

THREE GOALS! THREE MINUTES! One has to imagine Glasgow will
never forget the "Three Minutes In Rome" and nor will Rome!
The crowd was alive with song and dance and jubilation! The
Ultras were now openly laughing and mocking the Hooligans who
just HOWLED in rage and contempt! The Horde defense snapped
out of their dilemma and held off a charging Rome offense
at least through the end of the 1st half!

But before we get to the 2nd half, you had to know that there
would be trouble during half-time! And what a sight of trouble
there was! Rome police STORMED the stands where the Horde
supporters were and began ARRESTING HOOLIGANS BY THE DOZENS!
Hooligans tried to brawl with the Rome Police which led
to even MORE arrests! This was a spectacle of the WORST kind
and many where wondering why were the Horde supporters being
arrested?! The answer we would find out.. FOR STEALING TICKETS
TO THE GAME! A large chunk of the Hooligans had stolen their
tickets to get into the game and then when the Police began
their arrests the brawls started which pretty much wiped out
the rest of the Hooligans from the stands with more arrests
for fighting back! The Ultras were IN VICTORIOUS JUBILATION
THE WHOLE TIME! One has to be DEATHLY afraid for how the
return match will go in Glasgow later on in the season!

The 2nd half started, with some delay due to the spectacle of
Hooligan arrests, and the game decidedly slowed down. Officials
had words for both sides during half time about the animosity
on the field. Everyone now seemed more cautious and this
benefitted Rome who held onto possession and slowed the game
down to a crawl! Glasgow tried to get back into it towards
the end of the 2nd half but it was as if they were just going
through the motions! When stoppage time ran out it was all
over! Rome Legionaires had not only defeated Glasgow Horde
but in the process got their star GK MacCloud booted with a
red card and knocked Glasgow off the top spot in the rankings
which now would go to Madrid! Rome would go from a tie at
4th place to a tie at 2nd!

The Ultras celebrated joyously, The Hooligans were no
doubt causing trouble in Rome Jail cells, and on the
field The Glasgow Horde looked angry and cheated! No
doubt controversey will surely erupt over the officiating
of this game! Coach MacTaggart looked like he wanted
to get into a fistfight with Rome coach Enzo Pozzo
who was celebrating and dancing around with the players
as if they had just won a major trophy! How things did
not erupt into a post-game brawl of some sort, as the
players decidedly did not shake hands or well wishes
from both sides, had more to do with the police who
were out in full gear in case both sides wanted a go
at each other! But peace sort of won out and a shocking
match of utter chaos once again surrounded the Glasgow
Horde! Two weeks in and things were heating up to
boiling points already in KOE!

Rome victorious, Glasgow angry and perhaps cheated!

Final Score:
Rome Legionaires 3 - 1 Glasgow Horde
